What clients say about Certified Automotive Solutions in Nashua (NH)

I find them to be very honest about what service your vehicle needs. They don’t try to sell you something you don’t need. The new car transmissions have a manufacture schedule of when the fluid needs to be replaced and the right type of fluid to maintain the warranty. If you don’t change the fluid and you have an issue you will be responsible for any cost no matter what warranty you have and it will be costly.

This place is a complete scam. I took my car in for an inspection and they estimated me over $2,000 worth of random work I "needed." They failed my vehicle, and when I asked what I failed it for, they couldn't give me a straight answer. They kept telling me the numerous things I needed fixed. I continued asking, "what specifically caused me to fail?" They stated, "your tires and your serpentine belt." First of all, you cannot fail a state inspection for a serpentine belt. This was a complete lie. I kept asking if the serpentine belt was a requirement on the state inspection and they said yes, when, in fact, it is not. They took advantage of me being a female and tried to harass me into thousands of dollars of work I did not need done. I paid them the $25 inspection fee and took my car somewhere else, where it passed. I told the new place about my experience with Certified Automotive Solutions and the shop owner said, "oh yeah, that place is a scam." Do not go here by any means.

This place is a scam. They are the stereotypical “mechanic shop” that bullies and pressures you into doing repairs you don’t need. Routine inspection turned into a $2000+ repair estimate of unnecessary repairs. They claimed that a worn serpentine fails inspection, which is false. They also lied about tire tread depth and couldn’t even show in person because they knew they were lying. Tires clearly had depth to go until the tread wear markers, yet they claimed they “required” replacement in order to pass inspection, which was a lie. They were very aggressive with their mannerisms and intimidating to speak to. They’re liars and scam-artists. DO NOT GO HERE. They seem to have decent reviews for routine auto repair, but if they’re willing to stoop to low levels in an attempt to bully people into making unnecessary repairs because of an inspection, then they should be boycotted and put out of business to better, more honest shops can take their place.

I had an oil change with Certified (Moody) Auto. While they were working on the oil change, I received a call from Mike that other work should be done. They are knowledgeable and always notifying you if things should be done now for your safety, or in the future. They are attentive and honest about your automobile needs. I have been coming to them since Mike started and even before that.

Pathetic unprofessional and lier place. I took appointment for NH inspection and they confirmed time Friday 1 PM with 25 $ price , i went on my appointment time they messed up with my appointment time and they said it's Saturday now and told me to wait 2 hrs and they will charge 40 $ , they were not ready to understand and asked me to take my keys, I came back and I ask people to beware from this place and avoid this place.

Would 1000% bring my car back and recommend to everyone. I brought my car here for a second opinion because I thought I was being overcharged and ripped off at another place, I got it towed there and had it looked at and diagnosed the same day! Micheal and the other technicians that I never got the names of were so incredibly nice and friendly. I picked my car up the next day and the technician explained everything to me about what happened to my car. They even threw in a discount! If you need a reliable place for your car, this is the place!

This place is a total ripoff. They hacked out my corvette and left me stranded

Brought my beloved Tacoma here for an oil change and 60k service. I gave Eric a list of what I wanted him to look at, and he gave attention to every detail and more. He sent me a video and pictures of what was going on with my truck and what he would need to replace/maintain. Told me the other things I was concerned about looked good. I greatly appreciate the honesty and the time and efficiency spent on my truck. Thank you again, Eric, and other shop guys!

I will not take my vehicles anywhere else, They are so professional, affordable, they reach out every time and ask me how my vehicles are doing, their follow up is second to none! This is a great company to do business with, I highly recommend them.

Thanks, Mike & your staff! I have always had a good experience with both of my vehicles. Everyone always helpful.

