Stayed in the campground with rv, very nice, clean, convenient to the Cog rail and many hiking trails. Has beautiful river running next to it.

Cabins are clean and modern and you can tell that the owners have made considerable investments in the property. Owners are always right there whenever something comes up or if you have questions. Very friendly staff.

Staff was kind, welcoming and amazing! Very clean site and restrooms. Everything you need in a nice small campground. Will stay here again!!!

Great spot along the Ammonoosuc River. Nice shaded site with potable water and electricity. Clean and ample, centrally located bath house. Nice camp store with a solid inventory of anticipated needs and sundries. Welcoming, responsive staff. Campground had excellent proximity to all kinds of wilderness trails, Bretton Woods, Bethlehem, and Littleton.

We had such a great time at this campground. The owners are so nice and worked with us with our special needs child by letting us switch cabins that was a better spot for her. The cabin's and the pool were very clean. We felt very comfortable here! Thanks again!

Our family had 3 sites for camping, 1st time here. The place was emaculate with well kept grounds. The bathrooms were by far the best of any campsites I've been to: decorated with gorgeous wood and enough space and full length mirror, hot free showers which is huge, loved the music playing in the bathroom, great water pressure. The camp is right on the river which is beautiful and oh, so clear. Bring water shoes for walking up the river. Nice porch swings overlooking the river. Their pool was beautiful and great temperature. It was nice to have that and small game room, and the privately owned ducks were fun for the kids. The only reason I gave a 4 star was due to privacy and small areas which made it difficult to back in campers- especially if campsite is full.. The large rigs had no privacy. Some of the tent sites along the river were better for privacy, but very small. I would have enjoyed larger picnic tables- very tiny and hard to set up your camping stove and eat on the tiny tables. I also didn't care for the fact you couldn't walk down to the river at your tent site. Dogs can be off chain in river- THANK YOU- but would of been nice to put a camp chair in river by our tent area. We will return! Thank you for a home run camp area !

Charges 25$ USD to cancel or change the dates, only advised after cancellation was processed, like 3 months prior to the camp date....I had purchased the additional travel protection but apparently that doesnt even cover a cancellation 3 months on advance. Wasnt provided any documentation on this travel protection so have to take their word for it. When asked for the receipt I was told it had been deleted from their system due to my cancellation. Very fishy business practices if you ask me.

My sister and I camped here last week for 3 days and had a great time. We had plenty of room on our clean site and the campground was very quiet. The bathrooms and showers were always clean. It was very hot last week and the pool was always crystal clear and clean. There was also a game room with checkers, pool and foosball table.Michelle was very pleasant and answered all my questions about their winter camping. Looking forward to returning again soon.

I have stayed many times at Along the River. I got to know Robert and Michelle in the many years I have owned property at Twin Mountain and Bretton Woods, additional family and friends stay at Along the River. The cabins provide a fantastic stay! The cabins are exceptionally clean. Some cabins are pet friendly, Robert and Michelle promptly answer questions before and during the stay. The location is ideal, offering a peaceful retreat while maintaining proximity to skiing, hiking trails and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at Along the River, Robert and Michelle really make you feel you are family!

This is my third visit here across a number of years. The spaces are predictably small but in some spots there is welcoming shade. I paid $56 for one night in a very pleasant, shaded spot. I was whining about $45 a few years ago and, well, the prices keep going up, as they are at every campground in New England and elsewhere, sadly. This property is still rather small -- not small for New England standards, I guess -- and still feels cramped, as I recalled in previous visits. The bathrooms are also a bit cramped too, but clean and well maintained. But that WiFi .... WOW. Rock solid -- and I'll never take that for granted. It's family run -- perhaps that helps explain the signs all around. But the owner stopped me on my way out, saying he remembered me and appreciated my returning. Another WOW. As before, I'm very likely to return ... given I've been a regular visitor to Twin Mountain for many years.

We just completed a week at this campground and I can’t say enough good things about it! The grounds were immaculate! The bathrooms were always clean and in working order. Free showers was a nice bonus. The kids loved the pool and it was crystal clear all week. Lots of attention to detail from the owners. We typically stay at larger campgrounds, but we really loved it here. It was the perfect home base for a week of adventures. I read lots of reviews about the rules being strict and I was a little worried about it, but it was nice to have the quiet hours adhered to and not have to worry about loud campfires going late into the evening like we have experienced in the past. The only very minor wish list item would be to have a washer/dryer available on site. It was not a big deal on this trip because we packed accordingly, but traveling with kids, accidents sometimes happen! We will definitely be returning!

