Run don’t walk away from these scam artists. They were called by the local police today when I hit a deer. I told them I had AAA but they said accidents weren’t covered. They wanted to take the car to their location but I said I had a local service center I always used and wanted the car taken there. They followed me to the nearby site and then said “We need $250 cash before we take your car off the truck.” I told them I didn’t have $250 cash on me but had credit cards and they replied “cash only or we take back to our lot and you pay for another tow.” I told them, I have no cash and no car what am I supposed to do? My car repair person was listening to the discussion and came out and paid them for me and said they could add it to my repair bill. Thank goodness for my service center but shame on Rickers fir trying to exploit someone in a bad situation. I’ll be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and everyone I know. Shame on you Rickers!
I was offered 75 dollars for a junk 99 ram 1500. I got 275 dollars and kept tires and rims at Maine scrap yd. I was quoted 75 dollasr to tow. No thank you
This was a police tow after I was in a serious accident. They are not a AAA approved towing company and I now understand why. First the owner told me he would take the title PLUS $125 in cash to satisfy the $275 tow and storage bill. I sold it to another salvage company for $1535. When I went in to pay the bill, the owner completely flipped out swearing and yelling at me because the vehicle was not going to be picked up until the following morning. He threatened to put my vehicle in the street and claimed he was taking a bath on the tow. My guess is that the main reason for this treatment is that he didn't get to rip me off to the tune of $1400. I called the police and reported the incident and my sense is they will never call this outfit again.
This scumbag POS company is trying to charge me $498 for tow and storage fees. They charged me for storage for days they were not even open for me to get my car! This company is ripping me off even tho the car has been there less than 48 hrs. They should change there name from rickers to Ripoffs because it truly fits them better!
Now they refuse to speak to the owner of the car because we told them they were charging double what anyone else would charge. The lady at Ripoff's hung up on the car owner after hearing the truth! How convenient for them they are charging outrageous prices with Bike Week kicking off! If anyone else has been over charged feel free to post the charges or contact me!
