Brett at BG&S transmissions did an excellent job of evaluating The problem with my transmission. I had a quick overview of the cost and the timeframe, and then the work was done, and timeframe was met. Came in at cost and on time. I wouldn’t take my car to anyone else in Lincoln or the surrounding area to have my transmission worked on!

They rebuilt the transmission on my 2004 F150. Truck ran great. Few days later an electrical problem with the dash lights and gauges popped up. I didn't know what was causing it. Asked them if they would be willing to take a look and double check all harnesses and wiring. Brett was happy to do it. Unfortunately I still have a gremlin to chase down, but at least I know what it isn't. Thanks.

BG&S did a fantastic job on my 2020 GMC Yukon XL. Being a terrible time of year (the week before Christmas) for a breakdown, Brett and his team did everything they could to make a fix happen.
A professional diagnosis in a super timely manner. They called and let me know all the details and answered all the questions I had before they dove into ordering parts and everything else. I had the transmission rebuilt and a new torque converter installed. From diagnosis to driving out of the shop in just a week's time.
Brett was knowledgeable about the ins and outs of OEM vs aftermarket parts and the reasons of why to use which ones where.

BG AND S DOES NOT FIX TRANSMISSIONS THEY WILL JUST TRY AND TRICK YOU INTO REPLACING THE WHOLE THING. I had a check engine light come on and it was due to a transmission issue so I took my truck to this shop and the mechanic drove it once and said that the transmission wasn't working correctly and needed to be replaced. The mechanic gave me a quote and told me when he could fit me in to the schedule. I was confused of how he could tell that it needed to be replaced without dropping the pan and looking inside. I took my truck to a different mechanic where they drove it and where able to diagnose the issue and then actually looked at the transmission and confirmed the diagnoses. One valve needed to be replaced!!! Everything else with the transmission looked fine. If I had trusted the mechanic at BG and S I would be spending almost 10 times the amount to fix my truck. The mechanic at BG and S didn't even know what was wrong in the transmission just that it wasn't working correctly. This is like calling an electrician because a light went out and them telling you that your whole house needs to be rewired when the only problem was that a light bulb was burned out. And yes that would fix your problem because they will replace your light bulb as well, but the rest isn't necessary.
Bought a vehicle from them about 2 weeks ago and the transmission just completely went out! Was told the check engine light was an O2 sensor by Russ himself when it was actually an oil pressure sensor. We have put $1500 in repairs and new problems keep popping up. We've now had the van for only 2 months! We DID purchase the van from bg&s. The only thing that says it wasn't bought from there is the paperwork. We were told to call bg&s when we saw the ad on Facebook and the owner of Bg&s is the person that sold it to us at the bg&s location in Lincoln. What a joke!!
Brett was VERY knowledgeable about what had happened to my son's transfer case. It had been rebuilt only 4 months ago at a I shop I was working at that was supposed to be reputable. Come to find out it was not put together correctly. Brett was great in showing me what had happened. We are VERY HAPPY that my sons truck has been fixed properly and it was done fast!! The office gal was very nice and stuck around so I could get there to pay the bill. All I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I've needed their services twice. Once for a complete rebuild of my truck transmission. The other was for my wife's car. When they did the car, they found nothing wrong and didn't even charge us for the time spent diagnosing the issue we brought to them. These are my "transmission guys" from now on.
I took my corvette here last year and they did a good job in a timely manner, 5 stars for that one. However recently I’ve called twice asking for a quote on rebuilding my transfer case, the lady on the phone both times took my information and gave me a very assuring “you’ll hear back from us” that ends up with me not getting called back ever. If you guys aren’t cut out for the job or are too busy just say that instead of lying to customers
I would like to take this time to personally thank Brett for taking the time to professionally diagnose my F350. I spoke to Brett about an issue I had with my transfer case and or rear differential. Brett took at my truck for a drive after which he told me it was an issue with the drive shaft. He then inspected the drive shaft to insure his diagnose was correct. He made a few recommendations for getting it fixed. I had spoke to a few other shops in the area requiring over $100.00 to look at it. Brett was able to get me in and out in a very timely fashion other shops wanted me to wait over a week to look at it. I did follow Brett recommendation and now my truck drives better then ever. Thanks Brett. It is great knowing there are still mechanic shops that will not just take you for all they can. Yes Brett easily could have agreed with me and told me it was my transfer case and rear differential charging me $$$$ but this shop had more integrity and honesty then most other shop I have used in the past. I will never go to any other shop for transmission related work.

