I recently took my car to Ronnie’s Automotive, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Ronnie and his team were super professional, friendly, and upfront about everything. They explained what was wrong in simple terms, gave me a fair price, and got the job done fast.
Had an issue with an alternator while at cruising the coast. They were extremely helpful in getting us back cruising. Awesome shop with fantastic people. Highly recommend.
I have a 2008 Mustang Bullitt, which I am very picky about when it comes to having anyone service since there were only around 2000 produced and I love my car. I had a whine coming from the rear end that got worse under acceleration, but lessened when you took your foot off the accelerator. Being new to Mississippi, I asked around to find the best mechanic, and two other local shops recommended Ronnie’s Automotive in Gulfport after they diagnosed the car and either weren’t able to do the work or fit me in their schedule soon. I stopped in Ronnie’s and met Kristen, the office manager, and after telling her about the issue with the car, she went and brought the mechanic up that specializes in drivelines and transmissions, Jody, to talk with me personally. I explained the problem and Jody gave me the same diagnosis as the other shops and said he would be able to fit me in quickly. I dropped the car off and Jody did the work within a week since parts had to be ordered, and was very friendly and knowledgeable when explaining what he found upon doing the work. He replaced the differential bearing set and rear axle bearings and once I picked up the car it drove and sounded great, just like new. Kristen, Ronnie, Jody, and the staff I spoke to were all friendly and professional every time I called or stopped in, and I will be using Ronnie’s Automotive again if needed and I would highly recommend them. Kristen and Jody cared for my car like it was theirs, so if you have a classic or collector car I would not hesitate to use them.

The folks that works there are very nice and helpful. I had to have my truck towed and they were very reasonable on charging to store it. Only $20 a day! Scott and Christian were some of the kindest folks you'll ever want to meet.
This business should focus solely on towing, as their customer service and services beyond oil changes have been disappointing. After my car was recommended to this location for inspection following a minor accident, I encountered issues. Despite receiving my car twice, it still doesn't provide a smooth ride. When I requested tire balancing, they informed me I'd have to wait a full week for a service that should have been done promptly. This has been a frustrating experience, and their service quality needs improvement.

While I didn't require any tow services on this occasion, I did have the pleasure of interacting with one of their drivers, and I can confidently vouch for their friendly and courteous demeanor.

Wonderful shop. Honest work done well. It's tough to find a good and honest mechanic. You get both here. They really do care. I no longer take my vehicle anywhere else.

A customer of mine brought their car to Ronnie's Automotive after having engine issues. For months the mechanics there told my customer that his 2014 Chevy Cruze without a doubt needed a new engine. We eventually picked the car up ourselves only to find that it was the turbo that had blown a seal and oil was being drawn into the engine causing all of the problems. We were able to determine this within two days of taking possession of our vehicle, swapped out the turbo and now have the car running issue free when Ronnie's had the car for months and still thought it was a bad motor. I would not recommend their services.
Ronnie and his crew have been repairing all 4 of our vehicles, plus my son's and my mom's cars since 2003! I'm very satisfied with all the service I've received over the years and reasonable price and turn around time.
Very nice folks. Took care of a relative's car after an accident. Very accommodating with retrieving personal items and helping us understand what the next steps of the process were. I highly recommend them!
Love them. I go to them for ALL of my vehicle needs. They always do a good job and are reasonable. Wont pull one over on you. Honest guys.
Update: It's the end of 2021 now and these guys are still the best. I have a Chevy Cruze Diesel and this is the only shop I trust to work on my car. My car is the unicorn of cars in this area but Ronnie's still manages a way to fix it when everyone else tells me they can't.
I came in after the auto parts store had found multiple different codes for my check engine light. They ran a diagnostic and it turned out that I didn’t have to replace anything. They very easily could have run up a bill on me and I would not have known the difference! Jody was thorough and honest. I will be back!
Well Ronnie automotive is a very old automotive company. It could desperately use a makeover along with some customer service skills. The fee they quoted was just to doggone outrageous. To be fair someone said they might be cheaper than their competitors. So Ronnie's Automotive did not delivered. I found another place to put my tires on; balance and rotate them.
Car was stolen Christmas Eve, recovered by Ronnie’s. By the time I was informed my vehicle was there, it had been 11 days. I live less than a mile from this place and no contact from anyone during that time. Pick up my vehicle with my normal car note and $556 for storage fees. $800+ spent to retrieve a car that was stolen on Christmas Eve, in COVID environment, low work hours and living off my savings. Oh and to add to it, “he does not accept credit cards for towing fees, only cash.” They’re really in this for the money, good luck if your vehicle ever gets towed to this place.
Awesome people. My daughter took her newborn to have some lab tests and her radiator cracked while she was 45 miles from home. She was close to Ronnie's. They sent a wrecker and put her ahead of others to get her back on the road. Good people and a very fair price I might add.
The only place I take my vehicles to. They have the best prices and best service in town. I can't say thanks enough for how many times they have come through for me in a jam. Vehicle problems? Take it to Ronnies. You'll never regret it.
Driven to cruisin the coast from Ohio for the past 6 yrs in cars 50+ years old. Great to know Ronnies is there when we have issues and will be treated to fast service and more than fair prices. A regular stop even if we don’t break something!

Ronnie is my hero, picking up my truck before Hurricane Nate's storm surge had the potential to make it a total loss. So much more affordable than I expected and right before they were closing and needing to get home to take care of their own homes and families.
