If you are going to have someone answering your phones when the business is not open he should be professional and knowledgeable. But to talk to someone as if they are stupid because they need answers that you should know is UNACCEPTABLE. Professionalism is a must

Andrew was very helpful during a very difficult situation. I appreciate straight to the point transparency!

Worst towing experience, I have a AAA Premier RV and they tried to charge me 1700 for a 20 mile trip. The guy was a total rip off. He was asking me questions like are you living in it or do you know your tire pressure like an interrogation. Sometimes tow truck drivers are scum of the Earth. And this company I’m telling you is.

I called to get information on a vehicle at like 11AM and I was told to call back at 1PM because I am calling out of state. I called at 1PM they tell me they are at lunch to call back at 2PM. Why would they tell me to call at 1 or even answer the phone if at lunch?

They mistakenly tried to tow my car without checking address, plate, or VIN. Unprofessional and incompetent. The operator unhooked and bolted without even an apology. The owner was dismissive. VERY SUSPICIOUS.

John went the extra mile for us by coming all the way to Whitney Tx in a hurry when he became aware my husband packed his meds in the camper. Thank John and thank you Hookers Tow!

My guy was great ! Towed me to the tire place , then towed me back home because my lug nuts were rusted on. ( long story) expensive flat tire , but the towing was excellent

Worst experience ever. We spent almost a week trying to get our car off of their lot. It was one excuse(lie) after another. They just wanted to rack up the lot fees. Our final tow bill was $2400!!! To tow our car 10 minutes to their lot, 5-6 days of lot storage, and a 10 minute tow to the mechanic. Just light your money on fire, it will be quicker and less painful.

White wrecker with gray ford fusion on wheel lift was doing 20 over with no straps, light indicators on car. I attempted to call the office to inform of concerns, immediately after answering front desk person said he was in route to wreck and would not listen to my concerns about this driver possibly getting someone hurt, just completely blew me off.

Dylan was quick and informative in helping me with my dead battery on a Friday night. He even helped me with my door that got stuck on this old truck. Call these guys and ask for Dylan. He will take great care of you.

I know many people have strong opinions about tow companies and their drivers. But they’re like lawyers, we hate them until we need them. I wanted to make sure that Matthew and Devan got a shout out for helping my wife on I-70 when she was the victim of a hit and run. I was stuck in traffic behind the wreck, trying to get to her. So they loaded her car, as well as the perpetrator’s car, up and met me at Lowe’s. Instead of forcing me to pay for a tow to our house, they wrenched the back bumper away from the tire and allowed me to drive my wife’s car home. That’s the kind of community service that matters.

My experience with this towing company was absolutely terrible, and I feel obligated to warn others to avoid them at all costs. From start to finish, the entire process was a disaster. I initially called them for assistance and was told the tow truck would arrive within 30 minutes. Over two hours later, I was still waiting, stranded on the side of the road, with no updates or communication from their team. When I finally managed to reach someone, they were dismissive and unhelpful, making it seem like I was the problem for even asking about the delay. When the driver eventually showed up, the service was shockingly unprofessional. The driver was rude, impatient, and seemed completely uninterested in providing any kind of help or explanation about the process. Worse, their equipment looked like it hadn’t been maintained in years, making me seriously question the safety of allowing them to tow my vehicle. And now let’s talk about the cost—because this company is outrageously expensive. The price I was quoted over the phone was already on the higher side, but I was desperate and agreed. When the bill arrived, it included a ton of hidden fees and extra charges that were never mentioned. In the end, I paid nearly double what I was initially told! When I questioned these charges, the staff were defensive and refused to provide a clear breakdown of the costs. For a company charging such exorbitant prices, you’d think they’d offer top-notch service, but it was quite the opposite. Between the ridiculous cost, poor communication, endless delays, and unprofessional staff, I can honestly say this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. I would not recommend this business to anyone unless you’re ready to overpay for subpar, unreliable service. Look elsewhere for towing help—you’ll thank yourself later."

Hookers Towing falsely misrepresented themselves as my AAA provider after my accident, coerced me into canceling my AAA request, and then charged outrageous fees to attempt to salvage my car and retrieve my personal belongings. They violated Missouri law and KC ordinances, withheld an itemized bill upon multiple requests, and imposed improper storage charges and hidden fees. Highly unethical and deceptive practices—avoid at all costs!

Id give this tow company 0 stars if possible, this is a predatory company be warned. They towed my car and were delaying to release it so they can charge more money and they are rude af. They kept me waiting in the cold for their driver who showed up about 40 minutes late. These people will try squeeze out every dollar they can get from you. Very pathetic!

Forced me to get the car towed back to their yard when I didn’t have insurance and the car still drove, still has in the same condition for 3500 miles since with no work done to it other than airing the tires they deflated when I told them I’d be picking it up from the yard. They also charged me $1000 cash to get it out once I revealed I didn’t have insurance. I’ve never had to get a loan for anything other than the car itself but they put me in such a poor spot on top of the damage to the car. And when I pleaded for them to tow it out because I figured the tires really had gone, they say $1200. This wouldn’t be a one star but they deflated my tires, like I’m worried they did other things to it but I left it there two nights, the second night was when the tires went to 7 and 17 in the front, like my app tells me…. And I’ve driven 3500 miles on ONE air fill up, they are lucky this is just a review.

Chris was so caring and amazing. My truck broke down. I was alone. He made sure I was safe and took great care of my truck. I told him my husband was pricking me up and he waiting till he arrived. I honestly can not thank him enough.

