First time I ever took scrap to them and will be the last. Probably my fault cause I allowed it to happen, however they could have absolutely implemented some sort of standard operating as a business. Pulled, and before my truck was in park oh, boys already sorting through what I got. Moving quick to get my buckets into there shop and test/inspect my scrap. Still haven’t been greeted asked what I have or how they could help me. He takes my load and start sorting my piles to his without any permission or ball park value or any information about why the value reflects what I have, just took it told me a girl would come to me in a minute and settle me up, (still blind to my value) the lady comes and takes me to the payout window and tells me my 4 - 5 gallon buckets of brass and stainless were worth a whopping $80… pushed the buttons on the register and handed me my money before I could even ask a question or choose to go else where with my material. Just fast and furious after doing a little more research, I know I had a more “clean” material there than what they gave me. Two thumbs down and donot recommend!
Above Standard Recycling lives up to their name. I went in for the first time today and Tony was very kind and helpful. I'm not very good at sorting copper and brass but Tony told me what to do for next time with some tips. This is the place I will be bringing my copper to for now on. Thank you for the great service and help.
This is the best place ever. Everyone is right, these are the nicest people ever. They helped us unload, they take electronics, batteries, appliances. TV's are a small fee, but it's better than wondering what to do with them.

Pretty new place all things considered, but it's the best recycling center you'll find in this area. Their growth as a company over the past few years has been cool to see, and they've never sacrificed
on friendliness while providing genuinely good service. The owner is a great person too, so you don't have to worry about who you're dealing with. Can't recommend them enough!

I was practically shocked at how friendly the staff here was. This is a stark contrast to other scrap yards in the area. They processed my scrap promptly, went well above and beyond with their customer service and friendliness, and offered a decent price for what I had brought.
I own an HVAC company and I take all of my scrap equipment and copper to ASR. It is easy to get in and out with cash in hand. The customer service has always been great. I won't take my scrap anywhere else.

So.... Despite all the wonderful reviews revolving around their electronics recycling, I think it's important to point out that this is a full fledged recycling center and they take everything you'd expect a recycling facility to take. The only restriction that they have is the size of their scale and that the offloading is done by hand. Basically if you're able to fit your items into one of their carts or you're able to carry it in and onto their scale then you're in business. Overall a great little set up they've got going on with some really nice people.
I had a great experience recycling random electronics and computers that had accumulated at my home over the years. I called ahead and the girl on the phone was so helpful and made the whole process simple. I drove from Johnson county and it was not a far drive at all. They were very professional and I would recommend everyone to recycle their electronics here.
