I bought a battery from a different O'Reilly in March of last year. I went to this O'Reilly because it was the closest. I walked in told them that I have a bad battery and if I can exchange it any O'Reillys and I was told yes. They asked were it was and I explained it was in the truck. He said I needed to bring it in so it could be tested. When I went there I was expecting for them to go out to the truck and test it. When I purchased the battery it was installed the O'Reilly I purchased it at. That is the reason I purchased it there. The guy handed me tools to go get it. ...so I did. I put it on the counter and he look like I was interrupting his day. He took it back and was helping other people, after about 5 mins I asked how long does it take to test a battery. His responce was 2 hours. So not only was he rude, he was going to have me stand around for 2 hours without telling. I went and told my guy in the truck (he has AML so is unable to help) what was happening and he had to go in the store and asked what they are doing. So instead of checking the battery first to see if the voltage was right then charging it. They just had me pull it out and put it on charger. After all this I was told to take it to the store I purchased it from. They had 5 people working and was not busy! I will never go to this O'Reillys store again! The O'Reillys I originally purchased the battery is on Parvin Rd. The Parvin store is the one you want to go. They did exactly what they should have done. Went out to the truck tested the battery and replaced it within 10 mins! I should have know not to to go to the hood store.

Nice place. I had to go in and get screws for my license plate and the young man was very helpful. I asked if he could put them on for me and he did without a blink of an eye. I tried to give him a little "love offering" to show my gratitude, but he wouldn't except it. Very polite young man.

Israel helped me get the best deal while shopping for parts for my oil change!!! Got the oil filter and oil for $35 and some change!!!! That’s 5 dollars off!!! Best O’reillys trip ever I think I even made a friend

I would advise not to come here at all. Cost gave me a bad battery that was an exchange battery that was already 100% dead and bad and didn’t even last two months and tells me that I can’t get another new battery and I’m driving a brand new vehicle. Smh don’t go here manger has no clue what he’s doing ill take my business elsewhere. Remember this is a 200$ battery smh I’ll be going elsewhere. Beware scam dead battery’s selling as new but bad battery don’t work.

I always love going to O'Reilly Auto Parts. The people are friendly and helpful even when I can only make a noise that my car is making and trying to figure out how to fix it. Lots of good times there! ❤️

I will never buy a party from this company again. Have 2 employees standing around Friday. While I had customers in my waiting room waiting. Check monday morning on some other parts ordered at 130 friday afternoon. Havent even been touched. The excuse I hear is corporate has screwed them over.

This place, on countless occasions, has saved me from having to go get gouged by a dealership or body shop. Kevin knows his stuff and always points me in the right direction every time I stop in with car troubles. My most recent issue was quoted at a body shop for close to $2,000 but I went to see Kevin at O'Reilly and he was able to hook my car up and diagnose the exact problem and I was able to fix my car on my own saving me tons of money and time. I cannot thank these guys enough here. Even when Kevin is out, he employs great staff that get my wife and I taken care of as well. Thank you guys for being so great to my family! I would recommend these guys to anyone.

Excellent service supported by experienced staff. Well laid out store making finding what you want easy to do. Quick in and out but a great place to shelf shop as well. Also has goodies for the little hot rodders so they don't feel left out.

From years of experience (I'm 70), O'Reilly is your best bet for items the others don't stock. My alternator went bad, they had brushes. Lost key to riding lawnmower, they had them! Starter quit at a rest area in Southern Iowa, they drove 20 miles to bring me a new one. I've had good luck with them.

Staff was friendly and very informative! The store has all your automotive needs. And if what your looking for isn't in stock, with just a few clicks of the mouse or a short phone call, they'll have your part delivered!

The worst O'Reilly's in the greater kc area. The most uneducated sales associates out of any O'Reilly's I have ever been to... this has to be the worst one. If you were to order windshield wipers.... they would ask you two or four-wheel drive? I'll go to any AutoZone proudly before I ever step back in that store....I've already spent over $5K at auto zone in the last 2 weeks as a result of this...you shouldn't treat paying customers so poorly ....

Sold me a new battery and paid me for the old one. But I had to pay a stranger to switch it out. When I asked if they actually switch out car batteries for free like it says on their website they said they only do it “sometimes.”

I love O'Reilly's for years there's a couple of new Auto parts places in town sometimes you might save a nickel but all around O'Reilly seems to be the most informative and helpful I like the people at 23rd Street arise Independence the most

Well their check engine light diagnostics are pretty lack luster. They told me it was a problem with my engine... Which the light kinda already told me. But I did get a pretty great emergency hammer which the guy helping me didn't know they sold when I asked him. (They're in the front under the counter) I found it before he figured out if they sold them or not.

