Passing through and stopped for gas nearby. Had a near flat tire and they squeezed me in and had me back on the highway in about 45 minutes. The tire patch cost was $25. Would definitely recommend.

Had a coolant elbow blow at the truck stop there in Cameron. Went to every shop and parts store around, but no one had the part. I stopped in here and they searched their shop to find something that would work. They found the exact elbow I needed.

Fastest, nicest, and cheapest repairs I've ever come across. Got stranded in Cameron with a missfiring cylinder and needed back on the road fast. They squeezed me in, diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road in just a couple hours for pennies compared to what 2 of their competitors quoted me.

Missed my appt and called to apologize, Michael said to come in anyway and they would fit me in. He did my inspection and replaced the bad light bulbs on the spot. I’ve never had such good service and for an annoyance like a safety inspection! I know they lose money on them. He treated me like he was family wanting to take care of me. I will definitely be back for all my vehicle maintenance in the future!

Left MO 35 & 36, barely got down the road and started having issues, thought it might be fuel system. Got her back to the stop & called Midwest Auto & Diesel Repair. They said bring it over they could get us in. They said let’s start with the simplest thing, fuel filters & go from there. Ran it down the road after & it seems that was the problem. Mike, Peewee & crew did a good job, they were friendly, got us in and on our way. Great service & reasonable cost.

They've always been super good to my mom, and helping with the tow bill, even that little bit of adding it on was beyond helpful

We have finally found a great mechanic that we can trust! Thank you for being prompt, honest and great at your profession.

I used to recommend Midwest Auto Diesel—but after my recent experience, I’ll never return. My car overheated, so I scheduled a repair appointment and dropped it off on a Tuesday. I didn’t get it back until the following Thursday, over a week later, and paid just over $400. After driving it only about 100 miles, it overheated again. I had to walk several miles and figure out how to get the car back to the shop I'd just paid to repair it. When I brought it back, the person at the customer service window (a young man with poor professionalism) seemed uninterested and dismissive. I explained how frustrated I was, and all I said was that I expected to be able to drive my car for more than a hundred miles after a repair. Apparently, he twisted my words and told Mike (the owner) that I accused them of not doing any work—which I absolutely did not say. Unfortunately, Mike believed him without checking the cameras or verifying what was actually said. He was abrupt and uncharacteristically rude, which shocked me since I had previously trusted him. This time they kept my car for three more weeks. They initially assured me it wasn’t the head gasket and tried various things. I was told they did a dye test and it was fine. Eventually, they suggested replacing the thermostat—for $300, without ever confirming if the old one was even faulty. After the thermostat was replaced, they still couldn’t fix the issue, and finally decided it was the head gasket—(this time a pressure test) the same thing they ruled out three weeks earlier. They charged another $500, and my car is still not fully repaired. On top of that, when we picked up the car, a gallon of antifreeze had spilled in the back, soaking the rear carpet. When my husband called about it, they deflected blame, saying it was "your wife’s." My husband, who knows cars, was talked down to and treated with condescension when he asked valid questions. The entire tone changed once they believed (incorrectly) that I had insulted their work. In the end, we spent nearly $1,000 and still have the same major issue we went in with. I expected honest diagnostics, communication, and respect—none of which we received. This is not how you treat customers. I've now seen the owner's reply to my review. He really left out some key details but one thing I'd like to address is that I am having the car fixed, money was not the issue. I am simply taking my car to a shop with integrity.

I will NEVER take my car back here I went to get my car fixed the communication was beyond ridiculous and then when I got my car back the tire started making noise and it turns out that a bolt was missing from my caliper. It was all over the place and that could have messed up my tiee,my brakes, my caliper and I could have gotten into an accident

Check engine light came on recently and turned out that it was coil packs and plugs. My mechanic was booked up for at least a month and I needed my truck for work. I called Midwest Auto & Diesel and they got me in the next day and got it done that day. They were very professional and did a great job!

Very nice shop. Rolled in without an appointment and was out in a hour. Had my clutch adjusted and had a new motor mount put on. 2002 classic xl. The guys are knowledgeable and friendly. They gave me a ton of advice. P.S. the clutch rides like new!! Thank you, Kyle, Zeph, and Scott!

I had a bug fly into a sensor on my GM vehicle. I ran the codes and found out that a fuel sensor was to blame. It would have been a $1500 fix but they pulled the sensor, cleaned it good as new. It cost less than $200. He could have screwed me over and I would have never known different. I was VERY impressed with his honesty and work. Finding a decent mechanic is just about the hardest thing but they surpassed my expectations.

