Thomas with A-1 pulled me out of the toughest jam I've ever been in. They were the only tower that answered the phone on a Sunday, drove all the way out to Orevada, and Thomas was kind enough to drop me at my hotel before taking the car to the shop. Jorianth was a blessing. We needed a tow from NV 305 near Battle Mountain. He not only towed our vehicle but, the compassion that Jorianth has given was above and beyond. We had a hard time with the address being on the Highway but, The owner was also amazing to work with they made it happen. A- 1 Towing has top notch services that we recommend to anyone.

As a local business owner, I reached out to A-1 Towing with the goal of establishing a business-to-business contract — specifically to keep dollars circulating in our community and to build a reliable partnership. Unfortunately, the response I received was dismissive, unprofessional, and frankly, shocking.
When I asked about doing business, the gentleman on the phone told me, “Well, you can try, but we aren’t always available — this is our busy season.” When I asked for clarification, his only response was, “We’re busy.” He ultimately ended the conversation with, “I guess we don’t want to do business.”
This isn’t just poor communication — it’s a complete failure in customer service, professionalism, and basic business sense. If this individual represents ownership or management, it reflects terribly on the company. If he’s simply an employee, then it’s even worse that management allows someone so careless and unprofessional to be the first impression of their business.
As a business owner myself, I can say with certainty: in industries like towing, where reliability, professionalism, and community trust matter most, this kind of attitude is unacceptable. A-1 Towing had the chance to earn ongoing business and community support, but instead they made it abundantly clear they don’t value either.
I will be taking my business elsewhere, and I strongly encourage others to think twice before depending on a company that openly says they “don’t want to do business.”
Just want to say that A-1, and especially JJ, are absolutely awesome. We are from St. Louis and bought some property outside of Winnemuca. In an attempt to actually see the property we found ourselves on what was most likely a firebreak in the desert and not a trail rd. Before we knew it we were as stuck as can be and in an area with no real identifiers. A-1 contacted JJ, who then called us direct and came to our rescue with just a dropped pin on Google Maps. JJ was nothing but kind to a couple bonified boneheads who should have known better. Forever grateful JJ!!

Car broke down 14 miles outside Winnemucca. Needed a tow to Reno. They were short workers but made sure I still got a ride to Reno the next day. Really helpful and kind employees! Thanks especially to Anna Lee!
A1 Towing is the best!! Our pickup truck was broken down on the edge of town. I called A1 and within 15 minutes the driver had arrived, loaded our pickup and we were off to the shop. We could not have asked for any better service. The driver was very nice and professional. Thanks A1 for coming to our rescue!!

