If you want rural, it’s a nice place to live. There are mostly old retired folks here. Some are nice many are crabby. Many are buying old lots and tearing down, building new. If you don’t like horses and goats probably not for you. Someone said we don’t have EV’s…lol yes we do and quite a few. Unfortunately drugs are still a minor problem but they keep to themselves, police make the rounds and they know what’s going on. I’d bet 99% of us are well armed, don't be stupid and try and break in, you’re going away by ambulance if you’re lucky
Rural TRE is the self help area of Nevada. We carry guns. We hunt and shoot things. We drive trucks. No home for EVs. Our roads are sometimes paved, sometimes not ...that's the way it is! keep moving or get off the road. Our rural speed limit is 55mh...drive like an idiot somewhere else. Our sky and mountains are beautiful. folks are generally nice BUT If you came here from THERE, leave your politics and attitude THERE, it won't be tolerated HERE.
When it rains it often floods and the roads get worse. If you live here you live in a GID, they do supply water and don't do much with roads. If your road sucks, find a guy with a tractor and fix it yourself because we don't care about road drama or road rage. And for God sake, DO NOT BLADE CLEAR NEVADAS PRECIOUS LAND. IT CREATES MORE WEEDS AND FLOODING.
If passing thru, there is NO GAS, NO HOTEL, GROCERY OR HOSPITAL.
Great little get away, so quiet beautiful lake to enjoy plus a 5 star steak house and plenty of gambling. Love this place! Also have a diner with glass 360 windows to look at the Lake. This is not a hotel its a lodge, if u want a gym and spa experience and all that go to Tahoe to one of the big casino's. This is truly a little gem! The people are fantastic and so friendly very good service. Nice place to relax eat good and gamble into the night
