Amazing!! The owners are super nice and make you feel like family . My fiance and I stayed in a cabin where the front porch looks out to the lake. Josh and Carl were so hospitable and when we got back from dinner Carl brought some wood for our fire pit and set it up and lit it for us! The campground is so peaceful at night and during the day . We are definitely making this hidden gem our go to once a year . Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

We stayed in cabin #6 on a fall weekend and had a very nice stay. We used and enjoyed the nearby pool and wish it could be heated year round.

It was absolutely awesome!! Everyone was so helpful and kind. They kept the grass mowed and helped us with anything we needed. Loves the roomy showers and resteoom. And the pool was great. Very children friendly. So peaceful. Fishing, boat rentals, pool, water, electric, ice, pop machine. Loved it all. Especially the people there. Family is the best way to describe them. I felt very safe . Will be going back as soon as I can. --- Beverly Bollinger

Beautiful, Beautiful, beautiful. One of the best spots for a sunset! Cabin was nice, a bit small Of a shower but honestly are only complaint. Not only that, but we forget food and it's so far away from any stores, that the owner actually fed me and my family! They were great people and it's a beautiful stay, highly recommend!

It's a great campground. Lovely atmosphere. Nice in ground pool. Boat dock. Items such as kayaks etc for rent. Very very personable owners who strive to make their campers happy and comfortable.

Holliday Landing was the perfect location to visit several area state parks. It is also quiet, relaxing (no drama or partying drunks), and located on a beautiful lake. While I was there, a very large group of Herons were nesting directly across from the pier. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the manager, Scott. He greeted us and made us feel special, provided us with Wifi, and even saved us when we had a black tank malfunction (YES! the dreaded black tank!). There is a small camp store there in addition to a new store on the pier to pick up fishing gear and bait. The small campground, which has full hook-ups, was clean, well-kept, with plenty of spaces and trees -- and the price was right! I highly recommend Holliday Landing and plan to return soon.

Loved our 5 day trip there with family. We had Rv and cabin. The staff and owner was top notch and very friendly. They made our stay feel very welcoming and accommodated us on anything we needed. They sell bait for fishing. I would absolutely come back and plan to in the future!!!

Campground area very nice quiet and clean . owner also very nice. Shower house no hot water for the 5 days we were there. Noticed they did keep the shower house very clean. Marina is non-existent at this moment. So no boat rentals and not much fishing to be had near Campground. Giving the new owner some time to fix the services available and this place would get five stars.

Had a great time here! Kelly, the owner, and all his staff were wonderfully friendly and happy to accommodate. A group of us stayed for the eclipse, and all of us really enjoyed our stay. There are sites that are wide open with minimal tree coverage, as well as sites that have a more natural setting, such as more trees or being up against the water. The bath house is basic, but clean and well kept. There's also a lovely nature preserve within easy walking distance that makes for a perfect stroll. The location is more secluded, which is not only great for getting away from it all, but also for viewing the stars at night.

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax near the lake, you have found it here! The camp host was very attentive to us. Other campers were quiet and respectful, and the lake was beautiful. The place is clean, and the sites are very large and level with lots of space in between sites. Ice and firewood are on site. We will be visiting again.

My husband and I stayed at Holliday Landing over Father’s Day weekend. It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The sites are very spread out and it was so peaceful and quiet there. The place was well kept up. We can’t wait to go back!

My parents, their small dog, and I stayed in one of the cabins for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! We were there for some family events in Fredericktown and Marquand, so we weren't there much in the daytime. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the early mornings and evenings. It was so peaceful, even with it being Memorial Day weekend and pretty much booked up. It felt like home! The grounds and lake are beautiful! The owners were always working to keep the grounds and pool in great shape. They were friendly when you engaged with them, but never intrusive. I definitely hope to stay here again!

Loved this place! Very clean cabins. Beautiful views of the lake too. Karl was very friendly and made us feel at home. He even had a campfire going when we arrived. Can't wait to go back. Our son had a blast fishing off the docks too.

Carl was very helpful with everything . However , the rooms are incredibly outdated . The beds are hard as a rock . I almost fell off the toilet 2 times cuz it is not secured properly. Bring your own silverware and cooking pots and pans as the owner provided cookware needs to be thrown away . Very cheap pans that were burnt to crisp and the cheapest silverware I think ive ever seen in my life ( NO KNIVES , REALLY ! ). Overall I love the place and location . The pricing def. reflects the accommodations in the cabins . One of our cabins had no heat , thankfully my buddy had a small space heater .

