Always been okay with this place but the last 2 trips were not good. Today for example they said the cast iron tub I took there was 80 lbs.
That thing weighed 200 lbs. if it weighed a once. Probably was closer to 250-300 lbs. What do you do though. Go someplace else I guess. I am there a lot so & was surprised by this. Still don’t like it.
I called January 22,2024 the person on the phone told me they would give me 650.00 for my car the tow truck driver hooked it up and gave my daughter 600.00 dollars and she said it’s supposed to be 650.00 and he said well I’m not giving you anymore and he wouldn’t give her a receipt so I immediately tried calling to let them know that he only gave us 600.00 and they wouldn’t answer and the voicemail is full so I couldn’t leave a message... Definitely would think twice before using this place definitely not the way you should do business..

They cheat u on prices we took over 105 of copper wire n #2 copper pipes n got 2.00 a lb when everywhere else is paying over 3.50 a lb on #2 they only paid us wire price and when we called down there the man who awnserd phone says he cant say his employees did that when we had left not more than 5 min ago this is our 2nd expierence with this place and both times been cheated out of money. No wonder u can get in and out quickly cuz nobody hardly goes there since they get cheated id never go back here again ill go to lakeside or cooters instead. They. Pay way more money than this place. Employees r rude and unproffessional.
I have been recycling the scrap metal from my business at Downtown Recycling for 20 years and they have always been kind and honest to me. They are the best recycler in Omaha to me. Over the past few years they have invested tens of thousands of dollars in paving the yard to make it better and more safe to the public. They treat me like a friend, and not just a customer.
