We were towing our RV and had trouble with our truck. They went out of there way to pick us (and our dogs) up and bring us to town even though they couldn't get a truck and mechanic out for a couple hours due to volume of calls that day. Once they were able to look at our truck, they were able to fix our minor issue quickly and get is back in the road. Everyone was nice and helpful.
I needed help this morning, a Sunday, and it took a while for him to get to me, but I understand it was about 6 A.M when I placed my call through OnStar. When the gentleman arrived he was very polite, very professional, very patient with me, and I was just so thankful for all those things. He got me to the next dealership closer to my home, about 50 miles away from Glasgow, and made sure I had a ride/somewhere to go because he didn't just want to abandon me. That was very much appreciated, he could have not cared at all and left me alone in a strange place. I didn't get his name but his truck said Kenee Rae on the back and I just want him and his company, his family and the world to know I am forever grateful for his help today. We had to stop here with our UHaul trailer to get the tires replaced. Not only was the customer service on the UHaul side awesome, the mechanics were able to replace both tires within an hour and send us on our way! Thanks to them, we didn't have a blowout on the road that would have caused considerable damage to the heirlooms we were transporting.
Requested a tow from 31 miles away for a Ford pickup that would not start, on a Saturday. They arrived in an hour, I was pleased with that. Thompson’s did not furnish any information regarding their fees or charges before towing..On Monday I dropped in to pay them the tow bill, and was handed an invoice for $611 dollars. SIX HUNDRED ELEVEN to tow a pickup 31 miles. Unreasonable, unfair, unexplainable come to mind. I was taken advantage of in this transaction, but it won’t happen again.
This company is so great. We broke down on the gravel road going into south rock creek and within 3 minutes of us calling they had a guy on his way to get us!! On a Sunday no less!! Then had our truck fixed before noon on Monday!! Would definitely recommend!!
I can't say enough good things about this company! Our family was traveling from North Dakota to Washington for a funeral, a deer came out of nowhere and hit our car and blew our radiator. We were an hour or so from Glasgow montana and Don came out and picked our entire family up! He took us to get some lunch in town as we hadn't eaten yet, and let us eat and wait for a rental car to inside the office. My husband, daughter, Sally dog, and I could not have been taken better care of! Such wonderful customer service! Don't hesitate to call them if you're in trouble!
These guys are fantastic!!! I would highly recommend them for services. They were so busy and the quickly fit us in to do a small weld job for our boat trailer and to run a diagnostic test on our truck that just went into limp mode. Friendly service and very understanding to our situation.
My son's car broke down just outside of Glasgow and Don took him into town and dropped him off at work and then towed his car back to Wolf Point! He was SO NICE and we are so grateful and thankful to him!
Josh - thank you from Mike and I! We knew he was so busy but he made time to come to us, get the trailer towable, let us follow him to garage and fixed the problem by days end with the help of others that were so kind and patient 💙 grateful for them!
My husband got stuck while ice fishing and Thompson & sons was the only place that would come out and get him out. The roads were so bad and it was so cold, if they hadn't helped, idk what we would have done. Thank you Soo much guys, You are life savers!!! Literally. God bless you!
Absolute best shop there is and not just for the area! I cannot tell you how many times they've gone out of their way to help when they absolutely did not have to, even show up on the weekend! I have backtracked 2.5hrs to go to THIS, shop from Williston which has plenty of shoptions!
Took a bracket off of a boat trailer to get cut off & welded back on, wanted to charge me $570 for what they said was a 4hr job I could literally get done in an hour at home. Rip off
Shaylon and the Thompson & Sons team rescued us in the middle of the night. AND they repaired our pickup quickly for a reasonable price! I highly recommend using them for towing, repair and any other automotive need you may have!
They were so professional. Picked us up on the side of the road. Hauled the motor home on a flatbed. Fixed it and got us back on the road. So thankful for them. Got to finish our vacation to Glacier National Park. Thank you.
Stranded 40 miles north of Glasgow Montana and called Thompson and Sons. They came out and got us on the road ASAP. I was extremely surprised and pleased by the bill (they could have really taken advantage of us,because of how desperate we were to get on the road). I would HIGHLY recommend Thompson and Sons!

We spend a lot of time on the road. Things break. It's always delightful to find a local, family-owned business to do our repair work.
Thompson & Sons went above and beyond to diagnose our problem and get us back on our way. Glassgow, MT and the diesel motoring public are lucky to have them! Shout out to Josh. This fine young man knows his stuff and is very nice. He does them proud.
Never again will we use Thompsons. $3852.89 is what we were charged for them to replace the oil pump that normally would have cost $600. They are ridiculously expensive. We were charged for parts that they replaced such as the water pump & we did not authorize to be changed out. Not to mention they had our truck for a solid month from 4/23/18 until 5/25/18. These people will rob you blind & I will never use them to work on any of my vehicles ever again & I certainly won't be making any referrals! This place sucks to say the least!
I would recommend this shop to anyone! I'm an Owner Operator from out of town and needed help. Josh was right on the spot and was more than fair with me. Awesome People!!
