Expensive, big worth it. Food was great and I can't enough praise for an outstanding staff. My son's 55th birthday and a waitress, obviously professionally trained, sang happy birthday in Italian and reached a high C at the end!!!!!

The absolute best place. Service is always excellent, I've never had a bad meal, the wine list & cocktails are top notch and the prime rib is 100% worth the drive. And then there's the view...

After many years of living in three forks and driving past the restaurant... we finally had an opportunity to enjoy a date night here. The drive, and view are stunning! Literally, from the first bite of my salad, to the Ribeye dinner, and a slice of cheese cake, the food was exceptional! Our server was busy, but still great. Also, the owner is truly, such a wonderful human. I know that personally, and it also shows, in the quality of the restaurant as a whole. We dont go out much and certainly don't spend much when we do, but this was WELL worth the drive and money. We'll be back!! Thank you Phil for such a delightful experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was wonderful! I'd say your definitely getting the quality your paying for. The creme brulee was certainly the best I've had, and the New York steak was cooked to perfection! Staff was wonderful as well. They were attentive and friendly even with how busy they were. Everyone was dressed in nice and clean clothing, but definitely more on the casual side. It fit the style of the restaurant quite nicely. Felt very "modern dinning meets Montana hospitality."

Great Food! This place has become one of my favorite go to places for a steak dinner.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner at Lahood! We had driven by it on the way to Lewis & Clark caverns many times and loved that it had a remote riverside location. After reading reviews we made a reservation to ensure we had a river view table. It did not disappoint! We watched deer cross the river and sunset was gorgeous with all the windows showcasing it. I had the strawberry basil daiquiri and it was one of the most flavorful cocktails I’ve had. Pork belly appetizer was delicious. Dinner was delicious. My only request is slightly more privacy between tables if possible. Otherwise we really enjoyed it!

Best steakhouse I have has the pleasure of visiting. Off the beaten path, excellent atmosphere and top notch service in a comfortable environment.

I’ve eaten a lot of hamburgers in my life and this is in the top 1%. So good. Flavorful. Cooked perfectly and absolutely THE best bun I’ve ever had. This hamburger is a knife and fork experience. My wife had the smoked brisket sandwich and it was every bit as delicious and expertly prepared and served. Our waiter, Bernie, was personable and prompt. Oh wait! Apple spice cake dessert was the perfect finish. The views. The location. The prices. All 5 ⭐️

I’ve been wanting to go here for years and it was worth the wait. Perfectly cooked top-quality steak, as you might expect, but the sides, the salads, the cocktails were also delicately seasoned and fresh and delicious. Nothing was ordinary. And the sunset over the river and the mountains was unforgettable.

The food is amazing and the service is awesome, I love the calamari or tenderloin tips with goat cheese as an appetizer, the food is always delicious and the service great ❤️

We came last year and had such a wonderful meal that when we decided to come back to Montana, we had to eat here again.

Me and my family sat at the tavern side of the restaurant and the waiter was so nice. He was checking on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was also really good. The ribeye was so good and their cheesy corn chowder was great. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

You WILL NEED reservations for river view, but they have 8 bar-height tables in the bar. Local beer taps but local spirits are lacking. You will be impressed with the wine selection. Come for the steaks, not seafood. Our crab was overcooked. Clean and bright, great service with big portions.

Amazing food highly recommended, we flew from California and this was the best place we dined in out of all the restaurants we visited in Montana! Everyone is super friendly and we even got free dessert from some Cali travellers we met at the restaurant. ?

I was told by a friend Lahood is ranked #2 in MT for their steaks, so I had to check it out. The food was amazing and I highly recommend you stopping in. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

Out of the ashes: THE GREAT PHOENIX ARISES! I left a five-star review two years ago! The drive alone is beautiful and peaceful. We go on the old road past the Lewis and Clark Caverns. The food is amazing, and so is the service . On Mother's Day, we had the 9oz tenderloin, cooked to perfection, with a loaded blue crab bearnaise sauce. It was devine! Our meal was a perfect combination of wonderful flavors! Great deck overlooking the river for drinks after our five-star meal! What a wonderful hidden gem!

Best steak in Bozeman metro. The drive alone is worth the trip (take rout via Louis and Clark caverns). Dining room is a bit sterile but bar has a good vibe.

New building is a lot nicer than the old one. Service, food, and atmosphere is the same, if not better. The Huckleberry Brisket Sandwich is amazing. The Fettuccine Alfredo and Chicken Fried Steak are also great choices.

My first review was 6 years ago! So this is updated since Phil bought the place, it burnt down and he rebuilt it! It's phenomenal! Beautiful, the food was outstanding. My husband was blown away with the quality and size of the crab! The tenderloin melted in your mouth! Our server, Pauly, suggested the Chipotle Butter... OMG! Great suggestion! The view, the atmosphere, the quality...all incredible! It was pricey, but a great date night! ?? Awesome quaint little Montana restaurant! Great food and friendly service. Awesome full bar as well!

Food and drink was excellent in both quality and selection. Service was polite helpful and friendly. Hungarian mushroom soup was outstanding. Beautiful surroundings with full bar and immaculate bathrooms. Not cheap but well worth it. We highly recommend and will be back for fine relaxation and dinner.

We spontaneously chose to try dinner here on our way back to Helenabon Sunday evening. WHAT A GREAT MENU!! And the quality was exceptional considering the affordable prices. Unique item menus and friendly service. The history behind the establishment is also quite interesting. We highly recommend it! Hubby had the huckleberry brisket with some amazing toppings and I got the goat cheese burger, also with amazing toppings.

Could not have been better. Adorable little restaurant/bar in the side of the mountain. Bartender/owner makes a mean old fashion. Steak was outstanding (ordered mine medium rare came out perfect). I would go out of my way to go there again.

Absolutely adorable little restaurant on the side of mountain, gorgeous views all around!!!! Super close to lewis and clark caverns camp grounds. The lady that served us was incredibly attentive, kind and hospitable despite her being the only server on the floor with nearly a room full of customers. She warned us even that she make take a bit longer then normal due to that fact but we never really noticed her absence or felt a lack of service. Food also tasted great, fresh and flavorful.