I went to BG&S from Columbus to have Brett look at my transmission. He didn't find anything wrong with it that he could see. Ended up doing a transmission flush as it was needed. Was great to have a professional look things over to determine if there was a problem or not. I'd recommend BG&S for your transmission needs.
NEVER BUY YOUR CAR HERE. they sold me my first car , a month later my muffler fell off in the middle of the road. a month after that my breaks went out , and my engine light was on and blinking. i’ve spend more to fix the car then what i bought it for. worst car place ever. he would barely even answer questions about it! Should’ve been my first red flag. DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT!
I'm not impressed with this company. Had a transmission put in 60k miles ago, was sold on the fact that they rebuild these transmissions with upgraded parts. (Thinking it was going last us for awhile.) Transmission went out on us in Nashville tenn. Had to have it towed home. Found a bunch of metal in the pan. It was our family vehicle, didn't abuse it, but we can't afford to replace the transmission every 60k miles. I do not recommend. It was at the Lincoln shop, and under my significant others name. 04 GMC Yukon XL Denali. 231k miles
BG&S rebuilt the 4 sp OD automatic in my 1997 dodge ram van & it has performed flawless with no issues for years now. I can't even remember the last time I checked the fluid level as its been years! Robert Crispell Lincoln Nebraska.
This shop saved our trip. I cannot begin to explain how thankful we are to have found you. The owner is selfless and truly takes pride in his work. A real expert, who is honest and genuinely wants to help people. I won’t go into every detail; but suffice to say we were blessed to breakdown where we did. These guys did a great job on my wife's transmission they did knick an O ring on installation that caused a minor fluid leak but quickly fixed it without hesitation when we brought the vehicle back. These things happen and how a business reacts to situations like that say a lot. Honest, Fair pricing and friendly service.
Ross is an outstanding honest man. i had been having issues buying cars left and right i purchased one from him the man counted the money infront of me gave me back extra 20 that i put into pile told me what right is right i bought the car left the car had its problem unknown to both of us as he had me test drive car friday n was fine well i called him immediately (that night)when i had problems told me he would take care of it had it towed(saturday on his off time) monday came around we talked he said he would make it right and this man did He got me into something better all because i can trust him he told me there was one thing setting off a light in my car i put my reader on it and as he said it was so the man is honest his business is well worth it i will be buying vehicles only through Ross the customer service and moral is unmatched if you dont buy through him and you get a lemon that on you because im telling you now this man is legitimate please give him a shot (but leave me some vehicles lol)
Within the course of a month, both my wife's and my vehicles needed some serious help. My pickup received a new transmission and my wife's car had repairs made between her shifter and the transmission. We received great service, communications and early delivery. I would recommend this shop to anyone!!!
Took my truck in for what I thought was a transmission issue. Brett diagnosed the issue as an unrelated sensor replacement I could do myself. Brett didn't even charge for his diagnostic time! I would recommend BG&S without hesitation.
They were very helpful, kept in touch with me to let me know what was going on. Gave me a list of options, not just one thing and this is what you have to do. Had my truck back to me in less than a week, with a new transmission. Having just dealt with another transmission company in the last year ( monster transmission, which were horrible and did awful work, transmission didn't make it a year) I would recommend this company to anyone. They also kept my truck inside since it was a tool truck and I was worried about someone breaking into it. I give them a big thumbs up on costumer service, time frame on work, and quality of work. This is from a mechanic that travels the country and deals with alot of shops.

My regular mechanic told me the transmission was going and that I needed a new car since repairing a transmission was too expensive given the value of the car. I took the car to BG&S anyway, and they took it for a drive, diagnosed the problem and repaired the transmission. It was cheap, quick and sure beats a car payment! Thank you Brett!

My truck was towed in for a grinding and come to find out it was my transfer case that had been rebuilt 4 months prior by Otto performance and they had no clue on what they were doing.I’m happy to have my truck back and my transfer case rebuilt fast and ready for me to get back on the road they did amazing work and if I have problems later on I know I can trust there team to help get me back on the road
