This was a great winery, and the cellar tour was excellent. I would highly recommend. Unfortunately, since we visited in January, the restaurant was closed, but we hope to come back and try it sometime. The wine tastings and the shop were excellent.

Never been and we truly loved it. Did the tour, amazing how rich in history this place is and how Missouri has so much unknowns. Also did the wine tasting. We had lunch at the restaurant too. Truly a remarkable day with my loved ones.

Fun winery, full selection of wines from dry to sweet. The wine tasting is $15 for 6 wines plus a free logo glass. The historical tour of the largest cellar of North America is fun and informative.

Some of the better wine in Missouri. With the tasting, you get to keep the glass. Was very surprised how much we liked their wine. Came home with 6 bottles. Amazing view of Hermann from up there.

We enjoyed the cellar tour and a tasting. Our tour guide, John, was top notch. It was really enjoyable to learn so much about Hermann wine history. The tasting was our favorite of the day with good insights, not rushed, and very tasty.

Be sure to take advantage of the free cellar tour. The guides provide a great history of the winery to help the visitor understand not just the wine-making process, but the town and the culture in which it exists. Their wine is very good and worth the stop.

I tried a glass of the Hellbender wine at the hotel bar last night so decided I would do the tour and tasting today. Steve was an excellent guide both for my tour and tasting. The history of wine making in Missouri was interesting as well as seeing the incredible hand built stone cellars. I tried my six wines and every one of them was good. They seem to have something for every taste.

We went on fall harvest festival day. The experience was great. This winery is right in Hermann and it's easy to get to even though it's on a hill. The grounds are nice and very historic. We didn't visit all parts but we got a good feel for the place. The tasting room capacity is big and it's a great experience. They make a lot of wines so there are many to choose from. The store is huge. There are some wines you can only get at the store on the premesis. This was one of the best winery experiences I've had. Stone hill is a popular brand in the area. They have something for almost everyone.

Nice place that is in a beautiful location on top of one of the many hills in Hermann. We went on the winery tour which we had been on before but it was years ago. The tour leader was personable and willing to answer any question, or even be patient when one person on our tour wanted to use this time as a personnel photo shoot, lol. The tour is about 30 minutes or so and was definitely well worth the cost.....which was free. Be sure to tip your guide : )

Nice setup. We did the tasting, small pours but the wines were very good. Shoutout to Cream Sherry, that was phenomenal.

This was our first stop on our little wine tour in Hermann. It ended up being my favorite location. Our complimentary tour was actually really neat and we learned a lot about the history of missouri wine. The cellars are just beautiful! After a day of drinking wine I unfortunately do not remember the name of our guide, but he did a magnificent job. (I believe he was a STL native, and has been in Hermann for two years) The tasting was also very cool, and informative. I highly recommended a visit if you are in the area!

Excellent complimentary tour of the premises. Super stocked retail store. Great wine tasting events. This is probably THE BEST Winery stop in all of Hermann.

Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, MO, deserves every bit of a glowing five-star review! Our experience was made unforgettable by our tour guide, Rebecca, whose thoroughness, engaging personality, and vast knowledge brought the history of the winery to life. As an educator myself, I was deeply impressed by how seamlessly she explained the effects of prohibition, guiding my wife and me to insightful conclusions through her storytelling. The wine tasting was equally exceptional, and Rebecca’s expertise truly shone as she introduced us to the incredible wines Stone Hill has to offer. We left with a few bottles to savor at home and a great appreciation for the care and craft behind each vintage. We had an absolutely phenomenal time and will enthusiastically recommend this experience to all our friends. Huge thanks to Rebecca for making this visit so memorable!

A very good choice compared to the other breweries if you want real German food. It has a shnitzle dish and a bratwurst dish but you can also order a half order of each wich is what I got here. I went during the winter months witch ment there was no wait but if you go during the spring or fall it has a lot more people. All in all I highly recommend this place.

