It was my first time. The guys told me where to go in there, back behind at the double doors. Then I just watched what was happening with the person in front of me. Then it was my turn and the guy told me what to do. Then the people who were in the building told me what else to do. It was neat.
Nicest and most helpful of the yards in Joplin.
I’d been to all the others over the last decade or so and settled on this one, might not always be the highest paying and seem smaller in scale but they are still competitive and the simplicity of getting unloaded yourself is great option and they are still quick with the equipment to get a trailer to unload.
Lot is kept swept free of debris except the busiest of times near the piles where people may sloppily unload themselves.
I have been to a lot of cmc scrap yard throughout the us, and this group of Employees has by far got to be the most disrespectful and rude of any that I’ve encountered at any one cmc recycling yard

Great customer service. Clean and professional. Wish you stayed open on Saturdays tho.... It's difficult to get to you before you close. As for MMR in Webb too. Otherwise, great place.
Always personable with a smile and they pay best. Also they are good about getting you in and out with a quick and efficiently managed work ethic. Just the place I would suggest any one with their scrapping needs. Ty Joplin cmc recycling you really do a great job .
I would not take any vehicles here, EVER! They cant tell who owns a vehicle, even when its clearly on the title, and on top of that some guy comes out royally ticked off and gives me a big speech on why I am wrong! Went to webb city and had way better service and no issues with title.
Great staff always friendly and great pricing. This is definitely the recycling place to sell your metal. Been going there since I was 18 and won't go anywhere else.
Me and my grandpa have been selling our scrap here since I was 8. They've never cheated us on money or gave us any issues. Recommend this place over any other local scap yards. The people are genuine and honest.
The employees are always friendly I never have any issues other than the wait time can be frustrating at times but understandable with how busy they get. They are the only place I recommend
Went down and took my cans, 4 bags of cans $2.00 wow. Its not worth it. They need a better system to go inside and get your money.parking is horrible. Very dissapointed.they brought me a square bin to put the cans in, and said to pour mine in and somebody elses cans was already in it. Very dissapointed.
Got ripped this time had 26 lbs of copper half was num 1 and I got halfway home before realizing it . Since when is bare shiny giant ground wire and clean never coated or soldered copper pipe num 2 ? From 16 to32 years old iv gone here but today I'm done ....guy also tried to not take my electric motors saying they were steel
Great place been using for years. First bad experience today. Brought in 1500 pounds on a trailer, alot of heavy stuff. Backed right by the grappler. Arranged everything before hand so would b easy to grapple out. Told at scale " oh yeah he will help you". Unloaded everything by hand while he used his phone. Ok no problem let it go. But as we were waiting to go in the bay for non Ferris lo and behold the next person after us that backed in he was unloading. Lighter stuff then ours. 101 degrees at the time. Like i said great place and will b back. Only gripe in 5 plus years. Dang phones.
Great services and fair prices yall really need to open your restroom back up or provide additional facilities for customers to use the bathroom since there can be quite a wait sometimes.
I have been going to CMC for many years. Never had any issues with them. They have always been fair and friendly. Great place!! Beats all the other scrap yards by far.
I am always treated with respect. Today I want to brag on Kim. I took a load of what I thought to be just "scrap" she caught that I had some copper and explained to me how to keep it separate. I find this place to be so honest. They will keep my buisness!
Very neatly organized recycling center. Busy but not chaotic For what seems to be a small space to work in. I say the staff as a whole utilize their surroundings very well and in a very safe manner . My hat is off to everyone that works there! S.w.p.
First time there,i live in Ft Scott Ks a friend told me about about CMC he said its worth going the extra miles if you have enough to sell.Have not been to happy with Advatage Metals in FtScott ,there is one person who works there who doesnt seem to like people to bring metal in .I like to burn off the copper wire you cant do that in Ks .CMC pays more for copper than anywhere i can see.Its always fun and exciting to go to a new place and find out they are fair minded,decent people working there.I recommend this scrap yd to everyone.If you have copper wire make sure its doesnt have any insulation left on it because you cant clean it inside the building
Tell the guy on the forklift that him dinking around is what’s crowding up the line, not me, the customer. Do your job already so people who have just a few items and a life to live can move along. Folks best take their business elsewhere.
Very friendly and knowledgeable people they did their job very well and they were courteous and they were very nice about helping me they all deserve a attaboy they did a good job and was very pleasant to be at that place I would go back and recommended
Friendly customer service here. If this is your first time selling scrap metal I would reccomend you come here. They make the process super easy and explain it as you go.
Great staff! Extremely helpful and courteous. Very safe and efficient operation. Probably the cleanest recycling place you'll ever see. If your in the Joplin area, this should be the spot to bring your "scrap" to.
Used cmc exclusively untill one of there guys became very unperfeshional then I became same and they band me for it. They do however have the best prices in Joplin. Still don't make the crew any better.
Friendly staff easy to work with. It takes time to weigh in. Then unload. Then reweigh empty. Now your ready to be payed. So don't be in a hurry. Have another big load. Waiting on them to open. Staff are Friendly and easy to work with. Easy to trust that your getting a fair price.
I have been here a handful of times and staff seems extremely friendly and helpful. Payouts were great and location is easy to get to. You will be surprised at the money you can get from scrap metal around your house. Old pool ladders, trampolene pieces and soda cans add up! Thank you CMC! Just left there had 22lbs of cans got a hair over 13 bucks. If I'd have gone to USA metals woulda been lucky to get 4 bucks. Y'all have my business from now on.
Been going here for a long while and last week I had a catalytic converter and the man was an ass. He said that's not a catalytic converter it's a muffler after arguing for a while I let him have his way. Kinda funny I unloaded my own scrap which was heavy and the guy that waited on me was out helping someone unload there truck. This man probably mid fifties with a long gray beard.
