I feel like Tow companies get a bad rap so I want to make sure this company stands out! I was involved in an auto accident and the city of Lee's Summit is contracted through Jim's. The young man from Jim's who pulled up to the scene, the very first words out of his mouth were "are you okay, ma'am"?" He reminded me to take the garage door opener and doubled checked that I had my handbag before taking the car. I would have left both if it wasn't for him! When I had to go clean the car out on their lot- they were very accommodating with meeting me up there on the weekend. The gal working in the office was so sweet and patient. I hope I never need another tow again but if I do, I'm calling them!
I’m a single mom to a teen boy. I didn’t have much of a frame of reference on tow services- until the last 2 weeks. When your car is broke down, no man to call- it’s a stressful VULNERABLE feeling as a woman. My car broke down at a QT. Jim’s (driver was Jim) was there in 10 minutes! I couldn’t believe how fast, professional & kind the driver and man who answered were, and less than $120. The price and service quality were shockingly GOOD. Which rarely happens anymore. Why this matters. 2 weeks ago: my son wrecked his car leaving church on a Wednesday night in December. He hit black ice. Went over an embankment. It was freezing. My son was shook up. His first bad accident was bad & the airbags went off. I rush to him. He was ok thankfully! I used roadside assistance through State Farm and I’ll call them the “other” tow company. State Farm isn’t cheap so I expected good tow service. We wait over an hour in the cold. Finally, after 10 pm “other” tow company driver arrived. To say he was unkind - is kind. But the worst part was watching him jerk my son’s car on the truck. I’d saved up for and had just bought it and watching him pull it on the truck was equivalent to watching a car root canal. We didn’t know it was totaled yet but that tow didn’t help, so I was very nervous when my paid off Lexus broke down & needed towed to my mechanic. I found Big Jim’s on Google. A man picked up on the first ring. It was Sunday during a Chiefs game. Didn’t expect that. He was SO nice. Said he’d have a driver there soon. “Soon” he got there so fast it was like he teleported & the driver was SO KIND. He pulled his super nice lift rig in a busy Quiktrip parking lot like an angel. Then gently lifted (not wenched) my car on the truck. Whole process so fast and reassuring! Don’t bother calling any other tow service- call Jim’s! I’m speaking from these very different 2 experiences & canceling my roadside service with my insurance company after this! I’m ONLY calling Jim’s Big tow from now on! Especially since leaving this review I just saw all their roadside services. Now Big Jim’s is in my phone saved. If you have a car emergency, call these roadside heroes!! Thank you gentleman truly!!
The guy that towed my truck was awesome. He was patient while we tried to get our money in order. He could have just left with my truck but he waited over 2 hours and was very nice the entire time.
Highly recommend. They where there in minutes. Half the price of other tow companies. Thank Jim's tow service. Turned a shitty situation into a great experience.

A-MAZ-ING service from my initial call until my vehicle was delivered to its destination. During the first significant snow for the year I needed my son's jeep towed for mechanical issues. Needless to say the tow industry was having a very busy day. I would have never known by the kind, even toned, helpful service I received. They were honest about their availability but didn't hesitate to add my service to their long and growing list. When I called back for an approximate time to coordinate with the mechanic shop they could have EASILY been annoyed but they were again extremely kind, understanding and helpful. Matt was the tow truck driver. As promised, he called when he was on his way and showed up when he said he would. When he arrived, it was around 6pm, dark and so cold. I knew his day up until that point must have been exhausting. If Matt is that friendly and cheerful on a day like yesterday I can't imagine how delightful he is on a beautiful normal work day. He was efficient but not rushed ot irritated, while working he engaged in small talk but was very professional. Once he got the Jeep to the mechanic shop he was unable to locate a key drop box. I stated my concern of putting the keys in the vehicle as it is our only set. He was again just so understanding, kind and accommodating. Per my request, I could hear him trying to find a place on the Jeep to hide the keys and when he did he was so happy and assured that nobody else would ever look for or find them there. From the first call to the very end everyone at Jims Big Tow went above and beyond to be thoughtful and understanding of my needs even though I know they were all having one very hectic day!! Top notch customer service!!
When my Prius died they were able to help me out with a quickness in Lee’s Summit. The worst place to break down, first place to police tow. So to say the least these guys are the best when in the shit luck of a broke down car. Also great customer service! Really appreciate you guys!

