This tow company operates in a dishonest and predatory manner. My girlfriend’s vehicle was towed from our apartment complex overnight, despite the fact that she had a valid parking permit properly displayed on the vehicle.
When I first called, the company claimed the car was towed for not having a permit. After I challenged that claim and informed them the permit was on the vehicle, they suddenly changed their story and stated the tow was actually due to expired registration plates.
That explanation also did not hold up. My girlfriend’s vehicle was registered on 11/24/25 and I personally verified that the plates were valid and not expired. At that point, it was clear the reason for the tow was either gross incompetence or a deliberate attempt to justify an unlawful tow after the fact.
This feels like a classic bait-and-switch excuse to wrongfully tow vehicles and collect fees, hoping residents won’t push back. The lack of accountability, shifting explanations, and unwillingness to admit fault is extremely concerning.
I strongly caution anyone dealing with this company. If your vehicle is towed, document everything, ask questions, and don’t take their word at face value. This company should not be trusted to operate fairly or honestly.
Ed was awesome!! He went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care off and safe. He maintained constant contact with me to let me know where he was. That was great comfort, because it was very late night.

Very quick and professional. My vehicle had been sitting for well over a year and very quickly he was able to get it started and running. On top of that I have an extremely low clearance vehicle and he had all the tools and know how necessary to get it loaded without even as much as a scratch on the bottom of the front bumper. Would highly recommend.

I recently had my tire blow out and was on the shoulder in the cold. I needed to get to my kids opointment and was running late. It was just a mess of a day. Thats when Will showed up and saved the day. Not only was he very professional, but very knowledgeable and quick to help. Very satisfied with his work and will call again if needed.

I’ll set the scene. It was a freezing cold night December the 9th at approximately 6:59, give or take 29 seconds. My truck decided it was not going to start. I contacted my insurance company to send me a jump. Lake County Tow was first to respond, with quickness and easy. Communicating and keeping me updated until my night in shining armor Ed arrived in his perfectly quaffed tow truck, with glistening chains, and sturdy hands. Ed began his work. Asking me to sit in my vehicle to stay warm from the frightful wind and dipping temperatures. Ed was quick with his jump and had me on my way lickety split with a glisten in his eye. Thank you hero Ed. You are truly appreciated.i got you Ed!
Ed has been a great operator. He called shortly after the dispatch called to re-confirm the vehicle location and the issue. He arrived and promptly got the truck into position so he could further assess what was needed to be done. He introduced himself and asked if I was riding with him. He explained that’s it’s a truck and not lots of room and might not be comfortable and then instructed me to wait for his instructions for entering the truck after my vehicle was placed on the bed. He exclaimed that this was the most cooperative broken tie rod he’s had. After loading and strapping, he said I could enter the truck. We got talking about tow trucks had had some things in common. I would highly recommend Ed be you recovery operator with Lake County Tow.
I had a terrible experience here. I parked for just 30 minutes and registered for guest parking, but due to the heavy rain, I accidentally entered only the last 4 digits of my license plate. This was a simple typo, not a lack of permission. When the tow truck driver arrived, I was right there. I politely explained the mistake, apologized, and showed him the active registration confirmation on my phone. Instead of being reasonable, he was incredibly rude and proceeded to hook up my car right in front of me. I called his manager, hoping for a professional resolution, but he was equally rude and dismissive. Despite me having proof of registration and being present before the car was taken, they charged me $155. This is extortion, not parking enforcement. They are clearly more interested in predatory fees than actual parking management. Avoid this place if you can.