A1 did a great job. Quick response to the middle on where. They told 2 hours and it was two hours. Jeff the driver was great helping me find a shop that could do the repairs. A fare rate for the job.
Needed a big snap-on tool box to be moved. Was able to come with a rollback and loaded up with ease. Drove very careful with it on the rollback and unloaded it. Driver was very knowledgeable and experienced thank you for the great service.
On January 18th (Saturday) our truck was broke down in Winnemucca NV and we have requested tow from A1 Towing Winnemucca NV to Reno NV for bobtail and decided to leave our loaded trailer at A1 Towing’s place for which we have paid storage fee, while my drivers dropped loaded trailer at their place they were treated very badly with abusive language used by owner because drivers dropped trailer at wrong spot, instead of asking them to relocate the trailer at the correct place owner of the A1 Towing used very abusive language towards drivers and accused them not to be fluent in English.
My driver leave a review today about the bad behavior they have faced and I have got a call from A1 Towing saying that you guys have leave bad review so I asked drivers and they explained what happened other day, I have asked the person on the phone from A1 Towing about the incident and he said yes he used abusive language because driver did not follow the instructions & they were not fluent in English, I have told him you are not supposed to use abusive language and instead of saying sorry about his behavior he have threatened me by saying we are the only towing in this area and you pray your truck not break down here next time and he also said that Trump will fix the problem of the Non English speaking people soon.
Please be careful of racist & abusive people and try not to give your business to someone who do not respect their customers.
These people have no sense of speaking. They don't know how to talk to customers. He uses very foul language to talk to the customers. I will never give them work again.
We are so grateful for A-1 Towing! Our insurance company messed up by calling two different companies, giving them the wrong location, and cancelled multiple orders.
The manager of A-1 towing was very understanding and sent out a driver as soon as everything was confirmed. The driver was a very nice and understanding gentleman. In the end, we got into town safe all because of A-1 towing. THANK YOU GUYS!
Saved us late in the afternoon when our tire blew out on the highway just past Lovelock. They were friendly, understanding, and professional. Highly recommend you give them a call directly if you get stuck around Winnemucca.
My husband and I and my special needs son were on a camping trip in Ely, NV. We were towing our 5th wheel with our new truck and the truck broke down (another story!). We called A-1 Tow for a tow for our 5th wheel back to WMCA. He said he would check for a driver and the necessary equipment and call us back. He called right back and said he had a driver for Sat. (which was perfect) and gave us a reasonable estimate for the tow.
Saturday came and the driver, James, came on time! A big plus! He helped my husband get the 5th wheel hooked in and then made us very comfortable in the truck cab on the long trip home. I was worried my son would not do well (he ran when he saw the semi) but James was very kind and understanding and my son did great. I would recommend A-1 to anyone in a jam. They provided excellent service.
Good outfit. Responded quickly and effectively for a lowboy tow of my heavy truck camper. Thad was responsive and driver, James, was talented and courteous. Only downside was a loud cab on a windy day, making conversation difficult.
Fast response, good communication, quality gear, skilled operators...our rig rolled to a stop outside Winnenucca. A1 responded, got us off the freeway and to a hotel before hauling vehicle and us to Reno the next day. Not real fun, but problems were solved efficiently and effectively. JJ and crew are top notch.
I just want to say that Justin is an amazing and goes above and beyond. We were stuck in the middle of the night in nowhere and he came and rescued us out. He is definitely a saint, an angel. On a Sunday evening I phoned the number recommended to me by a gas station clerk in Winnemucca. A-1Auto Repair and Tow arrived at the gas station within 15 minutes, worked on my hood latch, and then replaced it with a used one in good working order from his yard. This is a family business. I was expecting to have to wait until Monday morning to have any work done. I didn't catch the name of the son who worked on my vehicle Sunday evening, but he very kindly did the repair right then for an amazingly friendly price. I highly recommend their service.
One of the best experiences I have had when times couldn't be more down. During a move to Washington with my pets, A-1 towing but specifically Austin saved my day. I hit a deer in the middle of no where between Nevada and Oregon and Austin could not be more awesome. He was more then patient with waiting for my ride so I can get my animals in a safe ride and help with my car getting it to the right spot. He kept me up to date and was amazing to talk to. I can't express how much I would recommend Austin from A-1. Truly a one of a kind person with a one of a kind experience
When I say Chad from A-1 Towing saved the day, I can’t emphasize enough how much his kind and efficient support meant to me and my family. After an unfortunate collision that left my rear driver’s side door misaligned from its hinge and unable to close, his savvy enabled a temporary solution that got us back on the road safely. This all happened just after his work day ended and he still came to help us.

These guys are ahhh-mazing! Austin & Dewayne came & picked up my truck & my 5th wheel when my truck broke down. Not only did they offer prompt service, they went out of their way & helped hook my RV back up to the truck when it was repaired. Austin answered my call after hours when the test drive went bad & took my truck back to the shop without hesitation. I sure wish these guys were in my neck of the woods!! Great service, great price, and a great guy!
When our motorhome blew a water pump around 8 pm Thurs before Memorial Day weekend 21 miles out of Winnemucca NV. we were desperate! Doug made a few calls that night with horrible wait times & rates. We waited until 6am & called A-1 Towing. They sent Jeff out to us in about an hour. He was extremely qualified to complete the task of hooking up the 40' motorhome which was attached to a 20' enclosed motorcycle trailer that we were pulling. He got us safely into Dave Schirrick's Repair in good time. AND cost much less than we were expecting. We highly recommend Jeff & A-1.Thanx dude! We were broken down in Oregon 10 miles from Nevada and AAA Oregon had us waiting 2 hours on the phone trying to send us 85 miles in the wrong direction to keep us in Oregon. I started calling tow services in Nevada and A1 was the only one who would tow our truck and trailer. Plus they were so helpful to fix out truck on Sunday when all the garages in town were closed and their prices were more than fair. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They really saved us when no one else would and got us back on the road the very next day instead of having to wait until Monday. A1 towing you guys are the best!!!!

I was on the side of the highway at 2am and Nevada Highway Patrol couldn’t help me and recommended A1 as their first choice. Chad picked up right away and sent Austin out to get me, who was great. I was in a hotel within an hour. I needed to be towed to Reno the next day and Chad picked me himself and we were on our way shortly thereafter. I am surprised and grateful by the promptness and service level I received. I was honestly expecting to be sleeping on the side on the road. This worked out as well as I could have hoped for. Highly recommend!