This is an absolutely lovely park!! We were there In the off season - so, not a lot of activity at that time. But, we experienced enough of the offerings to plan to go back when the weather is warmer and there are more activities. The sites are spacious - with fire rings at each site. There’s a bait house, a fish cleaning station and docks just to sit on and enjoy. Beautiful location! Will be back!!

We just finished a three night stay at Holliday Landing. This was our first time visiting the park. It's a well maintained and clean park with clean shower house and hot water. Perfect for a young family or older couple looking for peace and quiet. Great service and friendly atmosphere displayed by the owner. Definitely recommended.

Holiday landing has become our place to stay for a relaxing weekend. The staff is awesome and they are always polite and willing to help. If you need some wood for your campfire, ice for your cooler or some worms for your hooks, just call or text the office and they will bring them to you in short order. The campsites are clean, spacious and level. It's a great place to bring your family and kids, lots of kids ride their bikes and scooters around the circle. They have a boat ramp and a covered marina with slips available. Smaller fishing docks with lighted walkways. If you forget your life jackets or fishing pols they have them available as well. There is gas on the water and a nice fish cleaning station. The shower house is spacious with men and women sides. There are cabins to rent and a nice swimming pool as well. They have full hook ups and the rest of the sites have water and electric. The dump station is small but neat and kept clean, everything you need is right there. You definitely won't be sorry for booking a weekend or a week or even a month with holiday landing!

This was our first experience at a campground in our travel trailer, and it was perfect. Our site was clean and level, and the grounds were nicely kept. The campground was quiet and felt secluded. The owners are friendly, helpful, and unintrusive. We did not have Verizon service at our campsite, but I was able to work using AT&T.

1st time here. Was messaging back & forth with owner. Quick response. Made reservation. On way here got a message the gentleman next to us hasn't packed up yet. If we got here before he left, they would put us in next site. We got here, was met at entrance. Owner led the way back to our spot. Apologized & asked if this spot was ok. It was fine. Gentleman on our spot apologized several times. It was fine. One of the owners brought us a stack of wood for the inconvenience. That was nice. Next day we went site seeing when we came back. Our power was off. Hubby flipped switch on pole went back on. Went off again several times. I sent message to owner. Carl was at our camper in about 3 minutes. Circuit breaker was replaced immediately. All was good. A hour later owner Carl showed up to make sure everything was ok. And offered us some warm brownies. Place is quite, nice & clean. Nice pool, boat dock & ramp., sites have plenty of room. Also has cabins. Carl & Josh bought the place a year ago. They are making it a real nice place . Give it a try.

Josh and Karl do an amazing job with this park. The grounds are well-kept and clean, and the service is top notch! Where else can you go that will deliver fire wood directly to your campsite with just a text message?! Though this campground is mostly for RV camping, they have some great tent camping sites as well. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away!

We had a great holiday weekend at Holiday Landing! First, the positives: located right on the water we enjoyed kayaking and fishing right from the dock. While our catch wasn’t the best, we were witness to some huge catfish coming in off jug lines set in the lake. The pool was clean, well kept and supplied with noodles and floats. We didn’t need a boat slip, but it was an option. There was some water issues impacting the bath house, but we have a camper with a shower/ toilet, so no issue. That being said it was obvious that they were doing all they could to keep facilities available for more rustic campers. Priced comparable to most state and public parks, you’ll be surprised by the low prices of extras like wood, honeypot, or kayaks. Not only low prices, but most things are delivered right to your site. Thanks Josh and Karl, we’ll see you again soon.

I’ve stayed at Holliday Landing before. Boy it has changed for the better. Everything was clean, firewood and minows and bait. They assisted me putting in my boat. |Went fishing and relaxed by the fire. Planning on going back in November to go Crappie fishing. Can’t wait new owners are great.

