What clients say about Flag Springs Shooting Range in Washburn (MO)

I hesitate to rate this 5 stars because it's a hidden gem amongst shooting ranges. I've never had to wait for a lane to open. 3 lanes. 25, 50, and 100 yard. The paper targets are free but you may wish to bring some thumb tracks and leave them there if you can spare them. Clean lanes, friendly people, nothing not to love.

In the middle of no where on a dirt road. Crazy that you park across the road and walk over. Small but nice that it is a free outdoor range.

25,50 and 100 yard targets on a primitive range with 3 shooting benches. Got busy while we were shooting and some folks don't have any range safety knowledge... Be alert.

Place is remote but Missouri Department of Parks and Conservation did a great job. Thank you. First time there and had a great time. Few things to know: 1) Place is remote in unpaved roads. No cell service for me. Let loved ones know when you go and when you will be back for your safety. If you accidentally shot yourself, no one will know because you will most likely be the only one at the range. No bathrooms except the cover of bushes. 2) Only park that had shotgun range within 3 hours radius for me. Have not shot my Saiga 12 for over 6 years because no place would allow me to shoot a shotgun. BE AN ADULT AND PICK UP YOUR SHELLS TO KEEP IT CLEAN. There are trash cans. If you are coming from the east on FR 2230, go past the rifle and handgun range about 200 yards and go up the hill on the road on the right. If you are coming from west, to there will be bunch of wood brown postings and message board on left at the bottom of the hill. Take road up hill and go winding for about 300 yards till you hit a fork in the road with a sign that says shotgun range on left. 3) Bring a staple gun or metal flat tacks put out up your paper targets. They are kind enough to provide targets in the drawers with white knob on brown post. Again throw away your targets and water bottles. Wish they would provide bins to throw your spent casings to recycle or keep help keep it clean. 4) Dirt pile helps to sight in scope and get you in the vicinity, till you are close enough to put them on paper targets to see. Good luck and have fun!

Great range, but hard to access like others have mentioned. Miles Mountain Rd and FR1020 are both gated coming from the south. The best way we found to get there is on FR2230 coming from the east.

Takes a sec to get there, but I like being able to practice with my guns without a lot if people around.

Good Range with 25, 50, and 75 yard targets. Usually quiet qith little to no other shooters, and it's well maintained.

Good place to shoot but don't trust Google Maps it'll take you an hour out of your way to a gate that's locked and you have to turn around and drive another hour to get to it ask people locally where it is if you can't find it

Nobody there to get in the way. Trying to site in scope. Couldn't as scope wouldn't adjust at all, and Wal-Mart won't exchange it!!!
