Despite a mixup with booking.com, (wrong room type...) they were able to get me booked without any issues! The money was taken by booking.com so the hotel didn't have the ability to refund me, but Booking.com took care of it!

Scammers, overbooked by 4 rooms with booking.com, first day of hunting season, now they are refusing my refund. Stealing is stealing!!! We drove 56 miles each way to find accommodations for the night. Buyer beware, this business owner is a cheat.

Standard room. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Has a pool. Restaurant located next door. Cheaper to book online. Would stay again.

Very pleasant staff, clean rooms. Close to tracks so the trains could be heard. But that was ok. All in all pleasant stay.

Staff was friendly and efficient, room was clean. I consider it a better option than staying in North Platte, since it's on our way. I will stay here again.

Genavieve greeted me as soon as i walked in we didn't have a reservation she had rooms available. Our room was clean the bed was hard as a rock but we were exhausted the tv didn't work but we just wanted to sleep.

The microwave was dirty and they need to use a stronger cleaner for the shower. Around toilet was dirty also. Sheets were clean tho! Not many options in the area

Ok place - a bit run down. They did have coin-op laundry and I was on a cycling tour so that was appreciated. Breakfast was a bit sub-par. You can get a much better one (not free) at the Sinclair station down the road. My room was all the way down the hall by the other exit and it was locked when I tried to leave in the morning - probably some sort of fire-code violation that it can't be opened from the inside.

Was attending a funeral in Mullen and ended up booking here since the one motel in Mullen was booked up. It’s a decent motel with interior corridors (two floors, no elevator) - rooms are clean w/ fridge, microwave and 65” TV. Bathrooms could use updating and the bed was not the greatest so I didn’t sleep all that well. AC also cycled on and off despite selecting “constant fan.” Staff was really nice and the breakfast was decent. They have a couple of coin-operated washers and dryers near the lobby. There’s a large lot next door for truck parking and a restaurant, coffee shop and gas station all close by. Not sure if security is an issue but the front and back doors are open all hours. Normally train horns probably wouldn’t bother me but since I didn’t sleep great, they certainly didn’t help. I’ve stayed in the motel in Mullen which is also across the street from the same railroad tracks and never had an issue there. Keep this in mind if you’re a light sleeper. Maybe local officials could work with the FRA to establish a railroad quiet zone - they’ve been implemented in a lot of localities and basically eliminate routine train horn soundings for crossings as long as they meet certain safety standards. I’d stay here again - there aren’t a ton of choices in the region. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice and the rates are reasonable.

I agree with a lot of the other reviews. Very clean, rooms are clean and comfortable. We’re not traveling the highways this trip so we can actually slow down and “see” the country. Being on 2 there are no better alternatives unless you want do drive an hour farther. There’s no traffic on the road. I did hear one train in the middle of the night but it wasn’t very loud and didn’t bother me as I grew up next to the railroad. Breakfast is cereal, pastries, coffee , etc. My main knocks on this hotel are no coffee maker in the rooms. And there is no elevator. You have to carry everything up the stairs. “ my wife kills me with her luggage”. I would still stay here again. Nice, clean, comfortable and quiet. “Except for the occasional train”

Clean rooms, smells good and as for a many people there it was quiet except for the occasional train horn. Great price. Got there late there wasn’t any place to get food but they had a good breakfast

This place was a life saver! We pulled in and due to inclement weather there was no staff present. But they gave us a way to sign in and we were able to spend the night! We could hear the train but it wasn’t loud enough to keep us awake. Not a new place but it was clean and when the staff came in morning they were friendly and very helpful!

I reserved a room 24 hours ahead of time, and yet when I arrived at 11pm the following day no one was at the reception besides a piece of paper with "No Vacancy" written on it. Called and waited for 45 minutes but no one showed up. After driving for over 13 hours from Illinois and making a reservation 24 hours ahead of time, this is as poor of a service it can get. Also, beware that a train will pass every 15 minutes sounding horns 200 ft from the hotel.

I'm a woman traveling alone in a 20' Uhaul, towing my car. The Roadside Inn was the perfect place to stop! Super easy RV/truck parking. Restaurant next door, gas station 1/4 mile away (Had their homemade sub). Hotel breakfast was fresh. Staff and management is conscientious and thoughtful. Cozy, safe, clean. Great price. Highly recommend!

We stayed here last night and it was fabulous!! We asked for an upper floor room and we were so surprised when we opened the door to the jacuzzi suite!! It was so very clean and the guy working last night and the gal this morning were so pleasant!!! The breakfast was great! I had forgotten my blow dryer and they had one at the front desk!! We would highly recommend this place and if back in the area ever we would stay again! There’s a real good restaurant/bar basically in the parking lot too!! Excellent place in our book!! Thank you!!

Comfortable and clean hotel; stopped here on a trip with a large group. Bed was clean and comfortable. ||My only complaint; which is out of the hotels control is the train noise. The hotel is across the road from an extremely busy train line, trains sound their horns throughout the night which, if like me you're a light sleeper is frustrating. Other members of the party were not affected so I guess it depends on how well you sleep.

