Called on the phone and asked if they had parts for a car I'm working on. They checked their system and let me know that they did not. Very courteous and helpful over the phone.
I have not walked a salvage yard in a long time... Newer cars are inventoried but I was looking for an 80s Dodge part. I think it's there but went when it was too hot outside to dig. I will be back.
Was a great experience with my wife,daughter, and granddaughter looking and finding the parts that my 15 year old granddaughter needed for her first truck.

However, driving lanes in the salvage area is filled with various types of debris. It's nothing to it if you just take your time to navigate it. We will be returning for more.
I had contacted this place of business for a part for my car and they said they had that part and proceeding to take all of my card information over the phone like I was paying for this part and told me that they would contact me later that day when they got the part removed &read to pick up so I waited until the next day and never had heard anything from them so I contacted them and they proceeded to inform me that they didn't have the part I needed so I asked them why they would tell me they had the part & take my card information when they didn't have the part and was told that's how they have always done business !!!! LOL SO LOOK OUT I WOULD NOT EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS!!!
Cars used to be organized by make, but are now in no particular order, making it take a long time to find anything. They also tend to ask a lot for small items that are unlikely to be bought by anyone else. UPDATE: Pricing has been better lately due to staff changes.
Customer service was lacking in the "friendly" department, employees weren't too excited to buy used catalytic converter parts, but did at a much lower cost than for what we were wanting. Will try another salvage yard with hopefully better service and offers. FYI: if it's raining or the ground is wet, the "parking lot/driveway" will be one big mud puddle. Bring your dirty work boots!
Not a lot of time spent here, but I was treated well. Nice people. Had what I needed and loaded it up for me. I'll go here again if needed in the future.
Went and found a hood we wanted. Came back to see how much it was and apparently they didn’t care too much for our money because we spent a good while trying to find someone because they locked up. Went back to the truck to wait and see if someone would come back, saw someone open and close the door so we went back and pounded on the door and still no response. Also called and got no response. Get a freaking receptionist or something. Poor service.
Very unprofessional staff. Bought a used engine from these guys . Came from Arkansas with cash in hand. Picked the engine up took it to my mechanic and got rejected immediately due to all the freeze plugs popped on the engine . Then drove over 3 hours to return the engine and apon arrival the guys came out yelling in my face and to a service manager at Ford dealership saying "JUST GET NEW FREEZE PLUGS" but they obviously didn't understand the point of a freeze plug . Then they continue with their childish rant by adding ."this motor isn't our motor" "we didn't sale you this engine" then after showing proof of my purchase they started to blame my mechanic stating he didn't know what he was doing because he didn't save my air compressor? After this I have heard enough demanded a refund and ran from this place ! Word of advice to any one buying a motor from these shady people. DONT!
This place really has gone down hill they are way over priced on the little stuff and employes are rude and not helpfull at all i use to like going there but the way i was treated on my last visit i will not be going back there again
The gentleman behind the desk was on top of his game.. He was professional as well as being able to tell me right where I would find the part I was looking for and...he made me a deal on a couple extra parts too. So when I need to pull my own parts, this is where you'll find me.
The part was ordered and was as expected but the office man was an hour late on pick up day. The mechanics got us it of there by phoning the other yard and processing my payment but due to the delay I was running behind.
Very nice to work with. They have a large boneyard with many older vehicles, I appreciated the time to look around and make a shopping list. I will return to this Purdy location more often in the future. NOTE:. There are several locations for Payless Salvage. This review is specific for the Purdy, MO location, although I did first contact the Arkansas location. They kindly and efficiently directed me to call the staff at Purdy.
