I didn't stay in a room,I stayed in a tent.It was really cool and fun.I did the float trip,and it was awesome.I also got to have some ice cream.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem to unplug and reset, Dawt Mill Resort is basically the cheat code to relaxation. You can cool off by the river, claim your own little slice of earth to unwind, and soak up the history of this landmark that’s been standing long before Wi-Fi was even a thought. The gift shop isn’t just a place to browse trinkets, it’s like a time capsule with relics that make you feel like you stumbled into a mini museum. And the staff? Let’s just say they’ve mastered the art of making you feel like royalty on vacation. Ten out of ten, would trade chores at home for this any day.

Stopped by on a road trip...bought some ice cream that was excellent. Nice spot, but likely crazy busy in the summer.

Great outfitter for floating the Norfolk! Our family has been making the drive for years now. Would highly recommend! They make it effortless.

Great little resort built in 1897. Great people and decent canoes for an awesome float trip. Very cool little gift shop and bar. Sand bar right on the river. Basic campgrounds with a fire ring and picnic table. Showers need to be cleaned but good water pressure. Very popular float spot with around 500 other people on the water between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

We park here as our pickup location for floating the river. They don't allow public parking so we paid for a tent site. Definitely worth it.

Dawt mill is one of the best places to stay and float the North fork of the White river in Missouri. Gotta love it

Had a great time. Wish the water would have been lower for the bridge to be uncovered but can't do a thing about mother nature! My group had a blast. We were there during the beginning of the week and the place was a ghost town. No complaints.

I Can't comment on their lodging food or drink, since I didn't get a chance to try it, so my review is based on the (non) accessibility by boat. Their social media advertises that you can arrive by boat, especially now that the bridge is 3-4 foot underwater. True. When we got there, there was NO dock, or anything to tie up a boat, jet ski ECT. We were told to go to the bridge and tie up. Ummm....to what? Nothing there. This is clearly a canoe/ Kayak place. It's too bad that there isn't any bar/ dining on Norfolk lake, as that would bring lots of boaters in. So to my fellow boaters, even with the high water, forget this place, no where to moor your rig. Dawt mill looks like a cool place, but they shouldn't promote it as you can "arrive by boat". Not even a place to drop off your passenger(s).

If you never been there it's kinda confusing if you have to go to the lock box to get the key. But other than that it was a wonderful stay! Quite and comfortable! I would definitely stay again!

End of the season trip. But, as usual the river was fantastic. The bar was under-stocked and the staff didn't have much to do, except to tell the few people who were there what they couldn't do,

The room wasn't bad, but for the cost I at least expected a television. No such luck. Kind of bare bones. But so much better than camping in 100 degree weather. And while the room was comfortable, the restaurant was closed ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND! |Management needs to rethink their offerings...

This place is great! It’s a drive to get to, but it’s definitely a beautiful one! The restaurant, the bar, the camping and the floating are all worth while! Food at the restaurant is grown onsite and AMAZING! Get the cornbread if it’s not sold out! Chef Jess does a wonderful job with such a delicious and unique menu! Staff is super friendly and Liz at the restaurant and bar was fantastic! Ryan and the floating staff are super helpful! Highly recommend for a weekend!

Great spot right on the river. Nothing like putting in up stream then getting out at your spot. It was early in the season this time, but have a good restaurant/bar in season. Been coming here many years and will continue.

We went during the off season and it was wonderful. Peaceful and quiet. Only the sound of the flowing river. Beautiful location. So many amazing rocks! I would love to return when everything is up and running.

This review is far too late, but we had such an amazing time at their harvest dinner in October! Food was outstanding, the rooms were fantastic, and even though it was a rainy weekend, they made it a wonderful time. Can’t wait to come back!!

Ok. Just wow! We held my daughters wedding reception here and it was absolutely amazing! Beth, Sandra and Michael were the ultimate host. Every detail was perfect and they were such a pleasure to work with. Without exception, I can give this venue and their staff a 5 star rating! Thanks again guys for making her special day such a fabulous day to remember! Much love to you all from the brides very grateful father! See you soon! ❤️

Dawt's restaurant had a major fire several months ago. They have completely rebuilt the restaurant. Dining area overlooks the White River. Reservations are recommended. Despite being mid July, the resort was not busy, although the restaurant was steady.

Chef Brandy was the most awesome chef coming to our table to explain the flavors and everything I tasted was 5 star. Casey was wonderful as our server attentive yet not over bearing or always in our space perfect amount of service without intrusion. Ty all so much for an experience that I can't wait to repeat.

This is a great place to vacation. Friendly staff, clean grounds, and located beautifully on the Northfork River. They have transformed this place into a hidden gem. ONLY 1 NEGATIVE... the primitive camping bathroom and shower house is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I've been to Dawt Mill 3 times this year and it does not look like it's had been cleaned once. Hopefully they can put some focus and money into renovating these. This would be the only downfall if you like to camp.