Would give no stars if possible. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place. Long story short, I had a lot of repairs done in the last year. Went somewhere else for an oil change in November and was denied due to a massive amount of oil that had leaked and coated the bottom of the car. Went here as they had done other work for me and they supposedly replaced the parts and fixed the issue. To the tune of $2200, which they had also originally quoted hundreds less and no one reached out to me about the increase. I found out when I went to pick it up. Anyway. Fast forward to a couple days ago and my check engine light goes on. Took it somewhere else and it’s a valve cover. While they were fixing that, they found more oil leakage. Surprise. This place took me for a ride, took my money, and left me with a ticking time bomb of a car. Now I will once again have to pay who knows what for more repairs that should have been done (or at least done right) in the first place. Photos are what my new mechanic sent me today. What they found while fixing the valve cover.

Look elsewhere. These people are a bunch of scammers, don’t bring your car there . I go in for an inspection. And they give me a bill for 3000$. Mind you I’ve brought my car there before and they never mentioned anything.Mind you also they charge you 135$ for looking at your car. Shady and horrible business. They take advantage of people situations for their gain.

These guys are a bunch of scammers. I am a mechanic was busy so I had them work on my car. They doubled the price of the estimate and charged me twice the price for parts that I could have purchased myself without a dealer discount which is substantial. I had a power steering line replaced. The bill had 2 hours to flush my power steering system. You cannot flush something that is already empty. Refilling it is part of the procedure. Not a $200 flush. I've done this job a couple of times. Never had to flush. I believe some things happen for a reason. After this I checked around hard for an honest garage to repair my old Lexus. I bought a timing belt rebuild kit along with every bearing and seal as well as water pump. I hired a local guy that was on Marketplace to repair it for me. He did it right in my yard. I gave him half of the money and then he never came back to finish he had all the parts and every nothing bolt all thrown together in a ziplock bag. A mechanic marks or leaves every bolt into the hole that belongs if possible. If not clearly keep all nuts and bolts for each part together. I dropped this off at devoted Auto Repair Hudson. They quoted me a price. Which was very reasonable seeing it was taken apart and everything just thrown together which makes it much harder to put back together. most garages wouldn't have accepted my job that was half done with none of the nuts and bolts marked to where they go which makes it much longer of a procedure. It was ready the next day for $200 less than estimate. May have the most honest caring mechanics I have ever come across in my life. I am a decent mechanic myself so I know what I'm talking about their name says it all because they are truly DEVOTED to taking care of their customers. I would never bring my vehicle anywhere else

Meh. I mean, they're okay, but *expensive*. The repair warranty system is pretty good when it does trigger. They have definitely fixed some problems with my car, but it sometimes took a few expensive tries, and tried to get me to replace my brakes way sooner than needed. check Nashua's reddit. They're probably a good choice if you don't have a Volkswagen and are okay paying a bit more and dealing with the waits to make sure things get fixed?

They got me in quickly and were efficient in getting the work done. I will definitely be returning for service again!

Broughy my car in for single part to be replaced with a quote they gave me over the phone. (i had the part). They Inspect my whole car with hopes i will spend more money. With now overcharged part im having them replace. They fix it and try to give me higher price than quoted (as expected) i explain and they drop down the price. Then my car has issues shifting and random bolts under the hood + they left my negitive battery terminal loose! (i got stranded.) Friendly staff and reasonable fix time minus the inspection money grab i didnt want.

