I go there occasionally to check for cheap items and they never really have good deals. I'd recommend Dirt Cheap over this place. I know it's not on a corporate level but when you're looking for lawn equipment or furniture, you can get brand new items in stores for the same price they offer for theirs and some is used!
In salvage world in gulfport when you go in there no one Assist you they just at front only they don't come and ask you if u need any help they just Sitting there I just walk out back I go to buy a refrigerator I will take myself some where else.
I went on to see what they had to offer. It looked like there were many options to buy things a t a major dis ount bit no garuntees. I certainly understand that as it is a store that helps to sell items that have been returned or packaging may have been damaged.
It was a good experience.
A lot of discounts for good quality products offer furniture, tools, flooring, everyday house appliances, shingles, fencing, stones, showers, bed mattresses, and entertainment centers. These guys have it all.
Would recommend to check this place out I found some nice things (as a out of towner) but if I lived in town I would be a regular. They have reasonable prices on necessary items.
I have question for anyone who's bought a mattress from this place. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.......So we purchased a Dreamcloud mattress from here for $500. For about the first month it seemed pretty comfortable, until it wasn't. The sides are now horribly sagging. The most comfortable spot on the whole mattress is a very small area dead in the middle of the mattress but it's about a 2 day hike.....uphill, to get to it. The thing is, my husband built the platform for it which was essentially a "floating bed" platform. At first I felt like maybe there wasn't enough support under the heavy mattress and that's why it was sagging but then he reinforced the support. Fast forward to now I can't take it anymore. I wake up so sore every single morning and I'm now in search of a new mattress. Google tells me that "Dreamcloud" is rated as the number 1 preferred mattress with the specs that I'm looking for. So here's the question...... Has anyone else had bad luck with a mattress you purchased from Salvage World?? Could the reason for them being so cheap compared to everywhere else that sells them be because they're "lemons"? Ours came in the box and we followed the directions on removing it from the box so I honestly didn't think that anything could have been wrong with it when we bought it but if it's the number 1 most preferred brand, something went wrong somewhere and I'm just trying to keep from buying another torture device!! Please help, any suggestions, advice or insight on other people's experience with purchasing a mattress from this place is greatly appreciated.
Worst store on the planet!!! Sales associates have no clue what they are doing, manager is rude and half the crap that you get from there is broke, damaged, JUNK, period!! Don't expect an honest answer from any of the employees, they don't know the policies..... Just the worst experience ever!!! Good luck if you choose to shop in this junkyard!!!!
Edit: They didn’t honor the 10% since the flooring I bought was already marked down . The flooring is priced decent so I still bought it .

I have been checking the store on Facebook. Eagerly wanting to go there and check it out. I was so sure that I would find one or two bargains. I do not recommend it personally. It was either heavily used and dirty or new and overpriced. For example; a dining room set similar to one from Ashley's was priced higher than Ashley's. Tools were dirty, Lamp fixtures were broken and needed repair only $5-$10 less than the original sales in the stores. Not really bargains
You won't always find what you are looking for and some prices out of line, but you will find great deals. It's a surplus store, so consider everything will be damaged. If you are a creative and a repurpose king or queen, like me and my wife, you must check this out.
You never know what’s gonna work and whether it’s a hassle to bring it back and then have to convince the people that you bought it from that it never worked. Too much of a chance for me.
Everything is dusty, most everything is ugly, many items are heavily damaged(dented or scraped), and nothing is discounted enough to make up for it. Save yourself the trouble and go to goodwill, big lots, or even just Facebook marketplace. Anything is better than here.
Very misleading from what there posting on fb. And don't dare ask about a price of an item. No customer service at all. Had I not pushed a little bit more that would have been the end of the conversation. Instead of helping or greeting people they just sit in a chair and tell you they cant leave the front. Unbelievably lazy and would not negotiate at all!!! 1st time there and will be my last time there!!!
Lots of decent items to choose from but the prices leave something to be desired. Some items are discounted at most %25 of retail. Some products in their beat up and weathered boxes are ACTUAL retail. If I was in the market for a certain power tool, I wouldnt risk buying one with missing parts or questionable condition because for a little more, I could buy it at a reputable retailer and have the full protection of a warranty and return window. Both times I visited, I was the only shopper in the store which speaks for itself. Lots of items to see but not worth digging due to prices. Hard pass for bargain hunters.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! Bought a mattress a couple days ago. My whole body hurts from it being too firm. I laid on several mattresses but couldn’t get the right feel because all the mattresses were piled up on top of one another. Called the Manager and they can’t take back mattresses. I just wanted to exchange. She was VERY RUDE!! I’m telling all my friends. THIS STORE IS A RIP OFF!!
I've had the worst experience with salvage world of Gulfport other roofers in the area get a better pricing than me, and my shingles have been wrong by the loader, and costing me more money than if I'd have bought the singles twice over
And the assisting manager arguing with me on top of that instead of discussing it or not letting me talk. I didn't ask for anything just wanted to make sure it didn't keep happening!!! But because of her defense mode kicking in, instead of management mode. Well u know. I'm here instead
Do your due diligence. I purchased a couch from this establishment and it was broke in a month and there was no solution for them to assist in fixing it. I even asked could they send someone out to look at it. I didn’t need a refund, just for them to make it right. It was right around the time of the “return policy” being up. That was the response giving for their raggedy items they sell. I don’t usually do reviews but I looked and searched for reviews and couldn’t find anything. The boards on the couch are cheaply made. Please be cautious.

