Quick and easy way to recycle building materials not accepted anywhere else. We drove right up, answered some quick questions, paid and dropped off the waste. It all took less than 10 minutes. Their website is really informative as well to set you up for success upon arrival. We had a suv load of building material waste and paid the Public fee. There is also commercial drop off for larger loads. Excited this place is available to our KC metro!

I can drop off all of my recyclable cardboard, glass and plastic bottles. If you separate the plastic bottles from the cardboard and glass then you can drop off recyclable items for free. The recycling bins are in the front whenever your vehicle gets weighed in. The trash dumpsters which will cost you $ money are located in the back of the landfill. You can drop off automotive old oil and old antifreeze, tell the attendant in the window that you have old oil or antifreeze show your ID and you can drop everything off for free.

If you are a resident of lees summit and have old paint, batteries or other hazardous waste, Don’t toss it just bring it here for free. Had a ton of old paint from various projects over the years and had no issues bringing it here to dispose of. The only thing that kinda stinks is their prices for old tvs and monitors. I have several I want to get rid of but they are $20 each so that adds up quickly. Other than that free for HHW and $15 for regular waste isn’t bad.

Blonde at booth check in is the best. Very fast drop off , organized, staff actually jumps in to help. Won’t go another place

Convenient, but do yourself a favor and "secure" your items. It's an extra $25, even if it wasn't blowing away. I do wonder what that money goes toward.

As a resident of Blue Springs, I had a fantastic experience at Lee's Summit Recovery Park. Not only could I dispose of hazardous waste for free, but I also got rid of other trash by the trailer load at very reasonable prices. The staff at the front window were friendly and helpful, and I'm looking forward to returning with denser loads, as they currently charge by volume instead of weight. Overall, a great resource for responsible waste disposal.

We had lots of chemicals to dump, but wanted to do it safely with as little environmental impact as possible. I felt good about the fact that they test all chemicals to determine the best way to dispose of them before doing anything with them. Lee's Summit residents can go anytime, and other area residents can go Monday thru Wednesday.

Under construction right now but will be great when finished. Usually pretty reasonable but charged me for half a pickup load today for one shelf. Not sure why.

We have been using Resource and Recovery to deposit our tree limbs. We have been extremely impressed in dealing with the lady in the booth where you pay. She is always congenial and pleasant to deal with. Good people to fill customer related jobs are hard to find. She is one of those rare employees.

Stacy is awesome. Every time my partner and I pull up to her window she’s greets us with a big smile and a great attitude. We could go to other dumps that are closer but we always go out of our way to Lees summit because we know Stacy will brighten up our day.

Require an appointment to drop off paint but does not specify this on their website. Waited all week for their SPECIFIC days to hear this over the phone. Certainly glad I did not make the trip out there. Makes it really hard to do the right thing. Go elsewhere, DO NOT waste your time!!!

$32 to dump a small pickup load! Tiffany Ridge wanted to charge $120, highway robbery! Will definitely come back!

The owner and his staff are such kind and wonderful people. My tire popped on a nail when I came to unload my stuff. They helped me get a new tire and put it on for me. One lady got us some water while we were waiting. They have a great facility to recycle and get rid of things that can not be recycle. It only cost $32 dollars to get rid of a van full of stuff. Thanks everyone!

I just went there yesterday with a pickup truck load of household junk, they charged me only $32. After calling several places around Independence and Kansas City, they all wanted from $80 - $100 minimum. At Lee's Summit they are very reasonable, the staff was friendly and helpful and you don't have to be a Lee's Summit residence. I would definitely go there again.

Awesome staff, always helpful! They have set rates depending on load/vehicle, they will sometimes cut you a nice break when you have just a few items. They keep the pda area nice and tidy and are always willing to give a hand if you need. I can't count the times they've helped me out.

The people are so helpful here and it's such an efficient operation. Much different than when the city ran it. I end up going at least once a quarter and never have a long wait, the price is fair, and the attendants are always willing to help. I really like that they offer recycling for cardboard and noticed yesterday that they had added aluminum cans to the center. I wouldn't say it's a pleasure having to go to the landfill but the staff here make it a fairly painless experience.

My husband and I drop off our recycling here at the Recovery Park. The attendants at the little building as you enter are SO nice. The lady at the "she shed" is especially nice. The young man who is an attendant is also very friendly. They make a routine chore a much more enjoyable experience! If I were their boss I would give them a big raise !!

I’m not sure what someone expects when disposing of yard waste, and general waste but this place exceeds expectations. You get good instruction at the gate, it’s well organized, and they have staff willing to navigate traffic and help with large objects.

Robert Dimaio, how can you possibly break 6 ribs at the resource center? Did you fall in the dumpster? Did you fall off your own load? And you drove away having 6 broken ribs? Have always had a very positive experience with all the employees!

I come where at least 2 times a week, always fast and friendly, best prices in the area, never had any problems here. And always friendly faces in the she shed.

Actually went yesterday and ended up breaking 6 ribs. Not 1 single employee or person came to my aid. Not 1! Name will be changing soon. New name will be DiMaio's recovery of Lee's Summit. Sounds better anyway

This had been my go to disposal location for some time. Can never remember closing times and arrives at 405, they close at 4. Well shoot, was headed down the street home when was honking at me, thinking I was losing some the debris I pulled over and the supervisor said that she didn't want me to haul my trash home. She called the pay office and told me to go back and unload. And the great customer service didn't stop, the machine operator parked his bucket and helped me out. That was the second time they have shown outstanding customer service.

After reading horrible reviews about the JoCo dump I decided to make the trek out to Lee's Summit. Totally worth it! $32 for an SUV full of trash, helpful staff and an efficient process. In and out in 10 minutes!

We had a mountain of cardboard boxes from moving along with some broken furniture (also from the move . I was able to get rid of everything in a very full van load for only $18. I would have happily paid $50 or more to get use of my garage again. Great experience, helpful employees, well thought out layout.

The people here are Awesome, the prices are very reasonable. The customer service was so good I had to ask if this is private owned, because government owned are NEVER this people friendly!. Thank you for great experience and service. Kaitlin is very cool to work with.

I called this morning to inquire if they took treated wood from an old playset. I had to leave a message but I received a return phone call within 10 minutes. I just left there, the whole process took less than five minutes. There was an employee that helped me unload my van full of wood. Couldn’t have been easier.

I was fascinated by the efficiency of the piles. The way they beckoned my garbage and then accepted it as its own brought a tear to my eye. I'll be honest, I originally had some anxiety about how my discarded goods would fare once we parted, but after seeing them merge with the existing rubish, I knew they had found a home. I have visited mountains of crap all over the world and I am not exaggerating when I say that Lee's Summit trash is among the best that I have ever seen. Bravo.
