Went there for the first time yesterday to look for parts for a project truck after a friend recommended I go there. Staff was friendly and helpful and the prices were good. I'll definitely be going back!
I called them to see if they had any of the vehicle I needed within the year range I needed. The guy on the phone says yes we have 5 maybe 6 of those in the yard. The next day I drove out and they had 0 of the vehicle I needed.
Only salvage yard in Montana that had the tire and wheel I needed for my sienna. Had to find it and take it off myself, but they had what I needed. The price was fair.
It's a good scrap yard. Great place to look for common parts for common cars. Prices are usually excellent. They will help you get used parts if they do not have them in stock.
Called and waited on hold 3 times for over 10mins each time. Each time someone answered I told them what I needed and they would say “hold on” then place me back on hold. The last time the person just hung up on me after I told him what I wanted. If this is how they treat customers I would advise just to move on to the next number you’re about to call.
Good if you need parts for older cars. Staff has always been nice to me and they have a good stock of cars. Was trying to make it a place I can get tires for all of my 8 cars (im still poor) but
The prices they keep quoting me for used tires I could instead get brand-new ones at Walmart for less or drive to Butte and get used tires for $40 at lisacs and they would be able to install it.
An improvement critique would be to have a standard price for everything. Better to sell sitting inventory in bulk than make a smaller gain on a single item because i'd love to not drive 1.5 hours to butte.
Heres my offer: $40 a tire- I am 1 customer, i have 8 cars,thats 32 tires and with needing winter tires you are looking at 64 tires a year(not including spare tires and emergency replacements) that's a possible $2560+ earnings and 1 of my cars is a truck so id pay a bit more for its tires. Plus having a faster inventory turnover for tires is beneficial considering the giant sitting piles taking up valuable space and depreciating over time. Anything older than 2/3 years the safety would be questionable considering how they are not stored in the best manner to preserve the quality.

Very very rude....Drove by today and saw a truck I wanted to look at for a headache rack and bumper. Walked in to talk to someone about the truck. After a minute or so standing there I asked if I could talk to someone about the truck. The guy very rudely replied "the one your not supposed to be walking around". I responded "I'm sorry I didn't see a sign saying that I couldn't walk around those vehicles. Then he responded with "I should have a sign advertising where people should go on private property". At that point I wasn't going to put up with a person or company acting like that to me. As I was walking out I heard him yelling about he's tired of telling people this or that. I've always had the best interactions with AF&T but not today. So thanks for the help before but I won't recommend again until something gets done with the current customer service please let me know when professionals start working there so I can come back. Thank you.
I was traveling from out of state and broke down in Livingston, MT. I called AF&T for the part. They did not have what I needed. Zack looked up OTHER used parts suppliers and gave me their information. This company goes out of its way to help people. Gentlemen thank you for coming to work and helping people. Dont go to af and t. They are overpriced and unhelpful. they will not negotiate and there prices change weekly. Better to buy new or travel. Not worth the trip would give them 0 stars if I could

I would leave zero stars if I could. Just got off the phone with the sales manager zack and it's been a long time since anyone has been that rude to me. Talked to another guy there last week about getting a car picked up and he said he would have a tow truck there within an hr. Just called today and the sales manager told me it would take 10 -14 days. When I questioned what would take so long he told me that was the policy and became very rude. When I told him that I had another guy tell me last week that they would pick it up in an hour, he told me that was impossible then hung up on me. When I called back he refused to let me speak to his boss and hung up on me again. Don't let pieces of ahit run your business. Could have had a common car with lots of part on it for less than $100. Would have made them a lot of money. Too bad zack is a douchebag.
These people were very rude and were not friendly. They couldn’t care less about the business they are running and they aren’t people friendly. Won’t be back again
I have been coming here for years and they are top notch. Salvage yards get a bad name but these guys should not be lumped in with the others by any means.

Very combative staff. Not very helpful. The even THREATENED US WITH A GUN after apologizing for missing a restricted area sign. Not a safe place to bring your k8ds with you.
Knowledgeable staff and best pricing you'll find anywhere. From there, go a block down to Interwest tires for tire mount, repair and other vehicle maintenance needs
I have been treating terribly. They kept saying they would pick up my car, I canceled an important appointment, and they didn't show up when they said they would. They also said they would call me back, and they never did. I tried to be patient as long as possible, but they treated me like crap.
I asked for a part yesterday, and was told I was second in line behind a hood. A day and a half later, they still haven't pulled it. The gentleman I talked to (Nathan) was extremely rude, and would not stop talking over me on the phone until I had to shout at him to get him to listen to me. He then told me I should take my business elsewhere. If I had wanted to wait three days for my part, I could have gone to a salvage yard anywhere in the world and had it shipped to me.
I would love nothing more than to spend the $10,000 a month I spend with other yards locally, but until they stop treating their customers so poorly, AF&T will never get my business.
Every time I have dealt with anyone at AF&T, I have e been treated poorly. I would rather spend the money to buy new parts than deal with these people ever again.
Been on hold for 10 mins twice now. Obviously you don't understand business. I called Bozeman and got through immediately. All I want too know is how much scrap metal is going for lol. Wow, good job business man.
Forrest and Mike in the parts department were great to deal with. Very professional and completely honest. Great outfit. Full accountability, never an issue over money or quality.
I called in today looking for some car parts that are hard to find. Chase was very helpful and gave me advice for where I could find them. In addition to helping with the parts, he answered several questions relating to the best way to dispose/sell a vehicle that we no longer are using. I took one star away because not all of the people have been as helpful as Chase, I do, however, recommend this company!
I got to Montana with a broken heater in my car. Not good. The Honda dealership wanted $262.00 for a new fan motor, but AF&T got me one for $50.00. Nice!!!
