Nice lady on the phone, I told her i had kids and didn't want to get out of the car when getting payed. She saw me drive up and ran out to me cash in hand. Awesome having people who are sympathetic to their customers situations. Also everyone I talked to and asked questions to was very friendly and helpful. Even the crane operator jumped out to guide me on what to do. Only thing I could say that would help this place is a big sign with instructions on where to weigh and the process behind that!
You might have to park on the street if there is more than one truck already waiting. Once you check in they will have you get on the scale and once you get the green light go to your assigned dock. They will let you know when your done loading. Once it's your turn, get on the scale. Wait for the green light then pull forward and go back in the office. They seem to make it known it's a woman's owned business and maybe that is why it's prolly the cleanest recycling place I've seen. The low stars is mainly for the lack of a restroom for drivers. To be fair I didn't ask if I could use it but the sign read no public restroom. I tend to believe what signs say. Over all, it's a good place to pick up .
Good clean yard. Fast no hassle process drop off. Didn't know this place existed til last week. 10x cleaner and better then any other yard around omaha. Been there 2x now and they had the money ready before I even walked in the door. Will definitly frequent this place.
On Tuesday March 12th I came in and spoke with Jennifer and another man after I recycled an entire engine and transmission that supposedly only weighed 258 lb. I then called back to speak to a supervisor and Jennifer answered the phone and said that she was the owner of the business. She then became very aggressive towards me when I told her they're wrong doing. Aluminum breakage is weighed up as aluminum breakage because it is not straight aluminum. That's why aluminum breakage has its own category, this is to ensure that it compensates for any other metals that might be in the aluminum. Jennifer then told me that I was a liar which is very unprofessional! I will never darken their door again and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone else. I was given cash for my steel and a check for the aluminum. They normally pay in cash but I guess since I called them out on their unprofessional behavior they decided to try to ruin my day by writing me a check instead. I will never return here and Jennifer is a very aggressive and unprofessional person.
Ok place, friendly staff, but you can get better pricing at the downtown recycling yards. Have lots of different rules of where to dump things at so make sure to check in. Overall a good place is you have a small amount and are looking for a few dollars.
I turned in some brass a battery and a alm. Rim I had I unloaded it and went to turn in my ticket and my id was a week expired ok fine but why wasn't I informed of needing a current id B4 I unloaded my scrap.
I took in 1000 lbs of stainless steel (restaurant hood) and they paid me for steel price. There may have been 100lbs of steel if that. My advice is to make sure you know what grade they are paying before unloading.
In the past few months I've needed to drop off a water heater and a dishwasher. Both times it was easy, FREE, and the yard is clean and organized. It definitely doesn't look like the usual scrap yard experience. Nice place and friendly staff!
Great place. I wanted to scrap my catalytic converter, people were very helpful, ended up giving me way more than I was expecting for it. Great business to work with
This place ripped me off. I took a catalytic converter in and they gave me $1.05! The guy took advantage of a female and told me that he could only give me "steel". Everyone I have talked to said they ripped me off! Will not go back there ever again!
Called them Wednesday about a car that I needed picked up that needed to go to the scrap yard. The gentleman on the phone was very polite. Gave me a quote of it's worth better then U Pull It . And told me picking it up wouldn't be any extra charge being I live in the Omaha/Bellevue area. The guy that picked it up was also polite, and did a great job loading the car. Everytime I go here I come out with nails or debris in my tires. The steel dump is at the very back of the facility. None of the fork lifts or equipment have magnets to pick up litter on the ground.
They kept their lot very clean which is good for tires. Prices may be a few cents less but it's one stop for all metals ferrous & non ferrous. Good location for me. Help is always friendly too.
I was able to make it to the yard today (Saturday) at 2:20. And even though the posted hours of operation state that they're open until 2:30, the guy working refused to conduct business with me. He said they close at 2:15... They ARE closed on Sundays, and i can't make it during the week due to work... Gee thanks for making me haul this around for the next week. Please work the hours posted or change them to accurately reflect when I'm no longer able to bring the material...
I will never go back they cheated me and stole parts that they claimed were "scrap". Just because I didnt know exactly what the items were bc I was taking them for my boyfriend when I called to talk to someone about it he laughed at me and hung up on me. I will NEVER EVER go back. Completely ridiculous and insulting.
I'm not gonna say that the place is actually horrible thing is they have sign that says 5 o'clock but they're eager to get home that they will Close the gate at 4:45 and if you were there at 4:50 they will not let you drop off anything. The funny thing is they give the worst prices in Omaha so you would think that they would want every customer they can get. This will be the 3rd time me coming and a my profession I would be coming pretty much everyday I literally would be in-and-out before 5 o'clock. So my suggestion to management is if you want to close at 4:45 then change your Google close time . On a positive note Pretty much all their staff are pretty friendly and helpful . Images seem to me that If you are running a business and have the opportunity to have a everyday customer That you would let him Drop off his copper Because in the long run word-of-mouth is everything
Clean yard, HONEST prices, & nice employees. Recommend going here for all your recycling needs. If you ever need an estimate on prices, you can always call. That way you have a better idea going in.
I have to apologize to Scrap Central for the bad review I posted on Wednesday. I posted it BEFOREHAND I thought to look up the sale price of steel cans. Upon doing that, I found that the price that Scrap Central gave me was accurate...dismal. But accurate. They were NOT cheating us. So...I'm sorry.
