Breakfast Hill is one of the true gems of New Hampshire golf. The course is always in excellent condition, offering a fun but challenging layout that rewards smart play. The staff is welcoming and professional, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Between the well-kept greens, the beautiful scenery, and the overall atmosphere, it’s the kind of place you look forward to returning to again and again.
Played for first time today. Great layout. In great shape. But we got to the 12th tee, a par 4, and the ranger told us to forgo our tee shots and drop in the fairway. The group in front of us was not in sight and….I couldn’t have been happier ! Even though we were told to pick up the pace, I LOVE to see a course the respects pace of play and enforces it. Makes the rounds better for the bulk of golfers who don’t want to wait around while the groups in front hack it up. Bravo to the management ! I’ll be back for sure.
I loved the course a lot. The only reason it doesn't get a five is because the pace of play was atrocious, and the Marshalls did nothing to move it along.
Excellent golf course with a really challenging and fun layout. Each hole is unique and separate from the others. A real hidden gem. I will definitely go back next time I'm down in the Hampton area.
Played Breakfast Hill in mid-July 2025. Course is in very good shape. Excellent fairways, greens and bunkers. Carts have GPS and are on the newer side. Employees are very pleasant. Grass practice range. A couple of quirky holes. With combined tee-boxes, the course has seven yardages ranging from 5004 to 6501, a great way to accommodate players at different levels and ages. If you live nearby and haven't played the course, I highly recommend you give it a try. If you are a visitor to the area it is a public course that will not disappoint.
Great course but the course “referees” started telling us to pick up the pace every few holes starting on our first hole. The frustrating thing was, we had a group in front of us and couldn’t go any quicker, but it did put a damper on the experience.
Probably the nicest public course in southern NH and they get rated highly all the time. Always in great shape. However, it plays VERY slowly when crowded. Also, the online tee time booking is just horrible. It's great if you book and absolutely play but to get charged a fee when you cancel a week in advance? Or when there's bad weather? So frustrating.
First time playing BHGC yesterday. Beautiful day, fun layout offering many club options off each tee. Luckily was paired with someone who knew the layout bc there are a decent amount of blind shots. Recommend this track.
One of the best golf courses in New Hampshire. Excellent club house with food and drinks. You can warm up for your round at their driving range and putting green
The course itself is fantastic and one of the better Brian Silva designed courses I've played. Hole 17, the last par 3, is a gem. My only real complaint is the crowding. With tee times spaced out every eight minutes, groups are on top of each other all round. A great course for a summer evening if it's not too crowded.
Great course, but pace of play is slow if you’re not the first ones out. Used to push people along a bit, but that seems to have fallen off. Last 2 rounds were over 2:40 for 9. Technical course, but not too hard.
We are playing golf in all 50 states. Breakfast Hill is our favorite so far. Course is in great shape. The flowers are gorgeous. The staff is friendly and CORDIAL. Thank you staff for making our outing enjoyable.
Greens have elusive breaks. The greens are much faster than they look. Player beware.

The course was in excellent shape. It is very well maintained. I enjoyed the variety between the front and back nines. The course is definitely a good challenge and we'll work playing!
Great course. Not as challenging as I had anticipated with most fairways pretty straight and unobstructed.
It was in beautiful condition, even with all the geese. Lots of water stops and restrooms along the way. And smart golf carts will tell you distance to the hole, the next golf cart, and more. Will def be going back!
Five stars for the course, it is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. I have gone three times this year alone. With that said, today I brought my family there, we had a tee time for 1:30 with my father, my sister and brother in-law all experienced golfers. On hole six we were harassed by a ranger, he was blaming us for rate of play issues behind us. This wouldn't have been an issue if we weren't on the heels of the group in front of us and the people behind us were never insight. He was rude, unprofessional and ruined the whole experience for my family.
We did see him dropping off the cart, I let him have it. I let him know we started at 130 and we're done at 345; 2 hours and 15 minutes the exact rate of play. His unprofessionalism and lack of knowledge regarding golf etiquette was apparent. He turned a great time, into a terrible one that will keep me away from that course indefinitely.
You likely won't have the same problem as I did. The ranger clearly singled us out for one reason or another, I'd chalk it up to his absolute ignorance regarding the game of golf. Whatever his reason was for singling us out he did it and I can't express how absolutely disappointed I am in both him as person and the organization as a whole.
First time playing this course, and it is a gem. Really fun course with a variety of shots. Course is in great condition for May. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with advice for our first time playback this course. Price is on par with the quality. I highly recommend.
A very good, upscale public golf course that is always in great condition. It is always busy and tee times are hard to come by. We played in 4:06 on a quiet Mother's Day. Book it if you see an opening.
I have never had such a positive customer service experience than I did today at Breakfast Hill. I work at a private golf course where I am a hospitality manager and I have played most/all notable public courses in NH and I could not be more impressed by how we were treated today. My standards are high, and Breakfast Hill met them on all levels. Amy in the pro shop got us onto the course after we realized that we had mistakenly booked a tee time for the next day. She went so far as to call one of the tee times near us and ask if they would move back so we could get on and the player was happy to oblige. Even after going the extra mile to fix MY mistake, she gave us our range balls free of charge. Lisha at the concession stand threw in extra chips because the bags were so small. The course was in perfect condition for late fall, even the temporary green on 5 was better than most public greens. Unmatched service and golf course and this coming from an employee of a top 5 ranked NH golf course. Will certainly be back. (I played horrible)
This is a gem of a course in New Hampshire ranked top 5; in the state. It has a unique design and very pleasant atmosphere. Also, there is a restaurant and great indoor and outdoor setting options. If you are looking for a one of a kind experience, this is the place to go.
I see a lot of great reviews. Picking a course to play while on vacation isn't always the easiest thing. Looking forward to my afternoon round on Saturday. I will update review after the round.
UPDATE: I am going to leave my review at 5 stars. The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly. i can't think of anything i didn't enjoy about the visit.
I live an hour away but I heard good things about this course so I thought I would check it out and I'm glad I did. I loved playing this course with my group of 12. The course was in great shape, mild-to-moderately challenging, clean and well maintained, and a lot of fun. It is perfect for my mid handicap skill level. The staff are over-the-top friendly and kind. Marshalls kept up the pace of play nicely. Food and drinks afterward were good. I will definitely be back.
My wife took me for my Birthday weekend. My friends had gone and always spoke highly of the course. We enjoyed playing there. The conditions weee great despite the record rain we have been having. Helpful to have a member Chris join us for the round so we could have course knowledge. If all members are like him it would be a great place to join.
Course tee boxes allow all levels to play… will come back again in the near future.
Now in "my top 3" courses. It was in fantastic shape! Greens were firm and fast (the way I like them) but overall, course was not too difficult and very "playable"; a lot of fun to play! I live 9 hours away, and will likely plan next year's vacation back to York, Maine, as much for the ocean views and fun time in Maine, as for another round of golf at Breakfast Hill GC. Although a bit "pricey" for my level of golf ($72 [with cart] by booking with Supreme Golf) it was well worth it. The round took just short of 4 hrs, 30 minutes......a little long.....but not too bad. We were likely on a 4 hour pace.
Had a wonderful private party at Breakfast Hill. Food was fantastic and the service impeccable. Highly recommend the golf club. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening.
By far the best course we have played this season so far. Staff was incredibly friendly, specifically the Starter. Hats off to you letting us fall back to last tee time for a "stress free" round as high handicappers. Course in great shape, beautiful grounds. We'll be back for sure!