TERRIBLE COMPANY. My car was labeled as undrivable (it's not) and improperly towed from my parking lot (7 others towed as well, all legally able to park there). Front tire was blown out leaving the impound lot and had to be towed to a tire shop. Was told I had to pay in cash so you know they aren't paying taxes on their extortions. They also failed to report the vehicle as towed to police because of a "messed up fax machine" so for 3 hours I believed my car was stolen. Had to call off of work, file police reports, the whole nine... Just absolutely no remorse, no apologies, and no corrective action from this company for their missteps. For shame...

John and his boss were absolute angels to me ! Someone smacked and ran after hitting my car at 2am and he came and saved me and gave me a ride home with my truck. A great guy and a great company thank you again

One of your workers is going around driving like a total drunkard right now in a white pickup. They were weaving through cars to get farther ahead, while also not signaling at all. (Which didn't make them any faster I'd anything they just wasted gas.) Stopped completely past the signal line. And didn't pull over and slow down for two emergency vehicles. Like a checklist of everything you shouldn't do. It's even dumber to do it in your company truck.

Drove three hours to pick up a piece of equipment they were storing on their yard. Called in advance to be sure they would be around and available to load. They made my driver wait for four hours and then told him they would not load him that day because there was snow and ice on their yard. The snow and ice was there when I called them originally. Went back with my own loader the next week because they were “unable” to load it even though they are a very capable towing company. They charged me more storage time and not even an apology for the six hour trip that I took the week before when they were unable to load it. This was after they tried to scam the insurance company for more than double what the original agreed charges were. Please be very aware that these people are very dishonest.

Disappointed is the word. I called last night and was quoted $105 to pay with my debit card for a tow 4 miles from my house to the mechanic. Not a problem, because I know that they do have to travel to me and many factors are involved. I was very happy to pay this price. After scheduling, I got called by Cody, the tow truck driver, last night and he informed me that he would not be coming to my house because he had bald tires on his wrecker. I told him that I agreed with that decision, and that they should send another driver that had tread on his vehicle for the safety of the driver, my vehicle, and the vehicle that they would be operating. I was contacted by their dispatcher who informed me that he was going to put me on the schedule for this morning for a pick up at 6:30 AM. I woke up at six in the morning to be ready for the driver and I never received a phone call. I finally Decided to pick up the phone and call them around 7:42am, this morning, and was informed that they had no idea that I was supposed to be on the schedule and that their usual dispatcher had been in a wreck. I was OK with this simply because lack of communication does occur and it’s no one‘s fault usually except the two parties involved. I was happy to be flexible with them because I did not have to be at work until noon. The tow truck driver came shortly thereafter, got up to my house, pulled into my yard and then proceeds to back down the hill after realizing that he cannot get my car from the current position, so what I did from that point was advised to him that he should back up to my car, pick it up and then pull it straight out after. Once backed down the hill, he walked up the hill and told my husband that he did not think that he should do the maneuvering that was requested and he told us that he was going to come back around 1 PM today once the snow and ice had melted from in front of our house, which again was also just fine because it is very snowy and icy in Kansas City, right now and while we’re on the Kansas side it’s also pretty bad. 1230 approaches and I called the tow company to let them know that all the snow and ice has gone that is fully melted with our 40° temperatures and that they can send the wrecker, who by the way was the same guy from last nights phone call, so CODY, back to pick up the car. I was then told by the dispatcher that the tow truck driver informed them that he backed down our hill slid the entire way and hit a metal pole and did not feel comfortable coming back to the house. None of which occurred as we watched the entire time, and have clear view. That dispatcher, then proceeds to tell me that he has sent two wreckers out to my house with no success, when I’ve only had one visit, and a phone call refusal last night, and then also proceeds to tell me that there’s nothing further that they can do for me and that I will need to contact another company which at this point I’m OK with contacting another company because I’ve received lackluster service and apparently their tow driver likes to lie to get out of his jobs. If that’s the kind of people that you like to employ, then good for you, but that’s not the kind of people that I like to receive service by or that many people here in Kansas City would like to receive service by. I just hope that this review gets into the good hand that it needs to so that may be some changes can be made And the employee can be spoke to and that he knows that you don’t have to lie to get out of a job if you don’t want to pick up the vehicle fine just say that. Due to recent events, very poor service/communication And a lying tow truck driver I am giving one star. Be well.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are thieves plain and simple!!!! They were instructed to drop my vehicle off 15 miles from point of pick up, they chose to take it back to their lot and bill the insurance over )$1400 to get the vehicle to the right place. It is three day later and the insurance is still trying to get my car back.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. DO NOT USE. They're highway robbery. Had many charges on the bill that made no sense. They're liars and scam artists. Will be reporting to the state and anywhere else I can. Please do not use!!!!!!!!!! Got in a wreck. They pulled over and waited (illegal in lots of places). Then they charged for wait time even though they were never asked to wait. 700$ fee to tow it little over a mile. Also was given a receipt with my signature on it, however I never signed this paper.

So the guy who towed my car was great, but they charged me $2000 for a tow bill. I was told it would be $8 a mile or $400-$600. So I was definitely taken back when I seen the bill. Even though the guy was super awesome. The 2 day storage fee ( car was there less than 24 hours) was a little ridiculous. I just can't recommend this company because the shady business practice. ( Pretty sure they just took advantage of my insurance company. )

I called because my son was in a ditch, they were there very quickly and worked diligently to get his car out of the ditch with very little damage, if any. I was in constant contact with them and they advised me of the price, etc... up front. They actually should have charged me more than what they did, however they were trying to be fair with me, which I appreciated very much. I will definitely use them in the future! My hero's!!! Thank you very much and I will definitely call you in the future, if needed.
