Top notch scrap yard!! I had a large amount of BB copper and since I was driving a few hours away, I wanted to make sure they accepted that amount, offered BB ( some yards only go as high as #1), etc. Carter helped me to answer all my questions and even kept me posted with rates since copper was changing so often. When I pulled into the yard, Brian greeted me and Carter already told him so they were ready and he gave me the info. I pulled up, he pulled the box pallet over and weighted it to show me the before weight. Then him, Brian, amd a few other guys helped to unload and get the final weight. Very professional, courteous and dedicated. Took the ticket to the cashier for the check and was out in about 10 mins! The entire team sets the standard for what all yards should strive for! Amazing and definitely recommend and will go there again!
Decent prices in comparison to others close by, decent costumer service, and open on saturdays. Only complaint, which isnt their fault, is the access to the road their located on. Whoever thought that it was a good idea to reroute it the way they did should be fired.
Update - no change, still best scrap yard in the area in my opinion.
I go there at a convenience there's a couple other places I'd rather go scrap mart is not always as clean as quick as another place that I like to go but it is still my second choice

WOW! This place is amazing! I drove up with a disassembled trampoline in my trunk. They weighed my car on the way in, I unloaded into the pit and they weighed my car on the way out. I walked in and collected a bit of cash. Honestly I was just glad to have a place to recycle it, but they have quite an efficient system and friendly helpful staff. Friendly and helpful service as always. The line for the drive-thru was wrapped around the building, but through expedient service, the wait wasn't bad at all. It truly speaks to their commitment to the high level of customer service provided at this location to have so many customers wait in a line like that without a single vehicle leaving prior to having to cut the line off at closing time. This location gives me the best prices on scrap, non-ferrous metal that I have ever seen, always in my favor. There will always be a few mixed reviews, but I can assure you there must be more to those stories. This location is so far above and beyond any other scrap recycler I have used that I have no interest looking for better pricing elsewhere. It's rare that a business checks every single box, but they sure did, and I will be a lifetime repeat customer because of it!

We use this facility to keep metal out of landfills and haven't really paid attention to the amount of money paid out. I will say that both times I have taken large items to the Valley Park location, the staff has been extremely helpful directing me and offloading these items for me.
The people that own and work at this place are crooks. They change the Weight on you and Rob you if u have a decent amount of scrap. Both times I've went here because I was in a hurry they took advantage of me. They weigh it then hurry up and dump your copper or brass in the tub with allyhe rest before they even tell you what there willing to pay and even if you wanted to turn it down it'll be too late cause they dumped it in there containers. This to me is a complete lack of not only respect but basic human integrity. I will be filing a complaint with the consumer right department as well as the better buisness bureau. I have pictures of the solid copper plates and 2inch copper line, 30 pounds of copper they stole from me yesterday. My attorney will also be getting involved. If you take the time to put the work it takes to scrap then u know the payoff should be right. This place is the worse type of people u will ever come across.
My husband and his friend just took a big load in and it was 300 pounds and just got 140 for it, they ripped them off and they said they fix it when they went back to the office they still didt make it rite! Don't take ur shit here they will not give u the rite amount of what they owe u!! They will never go there again!
For the love of ur money don't take your scrap to the pevely location. I have gone there numerous times only to be scammed out of my scrap. They will try and tell you what you have isn't what you think it is to lower the price to unsuspecting customers. The valley park location is always on point, but to have such a drastic difference in service between stores in absurd. Just go somewhere else.
Have used them several times and am always happy with the service and staff! UPDATE NOVEMBER 7, 2024. Website states the business is open till 445 pm. arrived at 130pm, went to check in and the employee stated they were closed until Monday, even though there were employees all over the building and lot.
UPDATE 12/23/2024 It was very nice of you to respond to my review same issue still remains, if the website would have been updated I wouldn't have made the trip. Customers like me coming from a good distance rely on accurate website information. I live more than 40 miles from your location. Their is no way I could have known there was flooding.
Weights were off and items were added to the wrong category. I had 100lbs of 6061 that was recorded at 60 lbs. Just watch what they weigh and be sure it's under the correct category. I was given 1/3 the cost of my scrap. Luckily I don't rely on this as an income, if you do, don't go here.
This was a horrible experience with this place. She started off with an attitude with the chick in the office when I mentioned that I had never been there before and told her what I had. I was 1st told to go in one spot, to turn in my copper, and aluminum. That dude told me I had to do my sheet iron. When I was trying to get rid of sheet iron, I was told I could ONLY throw it in one spot, and I had to wait to do that. Even though there were others that were behind us that just got rid of their scrap load wherever. I was then rushed to get rid of what I had, and I couldn't even get rid of everything I had. It felt and seemed as if they couldn't wait to get us out of there, that we were an inconvenience to the workers there, because it was our 1st time there. I went to cash out, I was told I had to have a check due to my copper price, and because it was late. Well, I wouldn't have been that late, IF they were a little bit helpful, of any sort. My copper really wasn't that much. It was 51.xx$. If I could give negative stars, -5. I came here because of the positive reviews, and I can't fathom how any of those are actually true.
