I would give this place full marks if they expanded their hours. I drive over 20 miles to get there and will continue to do so because I believe in recycling, and they are genuinely nice folks. Just wish for a broader range of hours.
They are so friendly and they take the items from my car for me and I don't need to get out. That helps me a lot due to past surgery on my leg. I will use them before the one off hwy 30 in Byrnsmill.
We just threw away like 20 big bags we had to recycle, according to what they take of course- glass, aluminum, plastic containers. Such a shame, but now they're closed on Saturdays. They close so early thru-out the week we just can't make it. We finally got off early today (the only day they are open until 5pm), and they're closed. Knowing there is nowhere else to go in Jefferson County they should stay open later at least 2 days a week so people can actually make it. I guess we just can't recycle anymore.
Quick and friendly - always. They can take most household recycling, except styrofoam. There is always plenty of staff and they're willing to do all the work - just show them what you have for them. One caution - the hours are limited so check before you go. If you don't like throwing recycling in the landfill, this is your solution in the Hillsboro area.
