This was my first time visiting this location and I was nervous from the bad reviews, but everything went better than expected. I wasn't sure exactly what to do, so I wrote down the scale numbers and pulled forward. Turns out, you just have to wait for the guy in the booth to wave you on. I pulled forward and Nathan stopped what he was doing and waved me to where I needed to park and then started unloading my trailer immediately. I got out to help and he was very polite and friendly. We chatted for a bit while unloading and then I was on my way. I pulled around to the scales again to get the new weight and even there was an easy experience. He told me the before and after weights, counted out the money and gave me a receipt. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. 10/10
Ps. Take the entrance that's right off the road, not the one down the hill, that's the exit area.
"Dirty jobs" could do a show on them. Their backhoe was broke down. Two guys covered in grease was working on it . 4-5 guys was unloading trailers. 2-3 more was separating debris. Trucks and trailers was lined up down both sides of the road. Some waiting to unload some waiting to get weighed. They could use another acre of land. But they was doing the best they could with what they have. They did a good job of keeping the driveway clear of tire puncturing debris.. I wasn't expecting to make a fortune on my scraps and I was happy with the process. I'll go back.
Triple P does not seem to be very punctual this morning.. seems the owners get there when they want but the workers are punctual. No wonder they can’t keep anybody such a disappointment.
This place is not open tell 4pm! I took off work early to get there before 4pm and I pulled up at 3:48pm the person working there was putting the lock on the gate! I stopped beside the gate and asked him if they were closing for the day and he said yes. Not a good business practice. All I had was 3 large pieces of aluminum! Very disappointed!
Horrible experience I got $150 for a 2012 Nissan versa. They started RIPPING it apart before I even signed the title over or was told how much I was getting, I wouldn't have scrapped it here if that's all I got for it. That's shady. Will never come to this place and tell others not to come here. Total rip off and will be telling people NOT to support this place. Should have read the reviews on here.
Rude - no customer service skills. Offered 1/3 less than others - what a rip off. He said I didn't have to leave my aluminum there - it wouldn't make him sad. Just really rude for no reason. I left and went to the place in Springfield.
this place suks I took in seven dollars worth of scrap and they called the cops on me and boyfriend everytime we leave there we get pulled over . if there was a zero score that's what they deserve
They rip you off. Don't go there. I took at least 20 lbs of crushed aluminum cans and they only gave me $7.50. They give you a itemized receipt with nothing checked. No $ amount, nothing checked, and no weight indicated. I'm done going to these rip offs. Stay away.
This place tried to RIP me off on a cat. The guy got on the phone and was explaining my cats over the phone using descriptions as a softball and volleyball size. Didn’t look at numbers on the cat. I already knew the value of $1000 for these cats. Was offered $850 by one guy and I talked to a cat buyer in the area and he told me the value. I ended up going to my local scrap yard where I live and they gave me $895 for both of them. My advice if you are not a thief go around to multiple locations and stay the heck away from this rip off business. Do your research and pay attention to what they are doing and saying. I could prove I owned the car because I drove it there no reason for this. You bunch of rip offs. Good day
The people at this recycling company are nice to deal with and very fair on the way they determine the value of your metals. I've taken several item to them over the past five years or so and have always been satisfied with their service.
This place has a lot of bad reviews but my experience was just fine. I pulled up and asked what to do and was directed by a friendly guy behind the counter. They unloaded my stuff for me and handed me the cash. Simple as that.
Went there and practically got yelled at by everyone there for showing up a few minutes before close. Granted I know that’s aggravating, but come on.. Plus they rip you off any way they possibly can. I’ve gotten nearly double for the same amount of the exact same product elsewhere. Which is where I’ll be going from now on. This place is a joke, and yes, the lady running it is too.
They only pay short steel price if you have over 500 lb Springfield does not do that.. I've walked into McCoy's with a hundred pounds of short steel and get short steel price
We took in 9, 13 gallon bags full of cans and got $1.80. Usually this doesn't happen and we are very upset. Hopefully they will make it right. It was a female working and totally disregaurded the weight. We figured it out when we got home. It almost makes recycling more of a hassle. Not only that, but there hours are not posted correctly. I would definetly call before you arrive and watch the scales! And now that I Iook at the reciept, it says nothing under aluminum cans and dirty copper.
This place is a rip off. I went to a place in Springfield I was paid $13 for aluminum cans. I took twice the amount to this place, and they gave $8 and some change. Will return to Springfield, and will never recommend this place.
Sometimes they're closed when they're Suppose to be open.Besides that and there sometime's friendly scrape worker's.That will assist You with unloading most of the time If not to busy.and if they happen to be.Then suck it up remember your in a busy Scrapyard there's only two rule's and one you don't cross.#1 make your presence be known talk loud n clearly to ask something or trying to make a deal on buying something from them,#2 Do not be rude to them nor a Ass!and they'll treat you good.Remember it's a f*#king Scrapeyard for god's sake.
Just dropped off a washing machine both guys cussing at me. They didnt even give me a ticket for the weight. The man said ill just take a guess. Im a female never been there be4 didnt know how the process worked. I have never been cussed by men like that my entire life. I also ran over nails and glass to get out of their drive way
I’ve never done business with this place but after my experience with them today, I never will.
I was driving down Tracker (in front of their business) when their semi that they were backing into the yard from a street across Tracker all of a sudden decided to back out across Tracker causing me to slam on my brakes. When I called their office to complain I was informed I was driving too fast and I was the issue. I had my 5 month old in the car with me and shouldn’t have had to slam on the brakes if the driver had been paying attention. It’s obvious if I was slamming on the brakes that I was close enough the driver shouldn’t have proceeded to back out, when he hadn’t already started backing. If they treat people in person like they treated me on the phone I would never go to this business.
Would give it zero stars if I could. They damaged my trailer unnecessarily. My load was self-contained in an open top steel tank. They ignored my request to unload it using a chain on the lifting hooks of the tank. Instead, the dumbasses tried unsuccessfully to pick it up with their excavator jaws. When trying to grab the tank they used excessive down pressure and damaged the trailer. They did not compensate me for their stupidity. I suggest anyplace but here.
