This place they don’t know what they say. I have called this morning and I ask how much under my business which I have permit from a Nashua job I ask how much they gonna cost me per tone to throw clean concrete, no metal no painting .. and the lady over the phone she told me if it’s clean not charge as soon as I go there after two hours they told me they don’t take anymore. It’s just ridiculous.

I have been going to the landfill for years and my experience have been very pleasant. The people have been very helpful in giving directions and information needed when asked. Thank you

They don't care to do their job at all and will lie to you to get you to spend money. The lady at the reception window has no respect or consideration for others and if you have any questions or concerns they will be happy to slam the window on your face. Don't bother to call as they seem to never pick up the phone and will barely communicate through e-mail. Thanks trash people for the truly garbage experience!

Guy who works in weigh station is really nice and helpful. He has a cute dog that works with him. There's a couple of very kind and helpful ladies that work in the center. There's also one lady that's so disgruntled, you'd think she was stationed there as a punishment. Sometimes my trash isn't picked up. The responses when I call for assistance vary between accusatory and helpful and responsive. The recycling truck just came by. As he empties the recycles, some fall to the ground. He just leaves it there and drives off. Guess he's not really into recycling. Not a perfect system, but better than trash service in a third world country. Summer 2023 update: Recycle guys are hit or miss when they pick my recycles up, but most of the time they go from great to amazing. Bad ones just toss the recycle boxes and leave recycles on the ground. But the good ones are really, really good. They empty the boxes and gently put them on the ground in a line. Or they stack them for me. Think about how many times they have to do that every day. A+ for those guys. Could not believe it. And a shoutout to Debbie who is new at the department. What a breath of fresh air. So friendly and courteous whenever I call. Summer 2024. Nice guy with dog seems to have retired and been replaced with a dump hall monitor. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and bad teeth. Harassing me for thinking I was throwing out something prohibited which she discovered I wasn't. Then after realizing her mistake and not apologizing, she doubles down and lectures me on what I can't throw out like I'm a child. Then she scampers after an elderly gent to see what he's throwing out. What a grouch.

So they stopped taking waste oil and coolant at the land fill for the taxpayers of the city. Then tell use where to go to get rid of it and pay for it at that. Well, newsflash, you're still taking it.....One way or the other, you're still getting my waste oil and coolant. Have it your way, but you're still getting it.

I mostly use it for recycling. I'm lucky because I am retired and make my visits during the week and there is hardly anyone there.

Some of the rudest employees you'll ever meet, but some are very kind and helpful. It's a dump what do I expect, I guess. You can put your trash here and it'll stay there.

Nice people I don't like the fact construction debris went from $90 a ton to $300 a ton demacrat run city spend spend spend Buy a burn barrel other than that no problem

Rudest municipal employees you’ll ever meet. The emotional employee running around on the four wheeler harassing patrons about what they're throwing away is a nice touch and good use of taxpayer dollars.

$5 for an annual pass/sticker per vehicle and unlimited use. Pretty much everything is allowable under the normal pass beyond construction materials. Always fairly empty and no wait.

Very proud that the men and ladies work there and they do there a great job to keep our streets clean rain or shine thank you

I absolutely love going to the dump. John is the nicest guy ever and always brings a smile to my face! Very helpful to bring all my recycling/trash/donations/electronics. I would love if they were open a little bit later but I understand.

Staff is extremely rude, as a tax paying Nashua resident I would expect better than this garbage treatment we get. Things really went downhill ever since the management changed. It’s a shame city alderman have absolutely no oversight here.

Nashua Landfill is redonkulously "clean" and well organized. The people who work there are always very friendly and helpful. I have lived near the SW part and the NE part of the landfill and surprisingly the smell or the noise haven't ever been a major issue... or a minor one for that matter! The City does a good job keeping our dirtiest area tidy, organized and odor muted. Thanks Nashua!

Man.... what a dump. This place smells like childhood. Because I grew up in trestle brook next door. Nothing like the smell of stale decomposition and methane to bring you back! 4 stars instead of 5 because the staff are a real buzz kill sometimes but generally they are alright for city government employees. Not like those police jamokes. Those dweebs are really touchy emotionally. Just sayin'.