We stayed in site #1 for two nights. This is a full hookup site in the far corner of the campground; it was more than big enough for our 18' trailer. The sites in that area (and along the river) have vegetation to screen them from their neighbors, which is nice; the "large vehicle" sites are more closely packed. My one issue with our site is that the sewer pipe is at the back corner of the site, and there was no way to get a good slope for our sewer hose. As such, I only drained the gray tank while we were there. For a two night stay that wasn't an issue. The pool is clean, and doesn't seem over-chlorinated; we used it when we arrived. Be aware that it quickly drops from the 3' level to 8'. Wood bundles are enough for a two-hour fire, and are dry; we had no trouble lighting them. They also seem to be mostly hardwood, so if you want to cook over the fire you can. Before we booked, I saw comments about road noise. However, I didn't notice any from our site.

My brother and I have camped here before, and this year brought my daughter, son-in-law, and 1-year old granddaughter. They all loved the campground, and were especially pleased with the child-friendly playground, the pool, the owner's duck pen, and the clean bathhouse. I had hoped they would love the experience and my daughter has confirmed they did, and are already looking forward to a return visit to the campground next year!

Avoid this campground. The owners are ruthless uninformed EV haters. They refuse to let EV owners charge their vehicle on their site which they are already paying $90/night for. Nowhere online does it say it's not allowed. On top of that they are clueless when it comes to the actual cost to charge yet claim it will damage the pedestal which is again, false! Stay away from close minded places like this.

We enjoyed our stay here in our camper a week or so ago while on vacation. This is a nice campground, very clean. We did not use the pool but it looked clean and well kept. The rec hall was an added bonus when we needed something to do in between mountain adventures. It filled up on the weekend but the weekdays were quiet!

This is one of my favorite places to camp. The location is perfect for local hiking and biking trails. The facilities are always spotless and the grounds are beautifully maintained. They have seating next to river which is my favorite part. We found this place several years ago and they are constantly making improvements to their property. The owners are amazing and always have tips on local attractions off the beaten path. They are also open year round which is really hard to find for camping. Highly recommend this place!

We stayed at one of the river tent sites with our 2 kids. Cleanest campground I have ever stayed at! The pool was crystal clear and the kids enjoyed wading in the river. While it was close to the road, we didn’t hear the road noise from the river sites. Close to Franconia Notch and Crawford notch (and Santa’s village!:)) We will be back for sure.

Had a great time camping here!! The campground was clean and quiet and in a great location to hiking, and biking trails. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back!!

What kind of people would charge someone’s credit card near $ 200.00 for not showing after I explained. Only few miles short of Laconia on Wednesday June 17, 2025 around 11;00 11:30 pm I got an emergency call, close relative involved in auto accident. I had to turn around, drive home to ct. Few days later got credit card statement. Owners of Along the River Camp Gr. Charged me 197.06. I called told the man what happened, he offers up A 50/ 50 split. Even after Explaining what had happened. Comes down to morals, & bit of sympathy. Even upon the first original call in. The girl told me their bout 30 miles from Laconia. Don’t believe that to be true. My experience, not very nice people. I refuse to pay, & will fight this, & Will mention my experiences to all I know, & yet to meet. The night an emergency phone message changed my planned get away. Shame on the owners of this camp ground. Shows whom they really are.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds in the Whites. We have been coming here for over 5 years, usually multiple times a season and have always had a great experience. The grounds are well cared for, sites are quiet, and the owners have always been nothing but friendly and accommodating! They have even helped out when struggling with truck/camper issues temporarily giving me a safe place to park while I went home and got things repaired. The campground is centrally located to so many great places in the Whites and perfect for those interested in visiting AMC facilities, ATV trails, hiking trails, and has easy access to downtown Bethlehem and Littleton! We will continue to come here for many years !

We have been staying here every year for at least the last 5 years. I look forward to camping season every summer and to visit ATRC. The staff is pleasant, grounds/facilities clean and easily accessible. It’s in a great area with plenty of fun things to do. Every year we visit Rek-lis Brewing and this year we went UTVing during Memorial Day weekend. Can’t wait to get back up there again this summer. (Our dog loves it too)..

Stayed for three nights at a tent site, two adults and two dogs. Sites are well kept and the location of the campground to many beautiful sites and hiking trails can't be beat. The tent sites are close together and some have nothing separating them, if you want more privacy I would go for a cabin or another campground. But if you want a convenient, well maintained and safe place, this is it! Bonus points include free showers, river access, beautiful pool, and friendly vibe.

Amazing campground we drove by last year & wanted to return this year to stay. Everyone was so friendly this campground is absolutely beautiful. We loved how quiet and family oriented it was. We stayed on site 9 there is little privacy but if you wanted to be with another family 8 & 9 would be ideal. It just made us meet 2 different sets of neighbours while we were there. We will never forget the thunder showers in the mountains in a tent along the river it’ll be a core happy family memory that we “survived” lol thank you again for your hospitality. Ps if you are looking for somewhere to stay one night or only a few this is one of the few that doesn’t have a minimum night stay requirement.