The counter person went out of his way to find a affordable sale item that was not advertised making it possible for me to stay safe. He also volunteered to install the part that I purchased. Being disabled and a senior citizen I really appreciated the service he provided.

These guys are lazy. Needed a bolt that got misplaced while changing starter Wouldn't try to look it up to see if they had it or could order it . Not the first time being disappointed with this store but it will be the last

I went to buy a battery terminal adapter and they were out of them. However since I was in a pinch for time and it was almost time to close I opted to buy the correct battery for the car. The lady helping me got me a $40 discount as the cheapest battery was also out of stock. This was far from the $5 I intended to spend but was very helpful in terms of getting the car on the road immediately. I averaged out five stars for service with one star for product availability.

Yesterday I took a battery in to get tested. Car wouldn’t turn over yet the battery wasn’t very old. I just needed to see if it was dead or bad. I dropped off the battery and was told to come back in an hour. When I came back I was told the battery was bad, did I want a price on the new one? I declined and here’s why: the battery was three months old and clearly still under warranty. I also made sure to put a little slick of grease on the positive battery post but somehow the grease was not disturbed. I was curious how they could test the battery without touching the battery post so I took the battery down the street to where I bought it from and it charged right up, no problem. They literally didn’t even test my battery and were willing to sell me a brand new one. As someone who bought the vast majority of my car parts from O’Reilly in the past, I think it’s time to change.

Store # 21 (SUGAR CREEK, MO) Manager Cole Stubbs took my order on 11/9/19 told me my parts would be in at 12:00 pm. I worked on my car for over two hours this morning removing my struts and sway bar links. I called at 12:00 pm to make sure my struts were in. Cole states he told me they would arrive on 11/12/19 not at noon today. I told him that's not what was stated in our original conversation and my front end was tore apart and needed these struts TODAY. I told him to look up what was available to correct his mistake. Cole then told me (Your not going to tell him how to do my job) I got a ride to the store to speak to him in person. As soon as I identified myself he told me to leave the store and he was canceling my order. I am a mother of three now without a car to transport myself to work or my kids anywhere. This is highly unacceptable. HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED ASAP........

Well O'Reilly's was okay it cost a fortune to get my parts and I had to drive around to three different stores because one had some parts one had another part and then the other one had the actual tool but the guy at the first store was pretty cool his name is Matt and the guys at the other store was pretty cool his name is Tyler and the kid at the one on 40 Highway didn't know what the hell he was doing or even if you had the part so that was fun and the gas driving all around and time involved I got everything that I needed just in time for the sun to go down and my day wasted.

They dont know how to treat a customer or give the right parts when you go back to get the right part that dont have Then they WILL NOT GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK SO YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE SO YOU CAN .THEN TELL YOU THEY CANT GIVE YOU THE CORE BACK NETHER so I when to auto zone told them what happened. Went to get oil and a filter for my wife's car. During the oil change at home I checked her car's battery to make sure it would last through the winter. Found some corrosion and bloating on her car's installed battery so I had to go back and buy a new battery. Picked up the recommended battery listed in the computer and went home. Test fit of battery in the car revealed it was too tall. The battery listed in the computer system was not the correct one for her vehicle. The listed battery was an inch too tall for the vehicle's battery mounting to secure it. Returned a third time with a tape measure to make sure I picked up the right size battery. They did the exchange without issue but it was frustrating that I had to go back because the battery part number listed in their system for her vehicle was incorrect.

Wouldn't give them one star but you have to. Went to store on 23rd street to get new brake pads for the lifetime warranty break pads I already had that needed replaced. Myron looked them up but didn't have them. He sent us to the sugar Creek store which had them. Joseph at the sugar Creek store said lifetime warranty is a limited lifetime warranty and can't replace them because we had no box. Went back to 23rd street and they replaced them with another brand. You would think all O'Reilly stores had the same training and same warranty rules. Stick with 23rd street these guys know their business.

Staff is always super helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need. Store is organized and well stocked. Prices are average, but many times you can find a good sale and save money over competitors.

I called the store on 23rd street. The first time I called know one spoke, they just hung right at the ring. The second time I called they answered but no one spoke for about 60 seconds. With me saying hello the whole time. I knew there was a reason I didn't want to call you guys. So don't worry I won't call again. I always did like AutoZone. Ken Ashley, independence.

I had a part I couldn’t remember the name of. Brett was employee that help me. He found the part, and when I mentioned I had replaced it before hey suggested for looking it up on my history. It is a part of my history, since it was easy to get to, he loaned me the Socket I needed, and I exchange the part right then. The store was clean, and Brett was fast, friendly, and solve my problem. If I Oreilly hadn’t already hired him, I would. Great store, right management, and great people.
