Definitely one of my favorite ski areas that I have visited! It’s a throwback to the way skiing should be. There’s great terrain for all levels and abilities and everyone is incredibly friendly.
Great "local" ski area. Drove down for a powder day and was not disappointed. Powder was up to my knees and occasionally up to my waist. For only having one lift the lines were fairly short. We skied most of the runs over the day. Only problem was the water was not potable at the time and the bathrooms were quite small.
Great Skiing for all levels, fun atmosphere, and great views. What I love most about Maverick is how I can customize my route with and finding little jumps and all the area where there is powder. It's great and friendly to both skiers and snowboarders. The staff is great and helpful, there is a grill and bar. Really cool area to make a weekend trip too. They do weddings, events and have reasonable prices.
One of the nicest places to ski in Montana. Lifts are not busy, beginner area is wide with a great tow line, and slopes are well groomed. Given the location and elevation - Maverick Mountain has some of the best powder in the area.
Well worth the drive no matter where you live. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
I love the small and challenging terrain of this place. From easy streets to boom double black in a flash! Great people work here! Always helpful and always fun!
Great little mountain at an unbeatable price! Don't let "only 1 lift" deter you - these runs are LONG and they all empty to that single spot which is really nice, especially for those on snowboards (less kicking!).
One of the top 5 ski hills I've ever been to and I've been to a lot of ski resorts. With just one lift so much terrain is available. It's got nice long blue cruisers, black diamond steeps, glades and ungroomed runs plus plenty of laid back greens. Great food in the cafeteria. Great staff. Great price for a ticket. Family owned. Cannot say enough good things about Maverick. Can't wait to return.
Fun little hill and the price is right! Only one lift and depending on the weather it might not get good until January or February but still lots of fun.
Love this place! Cheap tickets, small crowds, cheap rentals. Makes it really easy for people to just show up! The restaurant/bar has great food and live music on particular days. The proximity to Elkhorn Hotsprings is an added bonus.
The instructor was a great help with this being my first time in years. There is a plethora of trails ranging from easy to expert. Wonderful staff and beautiful views.
Not the biggest hill, but AWESOME, The most relaxed slope I have ever visited great lift ticket prices, great food, small but pleasant lodge with an awesome bar, and staff that truly care about guests and the mountain they maintain... I highly recommend a soak and a beer at Elkhorn Hot Springs after you're done on the mountain, its less than 10 minutes away!
Fantastic views, awesome people, great runs and tasty food! I could spend days here..... In fact, I think I will! Nothing beats a great day on these slopes and ending the day at the hot springs nearby!
OH MyGosh are you in for a treat. This mountain has so much to offer every skier all with that ol' homegrown zest. It was one of the first amalgamated runs in the US. It's got what it takes and the folks are fantabulous