We had to book a last minute campground to stop and sleep at on our road trip from Texas to Michigan. We searched for clean campgrounds near a body of water and found hardly any in the direction we were headed. Further searching led us to Holliday Landing. I called them around 7pm (after most campgrounds are already closed) to ask about availability. The person on the other line (Josh) couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.||||We locked down a spot for the night and arrived around 10.30pm... Josh had sent me a message about an hour before our arrival saying they had taken the liberty of starting our campfire for us... wow! Once we arrived, we were greeted by Josh's dad, Carl, who gave us a friendly welcome and brought us a bag of ice. He pointed out the shower houses/bathrooms as well as the swimming pool.||||We had planned to leave early the next morning to get back on the road, but we couldn't resist staying at the site a bit longer to enjoy it in the day time. Carl kindly offered to let us borrow some of their fishing rods and kayaks.||||If you're a remote worker and need internet... I had almost full service bars on T-Mobile (AT&T and Verizon work as well). If your cell service does not work at the campground then don't hesitate to ask about wifi — the owners were very kind to let me use their hotspot. On our way out, Carl gave us some homemade soap bars made from goats milk, which keeps the bugs off. This was definitely the cherry on top!||||Overall, this was a very pleasant experience and we are so glad we decided to stay at Holliday Landing. We will definitely go back to stay next time we are in the area and would highly recommend it to anyone else!

My mother and I went on short trip for genealogy and to just get away. The cabins are old but clean, and have everything you need. It was so nice and peaceful here and we really enjoyed it. The owners were friendly and accommodating. I hope to come back soon!

I stayed in one of the cabins and was very pleased. It was clean had more amenities then I was used to with cabins. The staff was friendly and helpful. This was my first time here and from the word on the street is the new owners are making several improvements. I’m looking forward to swinging back down here with my family. It is quiet, privet and you can Taylor your stay to your wants and needs. They can deliver wood, shoot even start the fire for you if you’d like. If you don’t want to talk to a soul you have that option. I’ve stayed at several different resort/campgrounds but there is just something about this one that felt special. I’m already to head and see the improvements that the new owners make to this place. One last thing. the fact that they have fuel and beer on site is really convenient. No more hauling fuel cans for the boat. My only regret is I didn’t stay an extra day or 2. The lake is massive with lots to explore. I would have like to have stayed for one more full day and spent that time on the lake, or sitting by the fire with no plans.

Had a great time during our stay for a company camping trip with staff and consumers. Stayed in a cabin which provided all my needs, comfortable beds, a kitchen area with cooking equipment, sink, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom had a shower, although a tad small, sink, toilet and closet. Towels and toilet paper are included. A table and chairs and tv are included in the cabin. I do suggest that the management do a complete cleaning every few months as it could use a good dusting and scrubbing in areas, but the cleanliness was by far better than some motels I have been to. I look forward to a future visit.

We met friends for a quiet retreat. We rented cabins 1&2. Cabins are old, in poor condition but CLEAN. Playground for the kids included exactly 4 swings. Pool is small, outdoor furniture was full of wasps. Owners are super nice and accommodating. ||Location on the lake is terrible for canoeing due to the distance from the actual lake, but great for motorized boats!

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago with my son, just a guys weekend, fishing and sitting around a campfire and having a few beers. I'm giving this place 3 stars only because the cabins need work, at least for my wife, daughter or daughter-in-law to stay there. Like I said it was a guys weekend. 8 or 9 hours on the water fishing and at least 6 hours sitting around the campfire. The owners are great people and you can see they are working hard to make this a friendly place to come and enjoy what Lake Wappapello has to offer. I would say if your not fussy about your sleeping arrangements, looking for a low cost place to stay and reasonable boat rental prices this is a place to consider. You might also want to bring some clean T-shirts and your best Deliverance costume.

The website said the cabin would sleep 4-6. We arrive to see that the "cabin" is a single 2 person room; 2 small beds and no couch. It was connected to another shack with a small shared deck. It was littered with beer bottles by the two guys in dirty t-shirts who appeared to be straight out of the movie Deliverance already occupying it. We obviously were mislead and couldn't possibly have stayed there. There were 5 of us! The owner would not return our $150 deposit for the "cabin" and boat. The place was a joke. If you have an RV I think you might be better off but those cabins need to be burned down.

We rented a cabin here. All cabins have 2 beds, full size refrigerator, small stove, microwave. It came fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pot holders, wash cloths, towels, etc. There is even each cabin's Weber charcoal grill available for use. The cabin was clean and quiet, with a nice view of the lake, and is at the end of a long road that dead ends at the lake. The owners were very accommodating, friendly and helpful during our stay, and it's reasonably priced! Remember to bring bath soap, shampoo, paper towels, Ziploc bags, charcoal and plenty of food and beer. If you drink wine, bring an opener too, although the owners were gracious enough to lend us theirs.