I locked myself out of my car at Planet Fitness on my lunch break. I called and the dispatcher was very efficient. Not 5? 10? Minutes later a man pulled up. Also, very efficient and polite. While I do regret having locked myself out (again!!) I do not regret calling these pros.

Needed a Tow and Jim's Tow Service answered the call immediately ! I talked to Trevor and he was so nice and friendly and helped alot with everything I needed. I then met Derek who was the Tow driver. He took extra care with the vehicle and you could tell he had experience. He was also nice and friendly. It is great to see that CUSTOMER SERVICE is still alive at Jim's Tow Service. I would highly recommend them !
Brett was able to get to me within 20 min! My company van broke down and I was stuck at a light. He saved the day and even dropped me off at home for a very fair charge. Couldn't of been happier with their service! Thanks Brett!
I want to THANK the friendly, professional, knowledgeable and fast Customer Service I received yesterday when my tire was flat!! The Young Man who assisted me was so nice and changed my Tire in a timely manner! He was there only 20 minutes after I requested Service! I also wanted to apologize to the Lady I talked to today I was emotional and panicked because the Key to my wheels wasn't in the pouch I gave the Young Man, however, the Tire Shop found it back where the Spare use to be! Called Jim’s Big Tow because my Prius shut down due to a faulty crankshaft sensor. Phone was answered quickly and professionally. Was given a no pressure quote. Jon A. called after being dispatched to let me know his ETA. He was extremely nice and professional. Took great care of my car while being towed and in his possession. Dropped it off in my driveway safe and sound. Thank you for the quick, courteous and professional tow. Highly recommend.
I always recommend Jim’s Tow. They have excellent knowledgeable drivers. This time we had a tractor that broke off the front axle and was tipped angled into the ditch. Dave was our driver and he did a fantastic job getting it loaded and back to the house with no additional damage, even using the angle of the tractor to avoid any tendency to roll.
Called needing my car towed from my driveway to my mechanic. They were promptly there within the hour. Loaded up with no issues, delivered with no issues. The driver Isaiah was pleasant and very friendly. I would highly recommend Jim's!

$100 cheaper for a 20 mile tow than what my insurance provider could offer "at a discount". Brett was a friendly driver and very efficient at recovering and getting my vehicle home. Would recommend for all your towing needs in the KC metro area.
Quick fast friendly service. The suspension on our vehicle was broke, so it wasn’t an easy job for them but they did an amazing job! I wouldn’t ever use any other tow service!
Just had a crazy experience where my power steering and breaks stopped on me in traffic. After managing to get my car pushed into a parking lot I used my roadside assistance from Bouncie and they called for Jim's Big Tow to pick up my car. It took only maybe 15 mins to get to me and Jake was great. Real friendly guy with a good attitude and was quick to get my car on the truck and down to my mechanic. Not a scratch on my car and he told me exactly what he was going to do before he did it. Really helped during a stressful situation. Definitely would use this service again, though I hope I don't have to!
Greatly appreciate the service that was given to me, the guy was very helpful and not only did he take my car to the destination but he also offered me a ride to get there as well. He was very quick and even helped me with some ideas to handle my situation again I appreciate his help today!!
I have a ‘78 trans am that’s inoperable, and needed to be towed to my new residence. I called up Jim’s Big Tow service, and was able to easily arrange having the car towed with a quote upfront. The cost was very reasonable. The driver, Carl, was absolutely phenomenal and such a wonderful individual! Very personable and professional! I can’t emphasize that enough! He was helpful all the way to the successful moment of the car’s drop off. He had this sense of care toward the car as if it was his own. If I am in need of a good towing company, Jim’s Big Tow is who I will be contacting first and recommending first! Thank you for such an amazing experience in a time of need!