If you are looking for a long read, this is a detailed and honest review from someone with 50,000 miles worth of service done to their vehicle at this shop. I wish I could leave more stars, because Mike is a genuine guy who truly does care about his customers. But three feels appropriate given the good and the bad. He has called me during off hours to help me troubleshoot issues. He offered to drive me to work and come pick me up when my vehicle was ready. And he sends me pictures of work being done, along with any potential work needing to be done. He is a good guy that has always been very respectful and courteous to me. However, there have been multiple times where I felt the work should have been given another look over before returning the keys to me. One example was when my truck wasn’t starting. They determined it needed a new starter or a new battery. They did the work, returned my vehicle, and charged me for both. I looked under the hood the next day and noticed that the battery was still the exact same one as when I brought it in, so I went back and explained that I was charged for the battery but still had my original. They “forgot to take it off the invoice” and refunded me for the battery. I don’t think this was them trying to get extra money out of me. But even as an honest mistake, if I hadn’t checked myself after the work was done, I would have paid an extra few hundred dollars for something that was never done to my vehicle. In a recent example, I had an oil change and air filters replaced. It was returned to me with the check engine light on, so I went in to ask quickly and was told it should turn off after driving it a few miles. That did not happen, so I checked with Mike the next day and he led me to where the issue likely was over text. I found the problem and fixed it myself. Small issue, but if I am paying for work to be done, I shouldn’t need to go in after the service has been completed and paid for to fix something myself. After an engine tune up, the check engine light was on. Again, I was told it would turn off after driving but that didn’t happen. It began flashing on my drive home, so I stopped at an AutoZone to read the code. The code it was throwing said a cylinder was misfiring. I found that a coil pack was damaged because of the tune up. Mike called me and told me to bring it back in and that he would replace the coil pack. I don’t believe he charged me for that work which is nice, but again an issue that shouldn’t have happened or should have been caught prior to giving me my vehicle back. Not too long after that (maybe a week), the check engine light was back on for another misfiring cylinder. Frustrated, the next morning I brought it to the closest shop (not Certified Auto). The cylinder 8 sparkplug wire was damaged, and the tech said it was a result of recent work being done to it. I had them repair it on the spot for $180 as they could get the part delivered in 2 hours. Had to miss half a day at work for this on top of the additional expense. Those are the main examples, but even simple things felt like corners were being cut. Every oil change they say it comes with a free tire rotation. I mark my tires each time with chalk #1-4, and they have been in the exact same position every time. Similarly with windshield fluid, each report says it was topped off, but I had to come back the next day once to get it filled up because it never was done during service. I don’t mean to bash on the business because Mike is a VERY nice guy, even calling me while he was on a family vacation to help. But it does reflect poorly on him if his employees are not doing everything they say they are doing and leaving work (sometimes damage) for the owner of the vehicle to deal with. Personally, I will be bringing my vehicle elsewhere for service after this as the cons outweigh the pros in my eyes. If I am paying for work to be done, I don’t have the time to do it myself. The last thing I want to do is have to go back in after the service has been done or have to do any additional work myself.

After years of bringing various cars (Toyotas) to the dealer, and receiving their long lists of questionable and very expensive maintenance things my car needed, I decided to give Certified Automotive Solutions a shot. One thing I liked right away was how they actually showed me what the car needed; you don't get that at the dealer. I went ahead and authorized a number of things - brakes, tires, suspension. They did the work and I then discovered that they take accountability for their work and actually fixed any issues without charging me more. Finally, something happened that convinced me to leave the dealer for good. I went back to Toyota for an exhaust problem. The dealer quoted me $2,100 for a new exhaust system. I said no and took the car to Certified Automotive Solutions for a second opinion. They took a look (no charge) and said I only needed part of the exhaust replaced for $500. I went ahead with the work and the repaired exhaust works perfectly. If you are tired of paying really high maintenance prices at the dealer, if you are tired of wondering whether the maintenance the dealer proposes is really necessary, then I urge you to give Certified Automotive Solutions a shot. They only propose and charge you for what your car actually needs. Their prices are fair. They have integrity. You will be supporting a local Nashua business, not a large corporation who just wants to profit off you.

Mike and his staff were very courteous and professional from start to finish with my service experience! Keeping me up to date with videos of the work that needed to be done, an explanation of why these services were needed and offered me coupons to save some money on my needed services. I found my new mechanic for my car needs!

They completed the work I needed in a timely manner at a good cost. When an unexpected issue occurred they made everything right. I will definitely continue to use them for service going forward.

I originally brought in my truck for a State Inspection sticker. Mike later called me to let me know he was working on the inspection when he found the tires appeared to need rotating and the front/read differentials needed to be flushed. He provided clear and concise reasons for these suggestions and also mentioned the warranties. I gave him the OK to proceed. I later picked up my truck and after driving it a couple minutes I noticed a loud whooshing sound coming from the rear. I called and was told to bring it right back so they can take a look. Within 30 minutes they had taken it for a ride, fixed the problem and I was back on the road. What I liked most is the urgency and care they displayed and the follow-up call asking how everything was going a couple days later. Thank you guys!!!