This repair shop is great to nickel and dime you for everything. They billed me for work they did not complete or even start. I had to leave my vehicle because I was told parts would take a week to receive. All they did was call me several days afterwards to add things I did not need and after agreeing, they call again for another issue. The owner was contacted and lied about having his shop manager/mechanic call about the charges but no call was received. I was charged $1400.00 for labor that was quoted but not conducted. However, I was charged again for 2 hours for the tire removal on initial check on day one. I paid thousands of dollars to recover my vehicle with the threat that if not soon their could be storage fees attached. However, they claimed that receiving parts was the cause of the extended stay! Never leave your vehicle at this location if you are traveling because you will encounter all kinds of tricks to claim more problems to get more money! Be aware of this scam!

This place was so incredibly helpful!!!! We’re on a road trip and our check engine light came on so we took it in and they fixed it right up for us so quickly! Turns out it was a code issue and they cleared them for us. Would totally go again!

Truly couldn't ask for a better place to have a frantic mechanic breakdown. They were recommended by the tow company. They answered all my questions, got me in and out in a VERY timely matter. Price was well below what I was expecting. I know if if anyone has a breakdown in that area where to send them. The guys were friendly and compassionate about my issue. Being a woman most places like this attempt to take advantage. You wont have that issue here. Thank yall so much!

Very nice to deal with, however ended up being disapppointed in follow-thru. Had a rebuilt transmission replaced (took three weeks), it was leaking three days later (I live three hours away). Midwest Auto told me to take it to my local mechanic and they cover their mistakes 100%.... Apparently that isn't true.... Another $300 to my local guy after they failed to properly install the transmission. Not going to argue over what they consider "their" mistake, but my local guy said he would have replaced it correctly the first time...... See the response from the owner below...... as I stated, am not going to argue over if it was an error or not, only that guy that answered phone when I called about the leak said it would be covered 100%.... train your employees to tell people the truth...... and I can only base the knowledge on another mechanics response, which was they wouldn't have forgotten the step that you didn't complete. Would have been more than happy to pay the extra $300 the first time to have a car with no troubles...... disappointed in your original work, your statement that you cover your mistakes 100% and now your response telling me that it wasn't your fault..... there's always an excuse.

Late posting-sorry. These folks are beyond awesome. Engine was replaced in my 2014 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, ~128,0000 miles, using Jasper Engine a year ago. 15,000 miles later, still 5/5 Review deserved. Excellent work ethic, quality work, from estimate, communication and completion. I went with Jasper Engine due to their quality and researched this shop and drove 45 minutes to have them do the work. Fantastic shop, reminded me of my Dad's shop at home from many years prior-another reason I chose Midwest.

My son and I had a tire mishap on our way to Iowa State University from KC. After multiple helpful phone calls to determine if this shop could help us, we made it there with very little time before it closed on a Saturday. The two gentlemen working assessed the issue, traveled to another store to get the parts the car needed, and thoroughly fixed the issue...all before closing. They were friendly and honest, and this mom is so appreciative! THANK YOU!

Great bunch of people, had a breakdown while traveling and needed a tow to their shop for repairs. Was taken care of immediately and back on the road in an hour. Definitely recommend them! Thank you for the good work much appreciated.

We drove from Pennsylvania to Cameron Missouri. While driving, our headlights began to flicker. We found Midwest Auto and Diesel Repair, LLC through a Google search. We stopped by just after they opened and explained that we were from out of town and did not have an appointment. I requested they check the battery and alternator, which would be the most likely cause of our problem. They took our car back within 10 minutes and after a 10 minute wait, they found no problem and suggested that it may be a loose ground wire. We will have our home dealership followup. When it came time to pay, they did not charge us. Great customer service. If we were from this area, they would be our new mechanic. Thank you Midwest Auto and Diesel Repair, LLC.

Recently while hauling a load of trailers I started experiencing fuel issues and noted that I had a leak in the fuel tank. Brad was quick at helping me unhook from my load, assess the problem and get me back on the road!! This truck repair place demonstrated great honesty and integrity and I know who I will be calling if I am in the area and ever need assistance again!

I was traveling near this area on a Sunday and had issues with a tire. First thing Monday morning I showed up at their door with no appointment. On my way to a job. They got me in quickly. Did a great job. At a very fair price. I was very happy with my experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone

We were bringing our street rod back to MN and we lost an alternator belt. We never have been in Cameron, and did not know where parts and service might be available, and it was also Saturday morning. Brad got us in the shop and had the car repaired in less than 45 minutes, and the bill was very fair. We could have been stranded, but these small town boys treated as we were local folk with friendly service and fair pricing! I would recommend them to anyone with vehicle troubles in the Cameron area.

I was driving my motor home from Dallas to Wisconsin. Just before reaching Kansas City I noticed that my front right tire was losing pressure. I have a portable compressor so I aired it back up to 100 PSI. I was having to stop about every 30 minutes to add air. I knew that there was a fairly large truck stop in Cameron, MO so kept applying air until I got there. The guys at Midwest Auto & Diesel Repair were fantastic. They worked me in and were able to find the defect quickly. I was able to get back on the road in about an hour. These guys saved my vacation. I can't say enough good about these guys...