Stayed here in our fifth wheel and came to hike Mt Washington (cog train station is 20 minutes away). Nice, quiet, clean place. Little over 50 spots in a mix of cabins, tents, and 30/50 amp RV spots. No laundromat but the bathrooms were very clean with outside sinks for doing dishes. Good for kids with a playground and pool. The northern end is next to the highway so likely a little noisy but seems to be filled by mostly seasonal folks. No pull through sites but plenty of space for maneuvering so honestly if you can’t back up your rig and safely at that you shouldn’t be driving it. No dump station but all RV sites are full hookup. Priced VERY reasonably. I got quotes from 3 surrounding places at $20 a night more. I would definitely return here!

I wish I can give more than 5 stars to this place! It is just wow! Everything is perfect! We had two spots, one to camp and another cabin. Camping spot next to river access was very beautiful! River is super duper cool. Cabin was very clean and cozy. Pool was awesome too. They celebrated their 5 anniversary on the weekend we stayed, it was a lovely celebration with good and activities. We did mt. Washington hike and it was very convenient to go to parking lot where hike starts for ammonasac ravine trail. Wanna come here every year! Kitchen has everything we can ask for! Gift shop had very cool things too. The own is super awesome too!

We discovered this campground using google searching for places to stay that had quick access to hiking. This is a very nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. The have sites in the back that are fully wooded, sites in the middle that have morning sun and afternoon shade.. and sites toward the front that have full sun all day... They do have sites very close to the road, but also have sites that are near the river where you can barely hear the road noise. The owners are very nice, staff is very friendly. We booked 2 weekends in a row.. and booked another reservation before we left. There is a comfortable community spot with swings overlooking the river. Stairs near there to access the river where you can put your chair right in the water and relax. Very dog friendly, my yellow lab loves it there. The owners work hard! You can see them always out and about from early in the morning until evening doing what is needed to keep everything running. We will be making many visits to this campground. Highly recommend if you want to stay around Twin Mountain to reserve a spot here!

Started coming here in June-July 2022 . My aunt used to have a condo in the area and sadly had to sell it. So I quickly got to googling campgrounds as my boyfriend and I were starting to get more into camping. This one seemed close by to our activities we like up here (Franconia notch, the basin, Littleton Main Street , Bethlehem skatepark- all close by to this campground!) and seemed like our fit. We are both young (in our early 20s) and it was our first time camping on our own. The owners upon arrival were very welcoming and treated us with respect. Something I look for especially still being so young, they completely respected and treated us excellent.. The site we got was a regular tent site i believe t14 our first time up. Very clean and quiet and close together but it got us to say hello to new people and meet some cool dogs:) definetely great for a quick trip up for a smaller tent for a regular tent site. we explored the campground and loved site R7 while looking at other sites and booked it for that end of August for a week (that quick we were back!)We’ve been hooked on the river sites ever since ! We got a larger tent and there was still so much room at the site. There’s awesome river views, tubing, a very well kept pool, privacy (R7), animals, as well as crystal mining, but most of all there is an atmosphere that feels family like. There is amazing sunset as well as clear views of stars at night. The owners are constantly keeping up the place and cleaning and are always friendly no matter when talking to them. I appreciate this campground as I was worried when my aunts condo was sold I would stop making memories up here but it has allowed me to make even more (as well as become a better camper)! Can’t recommend enough!! Just booked for Memorial Day 2024!

We stayed on one of the campsites with full hookups. The owners are very nice and want to make sure you have a good stay. They were even nice enough to wait for us a little past final check in when we ran into some mechanical issues. They run a very family oriented place and keep it very clean. They were even nice enough to lower us borrow a jack when we had a issue with one of trailer tires. Only issue I had was that we were in a rather tight spot that was muddy, but it was the only one I saw at the campground. Also, in all fairness, they were accommodating us in the first place as we had to reschedule our original trip. Overall, I would recommend this camp ground for your camping. We have a 25 for travel trailer which they had several full hookup sites for. They also have some very nice tent sites right on the river and a very clean bath house (we did use is after we packed up our camper for the return home). Will be looking to book here again, maybe even this year if e can find some own dates.

We stayed at this campground in early July at site 16. We absolutely loved it. It is a small privately owned campground that is immaculately clean. Showers were clean and water was warm. Our site was not on the river because we wanted full hookup, but man are those nice sites. One of the owners personally came to warn us about a bad impending thunderstorm as well. I would highly recommend this campground and we would definitely return.

We tent camped here for two nights and were very impressed! The Robert, Michelle, and their daughter were all extremely friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were immaculate and it was so nice to have free showers. We had a site along 302, which we found gets a surprising amount of traffic all night (maybe 15-20 cars?). The campground itself was very clean and well maintained. We also really appreciated how quiet it was, especially given that it looked fully occupied! We will absolutely be coming back.