Great service every time. They really try to look out for the longevity of your vehicle. As well as treating repeated customers right. Very open and honest in their process. This is my go to mechanics, best in class! 10s across the board!

This is my 2nd review, under an anonymous name due to the harassment I received from the owner Mike, who clearly doesn’t take accountability for his actions nor does care about customer relations. I had my vehicle inspected, a ten year old “Honda”, and like others had my vehicle taken completely apart looking for any and everything that could be fixed. I received a bill between $1500 and $2300. I spent what money I had saved for Christmas on my vehicle, because he told me my vehicle could stop working anytime, etc. Putting the fear into a single mom at Christmas time must be his specialty, because when I got home and started reading reviews I was furious that he did this practice quite often with car inspections. I decided to leave my own review about my experience. Mike immediately started calling my phone, leavings voicemails threatening me with a lawyer for slander, and sending texts. It got so bad I took my review down, just like he demanded. When I see other reviews complaining about his inspections, I see him continue to blame customers. “I took you through a walk-through and showed you the problems”. “You agreed to the price.” “We helped you get financing.” No accountability whatsoever. Imagine if you went to the doctor for a cold, and he said “While you’re here, I see that you are overweight, your vision is blurry, you have an ingrown toenail, and your balding. You have to pay me to fix these issues too, on top of your cold.” That’s what Mike does.

Our Saab would run and quit at will. Mind you we had already spent 1,800 $ at another garage. Mike said he’d take a look at it. The problem was assessed and determined it was too costly for them to attempt to search in order to locate the cause. They recommended a Garage way out in the Country who. primary works on Saabs. We appreciated the fact they would look at the car, then to admit up front they did not have the correct diagnostic equipment as the issue was complex. They were very business like and did not charge us for their time. There shop is an ample size with many employees There labor rate was at the lower end of the rate scale. When the opportunity presents itself we definitely will return for routine Service.

Mike was easy to talk to and showed me everything on top.of explaining what was going on and what needed to be done to ly vehicle. It's hard to find a trust worthy shop these days and on top of it a reliable shop. So having found this shop is one less thing to I have to deal with. I would recommend this shop for all your automotive maintenance and repairs. Good group of guys here who know what's going on.

Very thorough and transparent mechanics, Mike is especially serious about communicating with his customers. Every problem they found came with videos and pictures and he made sure to check with us before doing any additional work. Best mechanic experience I've had in years! If you're legitimately trying to take care of your car, this is the place that won't miss anything.

They most reliable mechanic I ever dealt with. I was someone who only trusted dealer ship when it comes to my cars. But certified solution is we’re is still. No more dealer prices. This is better pricing and better service. From front service desk and my boy Alex to the employees you guys go above and beyond. Started there as a customer. And these guys make me feel like an family. Thank you for making my 740 Li feel brand new

This place is the best! I moved to Nashua somewhat recently and have been going to the same mechanic my whole life. I’m a young girl and don’t know much about cars so I was worried about trying somewhere new and being taken advantage of. I was lucky to find this place. They are efficient, transparent with their pricing, and do really great work. I trust them fully with my car and have had nothing but positive experiences! I definitely recommend

Beware!!! I brought my wife's car here for a state inspection. Unknown to me they do there own expanded inspection tearing things apart looking for potential issues, which is fine except they most likely create issues and in my case they ripped apart electrical wires and tried to cover it up without mentioning their screw up. Lucky for me I found their screw up before an electrical fire could happen. I would never let them touch another one of our vehicles!

Friendliest owners/staff I've ever met. Brought my new car in twice to get inspected, the first one was a total loss, and they were genuinely concerned and sorry that the car was gone. But super awesome with getting us in for a quick appointment for the second one! Love a family run business and friendly staff! Thanks y'all!