Spent a rainy weekend with friends. The property is magical! Loved the covered porch on the Mill Suite and the fun outdoor bar. The food truck was great as well. We were not able to float due to the weather so we went thrifting and antiquing in Mt Home and found a ton of treasures.

We enjoyed our time here. Floating was great. My wife and I had forgotten our canoe chairs and the driver was super nice to drive us back to get them...For dinner, the Hearthside was fantastic with a beautiful view of the water, loved the food! As far as the cabin goes, it was nice. My main concern was not having a deadbolt lock on the doors. I locked my key in the cabin and was able to open the door with a credit card?..We decided to put a chair under the door handle at night since we are heavy sleepers. Also I might suggest access for guests to get into the property by the water or close to water after hours since nothing is open during the week. I love getting up early with a coffee by the water and my wife and I also love an adult beverage by the water in the evening. Yes we know we could have walked down the county road to the water but we were paying customers and felt we should have resort access....overall it was a nice stay and recommend?

What a wonderful experience. Starting with Beth who took our reservation only 2 months before our stay, who was really friendly and patient with us trying to figure out our rooms. She put up with a lot of re-quoting different room configurations and delays. Finally we settled and she put a group of 15 all together in one cozy little corner of the resort. Her and Adam (I believe) were fantastic while we were here as well, getting us canoes, kayaks, and rafts rented almost every morning. They even put up with us stampeding the office for ice cream. The rest of the staff (Thank you Ladies!) were just as friendly and accommodating. Anything we needed they were happy to help us with. They always had a great smile and a friendly hello for us not to mention the hard work they did to keep our rooms stocked and cleaned. They were a huge part of making our stay so enjoyable and I really cant thank them enough. From the property itself to the people that make it run day in and day out, I can't suggest Dawtmill enough to anyone reading this. All due to them our family of 2 generations created memories thst wont soon be forgotten. We all had very nice and clean cabins with plenty of AC, good hot showers, WiFi and some ATT cell signal. The river itself is a wonderful destination during the day and sure to inspire adventures in young and old. The bar has great food and drinks and everything on the property is very reasonably priced. We all really loved our time here and I suspect we will be back again. Thanks a bunch all! *edit* It is now 11 months since I left this review, and our entire crew will be back at Dawt Mill this month for another visit! None of this was platitudes, it was genuine and I meant every word of it.

Spending a week here in our trailer has been fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are 4 RV spots that are easier to get into than get out of but still very nice. There are plenty of services when it's busy, on the weekend. During the week we were here alone with limited staff, which was awesome since we wanted a quiet vacation with few distractions. The river is spring fed and nice and cold. We saw tons of fish but brought the wrong lures. Come prepared. There aren't any close stores. It's a good hour or so round trip to get groceries. We absolutely loved being away from the noise and craziness of the city. I would highly recommend this beautiful property for a quiet getaway. Also, they are pet friendly as long as you are a responsible pet owner. Our dogs loved meeting everyone and had fun playing with new friends we met at the river. The fish seemed to like more red and pink colors. The one red fly I had caught a fish on the first cast but the fish ended up ruining it and the rest of my lures were just not doing it.

This is a wonderful place to host a family reunion. The staff are all very friendly and call you by name. Our out-of-state relatives thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the resort and river. It is well worth the winding country roads to visit this destination. The rooms were clean and service was complete. The bar area was a great place to gather in the evening. Quite a place for being founded in 1897!!!!

I really appreciated the staff here, including the guys who take you to the launch and pack up your equipment when you arrive back. They were all very friendly. The bar made good drinks and the view from the landing was great. However, the facilities are very bad. Our rooms smelled musty and were perpetually damp due to the window AC units not removing moisture. There was hardly any hot water. The rooms were seriously outdated and falling apart. The floors were dirty, as were the bathrooms. For the price you pay to rent a room, I would expect a much better experience. Road side motels are nicer and a 1/4 of the cost. You also have no access to the water when the staff are not there. They chain off everything so don’t plan on doing any swimming or fishing early morning or late evening. If you are going here to camp, I think this would be a great place. If you are wanting a room, you may want to look elsewhere.

we were very disappointed. we showed up Friday to find our camping reservation had been cancelled. luckily they had one spot left. After talking to some other campers we found they had issues to. they did not get the sites they had reserved online. the response to this was well our website is outdated. we went for dinner that night to their restaurant and waited a long time for our meal to arrive. Three drinks later when our Ruben sandwiches arrive all 3 of them were burnt. Their were not many customers their for that to be an excuse. Saturday morning we went to have breakfast and waited 20 minutes to be seated finally decided to leave. while we were waiting we noticed customers getting their own coffee, silverware and condiments again their were not many customers their. I do have to say the float was beautiful. I would float that river again just not from Dawt Mill they are very disorganized their.
