This establishment far exceeded my expectations! My truck was having diesel engine trouble, smoking, reduced power, leaking fluid, etc. Upon arrival their team troubleshot the problem quickly. Ordered and replaced the engine as well as a few other parts per my request as well as identifying and replacing a couple of other parts that were worn or broken. They had all of the work completed by the end of the week as promised and it was fixed first time right! I highly recommend them for your vehicle repair needs! Thank you!
Beware of this place .. 5 mile Tow from Rochetser to Rochester on a Saturday was charged 4 hours of service @ 215.00 for $860.00 Was never told there would be a 4 hr minimum charge Will Never use this service Again
My buddies RV broke down in Alton Bay, after exhaustive attempts through his insurance roadside support, and many other companies to get towed, someone mentioned try Alan's Diesel.
BOOM, Done! Within an hour (50 miles away), this tow driver appears and within minutes RV is on it's way for repair. Very professional, timely and knowledgeable. The only good thing from a bad day!

Didn’t have the ability to get work done. Due to budget and unforeseen costs for the repairs but this man is honest, respectful and has earned this review. I would definitely work with him in the future unlike some of their neighbors in this area. He truly seem to understand I need to get my vehicle repaired regardless of the year, but I understand a lot of peoples hesitation, so I will probably come back to him for some of the other repairs and do some with my stepdad. Planning on going tiny house truly hope this business has it a productive year?? happy Fourth of July all??
Had them replace a rear pinion seal and within 10 months they tell me the same seal is leaking. I asked them to fix it and they said sorry the seal is only guaranteed for 90 days. Wouldn’t even look at it to see if maybe they did something wrong putting it in. Won’t ever go back.
Company sent us to them to get 5th wheel replaced on company truck . Everyone here was super nice and friendly, also fast and efficient. Very knowledgeable gentleman, ordered the part that morning allowed us to sit and wait in hopes part would be in by noon he said if not first thing in the morning. Part came in by noon and they installed new 5th wheel same day . Plenty of people on duty . I must say the best commercial repair place yet .
Not an honest place. damaged my car. I Used Alan’s towing service specifically , 1/22/23 I got stuck in soft snow, they ripped off/damaged my front bumper during the pull out .the damage done to vehicle was from the tow and they refused to be held accountable.100% Would not recommend this place. They will disrespect you and from my experience they will also gaslight you..
Responding that you believe you didn’t do something that you did, after I called you out as a gaslighting company is awfully telling.. best of luck to you with your “reputable business” . You run a chop shop. Like I said before you can’t hold yourself accountable. Blocking me on Facebook as well, confusing I thought leaving reviews was good for people to understand what quality to expect from a company. You deleted it.
Needed a container moved and they were timely in every interaction, very reasonable in price, and Wally who did the move was a pleasure to talk to and a complete professional. Couldn’t be happier with the service provided and complete interaction start to finish! I’ll certainly be using them for other services in the future!
My wife’s car started making a horrible noise during idle, we went to D&D in Cleveland and they quoted $550.00 just to look for the problem. Decided to get a second opinion at Alan’s and they fixed the problem for $35.00. They weren’t sure what the problem was but executed good mechanic skills and found it and fix it within 20 minutes. Very professional, and polite. Will definitely use their shop from now on.
I have been meaning to write this for a while, I can't express how absolutely amazing Alan's is! I have been through 10 garages and have been mistreated, lied to and attempted to take advantage of. Everyone at Alan's from the front desk, to the mechanics to the owner are incredibly amazing! Their prices are affordable, they work fast, they keep you updated and are down right pleasant always! They have worked a lot on my truck and now even my horse trailer. As a woman I can't express how relieving it is to have a garage I can relay on and know they are never dishonest. make sure you look up how much a part cost before they order and fix your vehicle. The part to fix my car was 60$-$100 range (looked it up after it was fixed ?) and i was charged $360, when they called to tell me how much it would be for part and labor they told me $480 total, showed up and it went up $200. A call would have been nice on the price change before fixing my car. Went there twice in a week for the same problem, it wasn’t fixed the first time. Most likely won’t be returning unfortunately.
I was a couple minutes from the Lee traffic circle in my truck when my tire suddenly went flat. Being a used 2014 Silverado, I hadn't yet realized the tools for the spare were missing. The timing was terrible as I was on my way to pick up my kids for my daughter's piano/viola recital. I called Alan and asked if they could help. I got my truck there and the mechanics quickly went to work. Not finding the tools, they were suddenly halfway to putting a spare on for me that they had in the shop. They then found a Chevy toolset and swapped my spare out in no time instead. Big thanks to Alan's Garage as I still made it to her recital on time! Thanks again guys!
My car got towed here after an accident. I have never had such rude service in my life. The man behind the counter was so rude and terse, it made me not want to do any of my repairs there. Unacceptable level of rudeness.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with! Coming from a business owner myself I would never greet my customers with such an attitude. After an accident and being stressed out the owner of this company made us feel a lot worse. He was on vacation and did not want to be bothered and was very rude and disrespectful for no reason.
Can't thank Alan and his crew enough. On a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend we blew a brake line on our way out of town for a 30 day RV vacation. They were already jammed but squeezed us in, fixed our brakes and got us on our way. We have had them work on our rig before, we will be back with our next job. (hopefully it won't be such a rush. Thank you Alan and Jim for taking care of us.
Pulled into Alan's w/o an appt. when my Ram 3500's steering wheel suddenly became cockeyed. Even though he doesn't do alignments on small trucks, he got right under the front end and quickly spotted a loose adjuster nut on the tie-rod (dangerous!) and tightened it securely. I had just had an alignment done at TriCity Dodge the month before.
