I’ve always had problems with the towing guys from this company. I currently have in transits and LIVE at my apartment I just moved to. They’d towed my car about 4 times since moving and I e had to pay a lot out of pocket which is $250 every single time. One of your guys said they’re actively looking for my car to tow because it’s a Kia and I have in transits? I also has a A1 permit sticker and that makes no sense. I work a full time job and imagine walking out to no car at 5am on the weekday. Every. Time.

No one likes to have their car towed! The driver that was trying to tow my vehicle from my apartment complex was very nice, he waited till I could come up with the 180.00 drop fee(which is why I am only giving 4 stars). I think that is outrageous expense especially since I am on disability and have a set income. Any way the kid was very courteous and nice and did explain everything to me and I do appreciate it. I will be talking to management of apartment complex because it should have been explained better from them about in transits. At least right now I can just park in my garage now till I can get my tags. Thank you to the driver for being patient!
Taylor came out to tow a vehicle. He was extremely polite and professional. He talked to us respectfully and explained everything. He made our night alot better. Thank you!
These are the times when you should be able to give negative stars! Their employees will confront you, while on the clock, if they hear you speaking negatively about them! They will repeatedly tell you they are an MMA fighter and then hop out the truck like he's Bud Crawford ready to go. THEN has his TWO girlfriends stop by and try to jump one person there. So unprofessional, and dangerous! I would not trust them with my worst enemies car! Stay far away! And Charlie will deflect, and defend his behavior

Per Municipal Code §20-163, anyone towing away a motor vehicle shall not charge more than the following for a non-consensual tow and storage: $150.00 per vehicle towing charge, a $25.00 per vehicle administrative fee, and a maximum of $15 per day storage fee.
A-1 predatorily tows cars and charges well over $200 that you must pay in cash, I wonder why they have you pay in cash I just watched them struggle to break into a car to release the e-brake in my apartment building’s lot… after they tried dragging it out twice with the parking brake on.
Edit since you guys decided to make something up: Was not my car as I stated before, it was my neighbor’s car. And they had a parking sticker on the car so you guys had to bring it back after you put all that work in to take it
This company works for my apartment company to tow vehicles without parking permits, parked in "no parking" spots etc. I called to report a vehicle parked in a no parking spot that was blocking me in and a vehicle with no permit. She didn't ask for any information besides the address and said they will come check it out. They didn't show up and the car was there for the entire night and the car is still there in the morning blocking me in clearly parked over the "no parking" sign on the ground. I suggested to my management to switch to a tow company that will actually tow illegally parked cars so people can get to work etc. This company couldn't come out within 12 hours....
These guys are the nicest ever. I was in an unfortunate position, but they treated my car so nicely, moved it down the street (out of the tow zone (which was poorly labeled I might add)), and didn’t charge me a dime when I called them to find out where to get it. I feel pretty lucky that A-1 was used!
the driver pulled a gun out on me and demand i paid him $185 to drop my car. i am a mother of 4 i was in tears telling him not to take my car and that i would move it, and thats what i got. all because i didnt have my permit sticker up. because i just bought the car.
Absolutely amazing. The mission of this company is admirable and they are super kind people. Instead of towing my car and costing me hundreds of dollars they just moved my car around the corner. So thankful for Charlie Anderson he is great
Car wouldn’t go into gear after I was done doing some shopping at a hardware store, called a shop and I was referred to this company. The driver showed up quickly, and noticed my car wasn’t actually in park when he was trying to hook up to it, he proceeded to find my problem and give me a temporary fix so I wouldn’t even need the tow. This is a situation where I could have been charged and taken advantage of very easily and I wasn’t. Honest people are still out there and I definitely appreciated the help this driver gave me.
Had a bit of a stressful moment when my car was about to be towed, but the driver showed a lot of compassion and worked with me instead of making the situation worse. I really appreciated the understanding and flexibility, it turned a tough night into a more manageable one. Thank you for the kindness and professionalism!

Over 30 cars were blocked in a paid parking lot for MORE THAN 4 AND A HALF HOURS after a theatre show at the Orpheum downtown. A car was illegally and deliberately parked blocking the entrance/exit and multiple calls were made to Auto 1 Towing since there was a sign in the lot that specified to call them, but they were incapable of providing their services. Many cars were stuck and inconvenienced for several hours because of their inability to address the situation.
Vehicle was accidently towed. The situation was made right and Charlie is a good man for doing the right thing. They knew it was all wheel drive and towed it on dollys the correct way also! Thanks again Charlie 8 apreciate you and your team!
My son locked his keys in his car. I called to have someone come out. Charlie texted me that he would arrive in about 30 minutes. He did and got it unlocked for us! Super nice guy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Charlie! We called early on a Sunday morning, and he was there within 15 minutes to help us. We were so grateful for his speedy response since we were moving and needed to get a start on our day. Can’t recommend Auto 1 enough :)
DO NOT CALL ANY OTHER TOW COMPANY!!! ONLY CALL AUTO 1 TOWING!!! Charlie not only talks you through your crisis, he keeps you informed and updated. He's very detail oriented and does not keep you questioning or guessing for answers. I called around 430pm to have my car towed to the shop. He was there in less than an hour. Very quick, very efficient. It was easy to communicate to him my needs and he followed through perfectly. Once he picked my car up, he took full control and it was great to have the stress off of my shoulders. They are miracle workers here!!! Great team! Great intents, I've used them for over 3 years and this is why!!! Even the office staff is great! You know that grimy/icky/questionable feeling you get sometimes when you pick up your car from a tow lot? YOU DON'T GET THAT HERE!!!! THANK YOU CHARLIE!!! YOU'RE AN ANGEL!!!

Charlie made sure to stay after hours to make sure that I got my fiance's car off the lot safely. He also let us use his tools to put a battery on my soon to be husbands stolen car that they recovered after 7 months of it being stolen. WAY TO GO FELLAS!!!! They went above and beyond to help my family get the car off the lot!!! I can't thank them enough!

Had a slightly negative experience today. Car was towed from a private lot (totally my fault). When I called last night the woman that answered seemed in a rush to get off the phone. I asked directly if there would be an extra fee for keeping it overnight as their lot was closed, and she told me "all the information you need will be in the text we send".
As they're cash only, I brought exact change for the amount it said in the text. When I got there, however, there was an extra night storage fee that they hadn't mentioned. I had to walk to an ATM since they don't have one. Not a big deal, it just seems unprofessional and dishonest when I directly asked if there would be a fee and they misled me.
Otherwise they were fast and cordial. Hopefully just a mistake made and not a typical buisness practice.
I had an amazing experience on the phone and in person with this company and its employees, they were kind and patient over the phone and in person as-well. They effectively proved to me that regardless of personal status and or profession that humanity is everything and thankfully it resides well within their morals. I’d like to personally shout out Charlie for his professionalism and commitment to kindness through out my personal experience.

Payment was made using a credit card which had to be read over the phone in the tow truck. Would much rather have done this through another method. Cash is another option though exact payment is required.
