On our last tow by Jackson County Tow Service, the driver called and told me he was going to "reverse tow" our truck (hook to the rear of the truck, and tow it backwards). He called a short time later, and told me that the left front hub had caught fire, but he was able to immediately put the fire out, and asked me where I wanted him to tow the truck. I arranged a service place, and Jackson County Tow Service charged for another hookup (2 hookups for 1 tow). When I tried to explain it was just "1 tow", they told me that they were charging for 2 hooks anyway. We will not use Jackson County Tow Service again.
Last week my wife and I were dropping off food for some friends who recently had a baby. We got out of our van to drop the food at the doorstep, shut the doors and our dog jumped on the inside door panel and managed to lock the car door with the vehicle running and our two children inside. The situation was not an emergency but did require immediate assistance.
The fire dept and police dept arrived but did not have lockout kits.
We contacted Jackson towing and Leo from Jackson county towing arrived rapidly. He jumped out of his rig, and literally ran with his tools to the van and had it opened within minutes. It took convincing to get him to even take a tip.
Great service from Leo, I highly recommend, very professional and caring.
Never used them for a tow. The drivers are crazy. A semi truck and flat bed from this company was driving 80 plus on 50 hwy in Lees Summit, the speed limit is 60 mph.

Prompt, Professional, and Problem Free. I had my Silverado 1500 hauled to the shop due to some lifters going bad, and Jackson County Tow responded in 20 minutes and got me dropped off at the service center in under an hour after calling. Would recommend their services to anyone.
Their guy Tyler took time out of his day on a weekend, just driving by, to help me out right after I got into an accident and made sure I was healthy and didn't have to wait hours for insurance to send a truck. Their guys and service are top notch.
RED (driver) with JaCoTow is a beast. Was able to literally thread the needle with his semi onto my property and drop off a 40' connex. 11 out 10 service. Bravo.
Matt is very professional. My husband and I were on a walk and watched him unload a cargo shipping container off at a construction sight. He went above and beyond to make sure it was done right. He has some serious skill.
I live in the state of Washington and was on day 22 of a 45 day trip to the Midwest when I broke (2) leaf springs on my 8500 pound travel trailer and ended up on the side of a busy Kansas City highway during rush hour. After several calls to towing companies, finally found Jackson County Tow Service who made their way to me with a big truck, capable of winching my disabled trailer onto their flatbed to take it 25 miles away to a repair station.
Despite a pretty terrible trailer experience, the day ended better. The dispatch at Jackson County Tow found a way to squeeze me into their busy schedule and Zach and Tyler (brothers) both came out to get it loaded. The axle was also compromised which meant that it wasn't as simple as pulling it straight up onto the flatbed. They needed to do all sorts of things to get it on there straight and SAFELY. Then, they worked together to get it to the repair center and then worked together to gently get it off the truck.
I think they have a thankless job. Usually they are interacting with people who are angry that they are broke down and I am sure that after a long day of that, they may have had their days fill of rude people but they were communicative, polite, empathetic at the terrible situation, and they treated the camper like it was theirs, not rushing to get it on the truck to get home.
Not sure the experience could have been better!
Jacob came to tow my 2006 Fleetwood revolution to the shop. He experienced obstacle after obstacle and I’m pleased to say he conquered each and every one of them with dignity. Not once did I see him get upset. He was very kind and focused on his job which he carried out to the fullest extent! He was kind, friendly and nothing short of amazing! If I ever have to use this service again I will request that he be the one sent to help me! I’d use this service over many others any day! I AM very impressed!
My husband had an appointment this past Wednesday between 9-11 to pick up our 40-foot container in Pleasant Hills, Mo. He took off work to be there when they came. The guy finally showed up at 4:30 and told my husband to move some wood that was in the way and that he'll be back shortly that he had another job just down the road from us. WHO FREAKING DOES THAT??!! Regardless, my husband moved it. It took him 5 minutes!!! The guy NEVER came back! The day was a TOTAL loss of time and wages! Now we're forced to go with another company setup for next Thursday. Management knows exactly who this is!

Just wanted to thanks to James for a great job rescuing my truck and 5th wheel RV. Dropped the drive shaft on Truman. James made sure that we got the RV back to the campground, the truck to the shop, and even gave us a ride back to the RV after the truck was dropped off!! All safely and efficiently. This has got to be the absolute best tow company around. Always out performing what’s expected. Especially one of the rotator operators Ethan. Every time he comes to help me at our yard he knows exactly what to do and does it safely. Overall everyone needs to call Jackson County Tow for any towing or recovery needs!!

Driving home tonight and one of this company's drivers decided he needed to be in the fast lane on 435 for no reason, kicked ( or fell off the trailer) a bunch of asphalt up on my car and put a bunch of chips in my Teslas windshield. Good thing I can get this chip repaired tomorrow.

I made the poor decision to go down U highway before it had been plowed to get back home from work… and I got stuck in the snow. These guys helped me get out, and kept positive attitudes which I really appreciated. Definitely would recommend them to anyone should you find yourself in need of help.
Leo was the driver that took great care and attention to detail getting my tool boxes loaded and strapped down to move them from my home to our shop. He did great would recommend 1000% he was the best!!!

This review is Long overdue. I set up Jackson County Tow to move my Hot Rod from a shop in Independence to my home in Grandview. This was the second time that I had used them to move my baby. This project has been a long term expensive project. The first time all went great even though its not an easy vehicle to move , low no brakes and not running (yet) .
The second time the driver showed up and I meat him at the shop to load the truck every thing was great , still low and hard to load. Each time the drivers new exactly what to do and how to over come all obstacles.
When we arrived at my home and began to unload a safety hook failed and the truck got loose with the bed tilted and the truck side swiped the garage door and hit a pole in the center of my garage. Thankfully no one was seriously injured. The driver got a strap burn trying to hold the truck back. After the initial shock of how fast the truck rolled into the garage wore off I saw the damage to my baby that just happened. I had not even fired the new engine for the first time and it had already been in its first accident. I was speechless and said very little. (apart from the first few anguished swear words)
I got the driver an ice pack for his hand and he immediately called the office to explain what had just happened. It seemed like only a matter of a few minutes two guys from the office showed up at my house and arrangements were made to return the truck to the shop it had just left and to have it repaired. The truck was repaired and returned to me this time with no problems. And all the damage repaired.
I did not even have to pay for the tow.
It was just great to see a company do the right thing for the right reasons with little to no involvement on my part. Even though it was my baby that got hurt I will never use any other tow company.
Thanks for being that company that can turn a negative into a positive.

Red got the job done for us once again. He Got the excavator dropped off and picked up without any issues. Timing is very crucial in construction and Jackson county tow always comes in clutch.

Most recently, I believe his name was Leo, the driver who helped me and him and the other previous times I was helped out it was always a good experience. I've kept coming back because they have been very dependable. Whenever I need a tow I'll keep calling Jackson County Tow Service.

Had to get a tow for my tractor from one shop to another. It's been a heck of a weekend iam sure foe these guys but when Kip showed up he was all on it. First off i gotta say their equipment is top notch absolutely beautiful beast of a KW!!! AND for being a working man's truck it was clean ! Got hooked and booked in all of maybe 20 minutes if that and Kip was very professional and chatty during the ride. I had tons of questions about the truck and the banter back and forth was very much appreciated!!! Got unhooked and tonmy destination safely and as much as towing is unfortunately a thing you gotta do from time to time I wouldn't hesitate giving Kip and Jackson County tow my business if iam ever in the KC area and need them.
