I would not recommend this company to anyone . I drove up to check on my semi found that they had.opend.my door and had a key made to start truck. They said Phillips wanted it moved when they fun off before I went back in because I had permission to park there . I had.a.heart attack and was off for awhile. Needless to I think if I wouldn't of got there when I did my truck would of been gone. I did file a.police report and have hired an lawyer.
Very unprofessional, Rude and have no business being in the the service industry. The men working here are out of control but there’s a lady who is courteous and informative. 0/10 recommend, Spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
They literally repossessed my car without notification and then had the audacity to lie to the loan company about when it was taken. If I had received notification this never would’ve taken place. But when I called about a my child’s car seat and gun in the car I couldn’t even get those items without the release from my loan company. Which had already been paid. Then only remembered that my wife had called bc apparently homophobia is one of their strengths also.
Edit… checked my wife’s phone and there was not a call made to that number. So… idk who called. But apparently interrupting people is threatening behavior.
I dealt with Kris and his team, they were amazing, we needed several vehicles moved and they never hesitated to do what we needed. They went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you all so much for everything. I will recommend them for any towing needs. Very professional team. I can not rave enough about them.
Our experience with this company was due to our car being repoed. The problems started with they didn't contact us saying they were coming, bank told us since my son was giving car back we be contacted. This company never contacted us they just came took car with my sons belongings still in it. When I called to setup appointment to retrieve my son's belongs the woman I talked to was pleasant, my husband & son arrived at location and half way into parking lot they could smell marijuana my husband said there was 3-4 guys in the direction of the marijuana smell, they was smoking marijuana with no respect that our son was there. They go to a shed as a office a woman takes them to my son's car & immediately you can see someone had ransacked my son's car, glove compartment was open papers hanging, my son's bag was open items hanging out it was clear someone went throu my son's car. While my husband & son was collecting his belongs they kept hearing yelling, coming from other side of a Johhny on the spot, as they was going to leave & check out at the office they witnessed a black gentleman standing on the porch yelling at someone in the office, my husband said this man was loud, & unruly they decided not to check out & just exit the property. As they was walking across parking lot they witnessed 2 young men smoking marijuana in doorway of a big garage, the black gentleman continuing to yell & be unruly starts walking in the direction of the 2 Young men smoking marijuana
There was no management, no
security in sight. my husband stated it was strange uncomfortable environment & nothing about this company was professional. My son went threw his belongs when he returned home an his wallet that was in his backpack is gone. we decided not to contact this tow company about missing wallet we instead contacted our bank who holds the note to my son's car who put me in contact with the company that hired this tow company. I filed a formal compliant on my son's wallet being stolen from his car & about the uncomfortable environment my husband & son witnessed & experienced while being on this property.
If you don't have to deal with this company do not, its very unpleasant experience.
Management, cooperate individuals of this company my son would like his wallet back that has $53 in it, & the environment you have is very unpleasant for families to enter.
Needed 3 of my vehicles towed from a fellow tow company due to my city police being bored... They brought them home and even placed them where I asked plus it was very cheap to have all 3 of them towed to my home..Will be calling them again when I need a tow
I was recently in a car accident and they came upon the accident and stopped and helped. The driver was Matt. He was fantastic. He immediately offered to get my car out of the middle of the road and then stayed to make sure I was ok as well as the other party. He helped answer questions and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He offered to take me back to their lot and stay with me while I waited for a ride or even stay with me at the site of the accident. I felt like he went well above and beyond. Thorp has been very quick and timely in responding my messages also.
Truck was vandalized while parked diagonally on street. Perez was dispatcher. Found him extraordinarily pleasant and responsive. Also quoted and honored most competitive quote among 3 or 4 firms I called, and with no game-playing. Other firms warned of extra charges if in the driver's opinion it was a difficult tow. (Say WHAT?)
Alex, the driver, proved to be a chipper pro who made the whole experience almost enjoyable. He does maneuvers in reverse gear that I wouldn't attempt in forward gear. On a first pass, and with the precision of a robotic surgeon, he lifted the front end and swung the truck around to a position parallel to the curb. On a second, he hooked up for the haul, called in my card and was gone.
In spite of my dread of needing a tow again I'd actually look forward to doing business with them again. (And no, I'm not losing my marbles!)Their integrity, service ethic and professionalism sets them apart from their competitors in a business notorious for price-gouging and opportunism, and I'm glad to know they're out there.

If you are looking for the average towing experience this is not the place to go, but if you are looking for people that not only enjoy but take pride in the work this is the only place that comes to mind. No one ever wants to have to call a tow service but I have never had such a speedy and easy resolution to my car trouble. It absolutely sucked I needed my car towed due to a ball joint issue but the service provided almost made it worth it.
Chris towed my car last night and he did an exceptionally fine job
Besides knowing his business well he was very polite and helpful.

I was in a real pickle, car dead in an intersection, and once I contacted these guys, they were right there. Saved the day! Very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I will call them anytime!
Thorps tow was called due to my car smoking. In preparation to getting hooked up
My dashboard bursed into flames. Due to their driver Joseph's quick action and knowledge of how to handle the situation, the fire was put out. Their tow truck actually had an extinguisher!!!! A dangerous situation well taken care of. Thank you Thank you
Thorp&SonsTowing was GREAT for us. Their “young” gentleman was on time, polite, helpful in getting the car out of the garage without hurting the car or the garage. The gear shift was locked but the young man that had the tow truck waiting (he was driver) managed to fix the gear shift so it would run to be driven out of the garage. He didn’t hit anything and did not damage the car in any manner. He was polite, professional and very note worthy about his skills. We would suggest their services ANY time you need such for towing. This has to be the best one in the Kansas City community. If you are good you are just good as I see it.
So I had my 07 F-150 breakdown luckily in driveway out of harms way. I am dealing with my roadside assistance to have to truck towed. I was told Thorpe and sons towing would be there to pick truck up in 60 mins. 50 mins later a young man called and says “is it the truck next to the boat?” This truck is literally the ONLY Ford around. I said yes he says ok let me get with dispatch because he cannot get it with the flat bed. No problem. he told me he would call right back. An hour goes by and my insurance calls me and tells me that they are dispatching another tow service to pick up an F-150 as Thorpe and sons towing did not have the efficient equipment to tow my 1/2 ton pick up. Poor customer service and no call back to me letting me know they had decided to cancel. I would never recommend these guys for a tow!
This is the worst towing company I’ve ever had to deal with - over an hour late and then over charged me - I would never recommend this company to anyone and I will be going on EVERY towing survey site letting everyone know this !!! #getya$$$now