I think I might be done with this place. I’ve been taking scrap there for several years. It’s not really close to me but no scrap yard is. I’ve kept going because of the convenience of the drive thru and weighing processes. I’ve always been slightly skeptical of their operation though. No hard evidence to support this, just a gut feeling. Until my recent visit. Sold some insulated copper wire. No issues with that. Had a piece of tungsten (approx 1lb) with me and showed to the guys at the scale and asked for a price. They passed it around between them then called another guy over, I believe the boss. Took a grinder to it, put a magnet to it. Gentleman told me it’s stainless steel. I informed him I already knew what it was and have had it tested with a gun before and confirmed it is Wolfram and that it definitely is not stainless. After this he told one of the other guys something who then looked in the computer and told me that it’s not showing a price for tungsten but when I bring it in to sell it to them that they will give me a price. My side eye was strong but I politely thanked them and went on my way. My purpose for bringing in the one piece was to confirm a price. I fully intend to shop around and find the best price for the amount that I have. I won’t sell it to Scrap Mart if they don’t offer the best price and certainly not if they aren’t willing to offer a price at all up front. Why would they magically have a price available when I come back to sell everything I have? Very shady. My interaction with the gentleman who tried to tell me my tungsten is stainless steel left me feeling like there is 1 of 2 things going on here: either he doesn’t know his materials and therefore isn’t qualified to be doing what he’s doing, or he knew what I had but thought I didn’t and he could convince me to sell him tungsten at stainless steel price.
I am really sorry that I drove 30 minutes each way as a repeat customer to bring the strap from my restoration business here.
Many times I have dropped the fridge etc. off and not even went in to get paid because I’m all about supporting local businesses and I live right up the road.
This time however I got there six minutes before closing and dropped off a bunch of aluminum attach to motors, and spend some time going through this stuff with their employee so as not to shred stuff, that would be a higher value to them.
When we finished with the shredder, I was told sorry we’re closed and cannot take your copper (I had a few hundred lbs)
The employee attempted to roll off my cart full of copper into the shredder pile, and then said sorry, but we can’t accept it as a Copper because we’re closed.
Worse when I complained about it to the lady at checkout, she said well we close at 4:45 and that’s it so try come in earlier next time.
As a business owner, I would never cut off my service to someone in the middle of their order, and I as a customer and never expect to be half served because someone’s racing to get out the door and wants to push me out.
They definitely pushed me out and I would be ashamed to offer that kind of experience to anyone.
The first time I went I had a great experience. I went through the shed and dropped off my mixture of metal on 6/6 everything was separated and broken down on the receipt. It was a very easy process.
I went back today with a mixture of stainless steel and aluminum and was told to go through the scale and dump it in the pit. I let the gentleman know I had a mixture of metal and was told it was fine. Afterwards I went to the cashier and got my cash and receipt.
When I got home I compared receipts and was paid for steel sheet iron which is much less per pound than aluminum and stainless steel. I should’ve checked my receipt before I left but I assumed it was going to be separated like the first time. Now I think I know how the scale works and to make sure I get paid for the correct metal. Instructions for first timers would be helpful. Unfortunately, it was an expensive learning lesson.
My husband broke his arm and couldn’t run scrap- I had 3 trailer loads from our business and the guys in the yard were amazing! They helped me unload and back up the trailer! So nice and great customer service!
Easy to deal with and get your metal recycled. The gentleman working in the garage is very friendly and upbeat. He is a great with customers. Front counter is efficient and moves quickly. I recommend this business.
Was pretty disappointed in the customer service. I drove out of my way bc the Reviews were so good. I even called ahead of time told them I didn't have wire cutters to cut different metal off copper. But if it would be an issue I could get some and do it myself. The guy on the phone said "it's no problem they'll take care of you". When I drove through the garage one of the guys weighing it asked if I knew the tabs were on there and I said yes and explained that I called. He said "you was lied too, I ain't doin nothing for free". I politely smiled and said "that's no problem I can take the copper back and do it". He said they would adjust it I asked how much and he rudely told me not to get an attitude even though I didn't. The price they payed out for copper was nice and they were very fast but with that guys attitude I'm not sure I'll be back. The girl at the front desk was very nice too which is why I'm giving this place a 3.
Was a pleasant and quick experience got good prices and has a covered unloading area for nonferrous metals so I got to be out of the rain while sorting my metals.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of trash cans and other containers to dump and sort metal into since I had my stuff in trash bags.
Always give the best price around in this area so this is our go-to spot. Most of the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, especially a black guy who helps weigh out stuff in drop off area in driveway. I don’t know his name but he’s a huge reason I like to come here. Also, it’s very clean and organized compared to other scrap yards. And lastly, the girl at the front desk, makes my day every time I see her. She’s very nice and just makes you feel good. I love this spot. I’d highly recommend.
I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk to ask what time they closed today (Oct 23, 2021 at 12:27 PM). She told me that they closed in 3 minutes. I let her know that I would be there in 5, and she rudely interrupted me and said "aww no, we ain't waitn". How incredibly rude and unprofessional. She could have instead asked me to come back another day, but she instead decided to use a very sassy tone with me. I will NEVER do business with you now.
This is by far the best scrap yard I've ever been to. Let me rephrase that. This is the best store I've ever been to. First off, to get it out there, yes, I'm 13, and so this review is coming from a kid, and although I'm and kid and don't have very much money, I am still able to go there all the time to get whatever metal I'm needing for a project of mine. (Ex. lead, aluminum, etc.) Whether I'm selling, buying, or both, this is the ONLY place I would go. The employees are sooooo nice. I mean, just the other day I was there and only had my grandma's credit card, forgetting they only take cash when buying, and the guy who was ringing me up just let me have the aluminum I picked out. Or a couple months ago when I had taken a break from coming there to buy lead, the guy who was there remembered me and asked "Here to buy some more lead?" I said it once, and I'll say it again. BEST. SCRAP YARD. EVER! Also, if someone who works here sees this, show it to your manager, because you all deserve a raise.
My first visit was perfect! Employees were friendly, helpful & quick! Great price on cans, most I've seen around town. Definitely will be returning for future business!
First time I went I had excellent service. I had copper tubing with bare bright and the gentleman separated it and informed me that bare bright was worth more by itself. Ever since then I been going here for my copper, brass, and bare bright sales. Also great customer service.