We stayed here for one night when we came to Thedford recently to meet family. It is clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. Continental breakfast is included. There is a good restaurant next door for lunch and dinner. Thedford is in the heart of the Sandhills, a beautiful area.

The entire Motel was in need of Cleaning, Mold and Urine Stains in the Bathroom. The Walls are thin and hallway noise is terrible. The Neighbors put a bath towel under their door due to the gap at the bottom and this could be seen from the hallway. If that was not bad enough trains roll thru blowing their horn about every 40 minutes all night. There are 2 types of business owners which Covid has defined quite well. Those that embrace a problem and those that use the problem as an excuse. Here they do not provide any Room service as once you are in the room they have you come to the front for anything you need and the Ice Machine was Blocked off, but you could BUY a small bag from the Desk. Stayed 1 night, June 2021

On our road trip from North Dakota to Houston, TX we weren't planning on stopping in Thetford but we were caught in a really bad thunderstorm. With no reservation, we were able to get a clean room at a great price. The front desk person was so nice and patient. After a good night's sleep, we started packing up to go. We did not realize we left our laptop charger until we had to use it in Houston. We called the front desk and it was taken to the lost and found! The manager went out of his way to mail it back to us. Because of his kindness and clean rooms, I would definitely recommend Roadway Inn.

The lady attending the place was rude. I checked in at noon, they told me the rooms weren’t clean yet. When we went back around 9 pm the power and water were out, and I was like it’s fine it happens, when I walked into the room it still hadn’t been cleaned and ready for me to stay! There were used towels on the floor, the bed wasn’t made, there were water bottles.

The check in was courteous. The road slept well. Beds were a little fir, but acceptable. There was ice. The shower was good. There was no breakfast at all, blamed on COVID. We a figuring out that places either go the extra mile to have a good breakfast in-spite of COVID or use COVID to save money on the breakfast. ||All in all, for a twon of 211 folks in a remote area this is a good option.

The clean room and friendly service started things off right. However, our bed's matress should have been replaced some time ago. The facility shows signs of age generally. The thin walls allowed considerable noise through for much of the night.

Significantly overpriced but they're the only choice in at least 60 miles in any direction. Motel is just average in the class of one-star buget properties with poor breakfast, bad coffee AND no in room coffee maker. Our AC quit in the night and we couldn't get it restarted.|Room was decently clean and OK comfortable but had a HUGE TV. And its next to a restaurant (which turned out to be a dissapointment). Overall acceptable if needed but not a destination

We were not informed of how often the train comes through. Although at checkout they told us ear plugs were available, we were not made aware of this at our checkin. The beds are hard and the wall paper is discolored due to cleaning solution... the refrigerator made loud noise all night long. The cost of the room did not help us rest any easier. When talking to front desk staff, her apathetic response was “it’s worse at my house”. We just wanted a good nights sleep

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and that includes about 100 in my life.It was clean and that was it. If not for that I would have cancelled and left but I was quite road weary and did not feel like traveling longer. There is a train that goes by right across the road all day and all night about every 1/2 hour blowing its whistle and honking it's horn extremely loud. Woke me up many times throughout the night. Also they say every room has an alarm clock. They must not have checked my room which had no alarm, no radio, no clock at all No coffee in room and breakfast was skimpy and the food that was supposed to be hot was at best warm and most of it cold. Also no wi-fi availability. If you like to be punished feel free to stay here. And all of this for $90 plus tax. Good luck.

Great place to rest and relax. The lady working took great care of me, even made me a pot of coffee. The room was great with very comfortable bed and very hot shower. Everything about the place was great and everything was perfect. This is one of those places that you just happened across and very happy I found it. See you guys next time I am around and thanks for a great stay.

It's a fine place to stay. It's clean and the staff is friendly. It's noisy, the trains blow their horns right across the highway about every half hour day and night. I could hear the person above me get up at 2:30am... his alarm, his footsteps, the sink turn on/off, the shower. He left at 4am both nights I stayed, lots of rail road personal stay at this hotel. I should've asked to be moved the first night that happened. ||The hotel is dated but not run down, no USB outlets or extra electrical outlets by the bedside. ||The hotel wasn't built to serve a continental breakfast. Lots of donuts, pastries, muffins, yogurt. Very little protein or healthy items. They do the best they can for the small lobby space. There isn't a restaurant in town but there is a grocery store west of the hotel and a truck stop (east) with some breakfast items. ||I would stay there again since this is the only hotel in the area. It's clean.

This is a newer hotel in a small town and is a bit over-priced. We were able to negotiate a bit of a discount and the room was very nice with great internet and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a selection of cold cereal, toast and rolls - would have been better with a couple of hot items, something we might have expected for the price we paid. We would probably drive up the road a little further the next time.

2 star review only because of cargo train running almost every hour through out the night and blowing it's horn the whole time! No sleeping here! It's a shame because this is a very nice, clean place to stay. Would not stay again. Not recommended for light sleepers!

I was so pleased with this motel! What a great find! It was very clean and the breakfast was fine. The staff helped accommodate our spur-of-the-moment kayak plans for the next day with a smile. They even allowed us a late check out so we could return to shower after kayaking. The restaurant next door was great! Wish there were more folks and motels like this one!