I've been using the Four Hills landfill since I moved to Nashua in 2007. Initially I used it for construction debris while renovating the house we moved into. Then I used it to recycle electronics and old appliances. Most recently I've used it to clear yardwaste from my partially wooded lot where leaves and pine needles are constantly accumulating. The staff have always been courteous and very helpful. The $5 annual fee is negligible for the service provided. And even that is waived for residents 65 and older.

Not paying attention I didn't realize it closed at 4:00 and the gate closed. Thank goodness it has an automatic opener and I got out. They really provide a great service.

Professional, Friendly, Well Stocked. Shields in front of registers. I felt safe and protected. I picked some decorative items for my Dodge Ram. Awesome!

Love that the land fill is open on Saturday. Lines weren't to bad. Between all the stops electronics, brush, oil as nd then the dumpersters about 1/2hr.

I have no complaints. I utilize the Nashua landfill for my disposals. Currently, my understanding is they have run out of the 2020 dump stickers and you can use your sticker from 2019. Please read the signs so the line doesn't get slowed down. The traffic can be insane sometimes so be mindful of those who are behind you.

I swear the lady who drives the dump truck that picks up trash in my neighborhood finds any possible reason to NOT pick up my trash can. Seems every other week it doesn't get picked up. Slightly ajar, too close to the basketball hoop (8+ft?!?), too far back. Geez. In limerick form: There once was a solid waste facility; Good service far beyond its capability; The trucks they skip trash; Despite taking your tax; And then must come again separately.

It is a garbage dump for the city or Nashua and their residents. My only gripe is that you have to pay five dollars for a pass to use it even though Nashua does not have rubbish/bulk pick up every week like every where else in the country. Typically in my experience dumps are free for residents if they do not provide the pick up. This place sometimes causes traffic on 111 the main road outside and cars exiting there fail to yield or wait their turn which is a bit dangerous.

Poorly run operation that is an extension of the sub-par municipal solid waste/recycling collection service. As a Nashua resident, you must pay an additional $5 to get a vehicle window sticker, which further subtracts windshield visibility (inspection sticker) and earns you the right to use the facility. In addition to sticking something else on your window, you will be assessed the $5 fee regardless if you pay for trash collection through the city’s solid waste dept. The fee is small, but should be waivable for individuals who already pay for city trash collection. In order to obtain this sticker, one must visit a small trailer wedged between inbound/outbound traffic lanes. Inside, there is an extremely small vestibule where perhaps 3-4 people can stand crammed shoulder to shoulder. Once you’ve had the opportunity to get up close and personal with your fellow line members, you will be seen by a surly city employee who is dismissive, rude, and shoots the breeze with trucks leaving the outbound site while a line of people are waiting. Hello! We are residents paying taxes for a service – it’s why you have a job! Other issues involve lack of clearly defined lanes for different drop-off points. Particularly a problem with the trash area near the exit of the facility. Always seems to be a cluster with people trying to back up to the drop off while others are looking to get to the exit as fast as possible. Some basic painted lane lines or cones would be nice - shouldn't be hard for the DPW, right? The landfill hours also leave something to be desired. For those with normal full time 9-5 type jobs, you basically have Saturday morning to make your landfill run. Hope you never have plans in that prime weekend slot, because it’s the only time you can go to the Nashua dump. How about being open for the whole day on Saturday, or (gasp) also for part of the day Sunday?

11/16/2018 Trashed picked up yesterday at house. Brought truck load of leaves to dump. Asked lady inside if there would be leaves pick up today. Her reply: If your trash day is today your leave bags will be picked up today by the end of the day .Also have tried calling the number on site 589-3410. love the attomated service. need that for my house also lady I talked with lies like every town DPW official. Must be part of the hiring process. Leaves threw out neighborhood still on side of roads

I've been using the landfill regularly for the nearly twenty years that I've been a resident. I recently interacted with a staff member via email, and the discussion was pleasant and the woman I communicated with was helpful. My only complaint is there is no longer, and hasn't been for many years, a place to leave items for others who might be able to use them.

Great way to recycle yard waste. I wish they still sorted. The single stream area for recyclable materials is quite messy. Otherwise, a 'clean" dump.

Everyone is always friendly and helpful. I go in on a daily basis and have never had an issue here. I don't see why anyone can complain. It's a landfill and residents pay $5 a year to dump here. Wanna complain about the place why don't you start paying for someone to come remove your trash for you!