We stopped by Stone Hill for a tour and tasting. I'd heard good things about MO wine country and did a lot of research as there are many in this area. What stuck out to me initially was the fact Stone Hill offered a tour which is why i selected them for our visit. I also saw online they offer tastings with a glass to take home! They offer the tours at specific times scheduled throughout the day so be sure to check before going! We stopped by for the 2pm tour and it was definitely a bigger group due to it being the first one after lunch break. Our tour guide was a young man who was friendly and knowledgeable about the grounds and history as well as inviting and offered comedic relief during the tour. The tour is free and takes you around the grounds and through the cellars as you learn how different wines around the Vineyard are made as well as the history of the grounds and owners. It is a very intriguing tour and we learned a lot about wine making through the years! Afterwards we headed to the shop to get set up for our tasting. We were given chips with a room number and directed to a tasting room. The tasting experience was fun overall but not very personal although the server tried to explain each wine as she poured. It is done in a room with a server in the middle of a square bar with people gathered around. You are given a sheet with multiple options of wines from dry to sparkling to sweet and able to pick a wide variety to enjoy! The server then works her way through your list one by one, pouring each sample in your complimentary glass. She works her way around the bar and each person/group is on a different point in their tasting journey but she was good at making us feel engaged when it was our turn and would offer commentary on each sample. The grounds do feature a restaurant we did not have time to stop at so will definitely have to return to try their fares. Overall the winery visit was well worth the 1hr 20min drive from STL and I would definitely return to enjoy the tour again and sample a different selection of wines as there were many many options available. They did have a shop with wine to take home and merchandise available as well!

Hermann is such a beautiful town and so is Stone Hill. I visited in April 2024 and I did the free tour which was so neat. The very long history starting in 1847 of this place is so fascinating to me. They also have really good wine and I bought a few bottles. Their Norton is one of the best in Missouri and they have many awards to back that up! My other favorites that I highly recommend trying are Chambourcin(dry red) and Moscato(sweet). They also have a Norton glass which you can buy that works for many other grapes too at a fair price. There is no doubt I will be visiting again it's just far away from where I live. I overall highly recommend doing the tour especially if you like history and visiting Stone Hill Winery.

Had a great visit to the Stone Hill Winery for a tasting. Was able to taste 6 wines and take home a souvenir glass (stemless). The wines are on the “sweeter” side for dry wines. But I enjoyed all six and especially found the Norton to be of particular enjoyment. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was a little crowded around the tasting area but overall that was fine. Great views of the surrounding town from the top of the hill.

Enjoyed the trip to Stone Hill Winery. Staff were exceptional! The tour was good and the grounds were beautiful. Would recommend stopping or making the trip to others. The tour has many steps and elevation changes, so NOT wheelchair ♿️friendly.

Very nice winery located not far from our hotel . Oldest winery in Missouri we learned on the tour . The cellar that they built and hand dug is very impressive . Truly amazing to build something like that before modern times The wine tasting area and gift shop area are both very nice and clean. I was honestly shocked though that the chocolate they sell is from Seattle. Should support local chocolate places as well. Definitely worth stopping in here if you're in Hermann.

We had a wonderful time at Stone Hill this weekend! The wine was great, as usual, and we enjoyed our tasting with Rachel. She knows her wines! She gave us an extra tasting on our flight, where we tried their Cream Sherry. I was amazed by how much I enjoyed it, and really appreciated the extra touch Rachel gave us. We hope to be back soon! I also adored the view outside the tasting room and the fall decor.

We stumbled upon Stone Hill winery while creating our own wine trail in town! We loved it! The experience was like no other and the tasting rooms are set up in such a cool fashion it keeps you wanting to stay and chat about the good life while enjoying another splendorous sip!! The wines were so wonderful we brought two home and plan to back before fall for our second grab!! We highly recommend this as one of your main stops on the trail when going!! 20 stars all around!!!

Stone Hill is amazing! The venue is beautiful, the staff is amazing, and prices are great!!! We started with the cellar tour and then onto tasting. Once we ate dinner at the restaurant, we headed down for some quick portraits! Thank you for making a great experience!

Fun and informative wine tours. Excellent wines that use a freezing process to reduce the tannins and improve the taste. All the wines I have tried here have been great. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful property with great views of the Hermann area. Multi-level parking lot.

The free tour was a very nice touch, and impressive! We did the 6 wine flight tasting, and all wines were excellent. We happily bought a couple wines afterwards. The glasses included with the tasting are a nice quality.

I don't drink wine but I brought my husband here for some wine tasting and dinner. He loved the wines so much that we brought home 6 bottles! We took the free tour through the cellars and it was very interesting and informative. Jani (I hope I got that right) was our guide and I really enjoyed the history she shared with us, it was the best wine tour we have ever had. The cellars were amazing! Then we went into the barn for dinner and it did NOT disappoint! You can sit in a horse stall and order authentic German food here. The staff were friendly and kept our glasses full. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted great! We have lived in 8 states, been to 48 states, and visited several wineries. This by far was the most unique, beautiful, and historic winery so far. Everything was excellent and we absolutely loved our afternoon spent here. Will definitely be back for sure!
