My husband drove all the way from Beaufort to Rolla Auto salvage. And he said the guy was a total jerk!!! I do not recommend this place. If I could give it zero Stars I totally would.
Their website says if they don't have the part they will try to find it. I called, guy says they don't have it. Didnt even offer to find one. Sounded like ticked off I called.
Called looking for a pillar post for a 2020 Aviator. Was told they don’t have anything like that. End of conversation. Advertising says they have access to 185 million parts. What a crock of crap.
I just called about a headlight for my car and as always (for years) the guy on the phone was professional, just as he is in person.
I think what others take as rude is just cut, dry and straight to the point. I'd rather a buisness be straightforward and honest with me than have an upbeat buisness lie to me just to take my money, and charge me triple of what Rolla Auto Salvage charges for parts.
This has always been my go to salvage yard since I was old enough to drive and I will always take my buisness here.
These guys are pretty much the worst.
I just needed to get rid of my broken car. I called Rolla Auto Salvage and we agreed on a price, then they said they'd give my number to their driver and he and I would work out a pickup time. I thought he meant same-day, but it grew late I called again to make sure they had my number correct. They did. "So, what are my chances of getting this dealt with today?"
"I don't know, man. The driver deals with that and we're SOOOO BUSY over here ALL THE TIME."
In all of my three phonecalls with Rolla Auto Salvage, they always made sure to let me know I was free to "try around elsewhere". Which to me means they are fully aware how awful they are.
So anyway, the next day I scheduled a pickup through Peddle with different company, even though it would take 4 days for them to get out to my area. It's a good thing I did, because to this day I still have not received a call from the driver at Rolla Auto Salvage.
I called about a part and I asked the rating and he said that they didn't do rating because one person's 5 may be anothers 10. Which was fine but when I asked about any scrapes, or rust he rudely told me that he doesn't have time for this and I can buy it from somewhere else. When someone else asked if they had the part they said they didn't have it. The first guy on the phone was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
VERY RUDE! Called to ask about a part that they showed to have in stock online. Could barely hear the guy and when I said I could barely hear him he told me that he didn't have time and he was too busy. Not professional at all.
I have been a professional mechanic my entire life, I deal with salvage yards all around southern Missouri and I liked how Rolla Auto salvage was straight to the point I was not calling them looking for a friend I was calling them looking for a transmission and I got a great transmission at a unbelievably affordable price thank you Rolla Auto salvage
Call to get a hatch for a Mountaineer the guy that answered the phone was friendly and they had one at an awesome price. We went today to get it and it was ready and waiting for us and was perfect. Thank you and we will see you for any future needs. Your new life long Customers!
The only reason I am giving this place a one is because there is no negative numbers on this rating. The owner is a the most unprofessional pos i have ever delt with. I called him 3 separate times about several parts, which he assured me he had. After I drove 160 miles to pick up the parts he tells me that its not worth his time to go get the parts. Save yourself the trouble and buy your parts someplace else!
I really did not appreciate the way in which he decided to talk to me on the phone. I have not encountered that rude of an experience in a while. I love to give people the benefit of the doubt but I truly feel that he abruptly ended our phone conversation. I asked if he had a specific type of tire and when he confirmed that he did I was wanting a little more elaboration on the condition of said tire. In an extremely impolite tone he replied to my question of, "About how much tread is left on this $20 tire?", with, "I don't have time for this s@#*(expletive)". I felt as though my question was reasonable enough considering that I had not yet seen the tire that seemed incredibly cheap and didn't know if it was worth my time to drive out of the way for it. When he hung up out of nowhere that was no help to me. I was not able to find another tire of the same size in any local shop around and it was quite the task to finally track it down. I wish I could have given him "0" stars but I was not able to. When I finally did get my tire replaced at a shop I was treated with respect and dignity. Quite a surprise after this encounter.
This is a very unprofessional business. I made a simple inquiry about price range and the owner took offense. Twenty seconds after I walked through the door I was told to shop elswhere and that he didn't "deal with that s#!t." I have never experienced such awful customer service. I do not recommend trying to buy parts from Rolla Auto Salvage.
This business is extremely unprofessional. I was told by the owner, Marty, that I was not worth doing business with even though they had the exact engine I was looking to pay cash for today. This, after only being on the phone with him for less than a minute. He told me to tell all of our friends not to come around there so that is what I'm doing. Find your part someplace else, guys.
I called in the morning and got a quote on two used wheels from Marty the owner for $65 a piece. When I called back later to ask if the wheels were in good shape, as they had a grade A rating, he told me I must be one of the"picky" people and he didn't want to do business with me and they would sell locally, which makes no sense when he had them sold at that moment. He was a very disgruntled individual and I would not recommend ANYONE do business with this them.
