Presents historical facts well. Has oldest still standing covered bridge in Missouri

Had a great tour at this mill today. The guide was very knowledgable about the site and surrounding area. Such a neat slice of Americana.

What a cool place! The mill and the bridge are beautiful and the museum in the mill is fantastic! Very well laid out with lots of interesting information with pictures and diagrams of how it functioned. The superintendent gave us some great information and answered some questions. She was very passionate about what she does! It was a wonderful experience.

Good site with guided tours for a small fee. I really enjoyed the guide's enthusiasm and knowledge as well as walking across the covered bridge (my fourth out of four Missouri covered bridges!). Beautiful grounds include an easy out-and-back walking trail to a cemetery as well as multiple picnic tables.

Very pretty! Nice little store in the old mill with nice staff. They also have a state park cat named Flour who is very friendly. You should bring cash if you plan on visiting the store, as the card reader is prone to malfunctioning.

We enjoyed our visit. The young lady at the mill museum was very knowledgeable.

First time visiting a state park and Missouri and this one was wonderful! The site itself is gorgeous; it was open with trees and tons of picnic areas (tables and grills) and trashcans. There is a pit toilet (you've been warned) and a short trail that goes to the family cemetery. The Mill is very neat to explore and there is a ton of interpretation around the park to learn about it and the covered bridge. The covered bridge is open to walk on. You can go in the mill; the first and bottom floors are free to look around and there is a small gift shop offering a few souvenirs (pins, postcards, flour sack, mug, t-shirts). You can also pay for a guided tour of the other floors if you want to see more of the mills workings.

A beautiful old mill complimented by a large covered bridge. You can take tours of the mill and learn the history of the mill and the bridge. There's a nice park with an antique store nearby.

While traveling through we were staying at hotel that had a picture of the mill on the wall. I used google to reverse image search and find it. On a whim we decided to come out. 10/10. We had the most fun. We will definitely return when the baby is older but our 10 month old loved the cat on staff Flour. We made the hike up to see the cemetery which was cool! Definitely a good stop!

All under construction can’t even get to view the angles I got. Had to park a ways down past backhoes & construction parked in the view. Blocked off not to walk anywhere near where you want to go. Wanted to like this since the bridge is historic too. Building was closed at 2pm on a weekday. Muddy water and smelled bad. You walk to the bridge on foot only and it has wasps nests, spider webs, etc. not super taken care of to be full of rave reviews on here. The trails looked worth checking out and it’s free!

A beautiful park and the covered bridge is marvelous. We were unable to go inside the museum because it closes at 4:00 p.m. everyday. It is also being under construction right now. We found Paw paws here! Here!

This historic site was closed at the time of my visit, and it appears ground maintenance is underway. The site is well maintained and has a beautiful park attached to it with plenty of picnic tables and restrooms.

Google lists it as closed, and the mill itself is under construction as of March 2024. But people can still walk around the grounds a bit and look at the covered bridge and see the waterfall. We saw it in late winter/early spring so it's probably more scenic when things are green, and when all the construction fencing isn't up.

Great historic site with multiple levels to explore and learn about. The main mill house is an active museum when open, with various floors to see how it was used and how the water underneath helped the whole mill work. The covered bridge is a beautiful addition, and there is a geocache nearby. Also plenty of room for a picnic or BBQ in the lightly forested area in front of the mill. There is also a short hike up to the cemetery just past the parking lot. Just be careful careful around the water.

I went to see the covered bridge today 2/4/23 and it was beautiful. The mill was interesting too. I will definitely go back in the spring and summer.

Beautiful place. Thank you to the lady who opened the mill on this cold day so we could visit. And got to meet the resident kitty cat Flower.

Beautiful grist mill and an amazing covered bridge. Great to see they are restoring it for lots of people to see in the future. We have never seen a grist mill this big

Very nice area with picnic tables and shade provided by tall trees. The mill and the covered bridge are in excellent condition.

Missed seeing the mill, because it was closed for construction. But the area is very serene. And the bridge was an interesting experience.

Very pretty place, the mill is temporarily shutdown for construction. That made it hard to get full photos of the mill without the fencing. Several people were there enjoying the last of good fall weather. I'll be going back in the spring.

Fantastic stop on our Fall Trip. Great parking, beautiful trees, and picnic areas with BBQ areas. The mill is gorgeous with lots of history. The lower level has a view of the water going through the mill which was fascinating. Nice water fall from the mill that has a nice sound. I could sit there at relax for a long time, like bring my hammock and nap long time. The covered bridge is lovely. Great spot for photography or family portraits. The trail at the back of the parking lot was short but steep and goes to the family cemetery. It was a wonderful outing for the kids and adults. Only downfall was one of the outhouses was horrible smelling but the newer one was not bad at all. I recommend stopping here. It was a really nice drive to get there as well.

This is a great place to visit, picnic and just relax for a bit. Some construction kept us out of the mill itself but overall a great way to spend the afternoon and evening.
