I purchased a used engine from them. They were upfront, honest and kept me informed, via text messages throughout the entire process. The engine arrived, it was very clean, and removed with care. No harnesses were cut. Not even one connector end was broke. The engine even had its turbo still attached. Unheard of! Thank you Southern Import Specialist. Great job.

Apparently I couldn’t test driver the car I wanted because they assumed that I didnt have insurance and the money to drive the vehicle. This place is one of the most unprofessional dealerships I’ve ever went too. If you ever considered buying from them, do yourself a favor and go to a different dealership that will respect you and your time.
Called about a nissan maxima they have the lady I talk to told me the transmission was acting up but the vehicle can still be driven if it wasn't for that or if they fixed it I would have bought it I appreciate the lady being honest with me about the vehicle hate I had to pass it up that's the only thing that was in my price range

I drive a very old honda civic. Most of the time, it's great, but every 6 months or so, something will go wrong and I'll have to bring it into the shop. I dread my interactions with the mechanics and the ultimate financial damage. A month or so ago, I had to bring my car in to get a new alternator. With the new part and the labor to put it in, it would have cost me much more than I could afford. I remembered a friend of mine raving about Southern Import Specialist so I gave them a call to see if there was anything they could do. The guy I spoke with, Nema, immediately paused what he was doing to try to find me an alternator for cheaper (a tough task because of the age of my car). In just two hours he called me back saying he found one and was overnighting it to the shop where my car was at to have them put it in. He even said he would have gotten the part in there as well if we were in the same city! With his help, the cost of this whole situation was cut in HALF. Plus, he took over communicating with the shop so all I had to do was wait for their call when it was ready. Thanks Southern Import Specialist! Hopefully that does the trick for a while, but next time I need some car help, I'll definitely be calling Nema.
My air conditioner in my VW Jetta has been blowing hot air for 2 years. I’ve brought it to multiple car shops in new orleans and paid $100 here, $400 there, etc. all for “fixes” that didn’t do anything. Found Southern Import Specialist through a friend. Not only did they bring my car to multiple mechanics to determine the actual issue, order the correct parts and fix the issue at the root cause, but they threw in new brake pads, an oil change and a full detail all for free. This place is the first car place that hasn’t made me feel like i’m being scammed. Honestly changed my entire view of getting my car worked on. Go here and ask for Nema. You will not regret.
We give this company a -5 STAR Review, We ordered a BMW wheel from them on Feb. 6,2019 should have been Shipped out on Fed. 7, was never Shipped out, and they didn't called to confirm the credit card number, until we called on Feb.14 to find out what day the wheel will arrive to us in Houston. We gave the card number again and let them know how Important this order was and that we needed it out to us ASAP and we would pay Next Day Shipping or 2 Day if needed, But it needed to be To US by Monday. We told that it could not be sent out Thursday because UPS had already picked up, but would be sent out by Friday. Well come Monday, I call to get the tracking number and found that the wheel was not shipped out and again was told that it would be end of the Day Monday Feb. 18. Now a Feb. 19 and Wheel has still not been Shipped and We had to cancel order and Have to deal With a Angry customer and have problems in keeping all stores this customer owns ALL BECAUSE THE BAD SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM SOUTHERN IMPORT SPECIALIST !!!! Don't Use Them!!!

Very rude sales specialist. Was on hold for 15 mins until someone picked up. The 'specialist' had an attitude off the bat and the moment I stated $2200 was more than I was willing to pay for a rebuildable core, they promptly hung up.
