We are residence of the area, so we have always used the Hordville Shop for our mechanic needs. It wasn’t until our latest experience that I found myself disappointed in the business.
We were quoted a dollar amount for what we needed fixed. Once we received our bill, I was shocked to see the amount we were being charged was nearly twice what we were told.
I called the owner for some clarification and to voice my frustrations.
I was met with no empathy and the attitude of “ I don’t know what to tell you”. That phrase was repeated multiple times, “I just don’t know what to tell you”. He then angrily reported, if this is how things are going to be, you need to find a new mechanic.
I was shocked, hurt and felt very naïve for having put trust into, not just the business, but the staff.
By the end of the convo, he reluctantly removed a portion of the overcharge. I am grateful that he discounted us some, as I realize he didn’t have to do that. In all fairness, he also sent me an apology text reporting that he was sorry for being so unprofessional.