I wanted to buy a coffee maker. the box was seal. I ask to tested on a table , when I turn it on it started to spray water all over . I tried tree more different boxes they were all seal but used ,dirty and defective, smelling like Burt coffee, despite that they were price as new and one was price $80 but still spraying hot water when connected . Water was running on the test table all over the electrical cables and plugs .I had not one person helping me, even though cashiers and personal was looking at me struggle . I got loud and asked for someone to give me paper towels finally some older person a hand me a roll of brown paper .. please check your items before buying anything. Or you will be scam. The items are overpriced, malfunctioning and costumer service is terrible.
Looking for discounted furniture for an apartment. This place was open on a Sunday which is cool. They had a bunch of stuff. The prices seemed okay but not amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
This used to be a favorite store, they lived up to their motto and had tons of "steals". I was very disappointed on my last visit to see how expensive everything was. Lots of employees and only a single customer leaving as I arrived. That customer returned as I left to complain that an item had rung up for more than the sticker price.
Overpriced. Rude. Unimpressed. We drove an hour to get some plywood and flooring, when we arrived I asked about the plywood. They said that it was stored off site and they didn’t have time to go with us to get it. I explained that we had driven an hour to come get a good bit of plywood…she didn’t care. I then asked if we could purchase some of their flooring, she originally said no because they didn’t want to load it (even though there were three people sitting in rolling chairs that could have done something while getting paid) I explained that we would load it ourselves, she eventually slowly walked back and said we could load it ourselves before sitting back down in her rolling chair. We ended up not buying anything because we couldn’t find anything not damaged and it was the same price as getting it new.
Went in looking for a small dinette set and found the perfect one! Very good condition and the color was perfect. Friendly staff members and they even have a delivery guy! The only con to our experience was the leasing option. Decided to use the Acima lease agreement to help alleviate the cost and pay it off in 12 months, and after reviewing our lease agreement realized it was a huge mistake. We ended up paying an extra $80 in fees; plus it would have been over $1,400 for a $600 table had I not checked the lease agreement to see that it was nothing like I thought it would be. So be cautious if you choose to use that option.
Nothing here is cheap, look up the prices before buying lol and some of those items were extremely SALVAGED lol they did have some cute stuff it was just not the deal I was looking for

Great selection. Walked in, was greeted immediately and they offered to help me if I needed anything. I picked out the chase couch I wanted, it was a good price and seems to be good quality. Told them what I wanted, they checked me out and loaded it into our truck. The whole thing probably took 30 minutes. Great service, good prices.
So many great deals, great staff, clean floors and good customer service. Parking lot is very spacious, clean and very well lit at night as well. Based on the name, I was not expecting the high quality of goods inside, especially the furniture, super great selection, great spacing between appliances and furniture. Very helpful and patient employees as well.
The prices weren't great, in my opinion. I felt like for the quality of products and how much I had to dig to find stuff they should have been much better priced. Some of the baby stuff looked like death traps. If you're going to sell baby stuff that's missing pieces which could make it dangerous then you shouldn't sell baby stuff at all. Especially not close to original price.
I've shopped at this store a couple of dozen times and my true experiences have been probably divided into half good and half bad. Sometimes its a steal, sometimes it's a deal. Sometimes I feel like I've been robbed and other times I feel like I made a deal. Everyone who buys used tools or such should be aware of the risk involved, but almost every other thing I have bought I had to return. So just be careful.
