Poor communication, bad service and very overpriced. I don’t recommend this business

I should have heeded the warnings I received about this business. We requested a quote for a welding job and were explicitly told it would not exceed $1,000. However, we were shocked when the final bill came to nearly $2,500, with labor alone costing $1,500. The communication was incredibly poor throughout the process. given the drastic price difference, it feels like their lack of transparency is intentional.

My car died right in my driveway. With all it's electronics, it became locked, as in anti theft, parking break engaged. Called to get a quote from Kiln to Gulfport. I explained that it can't even get in neutral & was dead. Talked to JR & told him I'd call back when I found out from the dealership in Gulfport if I could bring it in & trade it for a new one! Called back JR asked, "Are ya gettin' a new car?" ( That just showed me that he remembered our conversation from earlier!) He repeated the exact same price as earlier & told me to just text my address & he'd send his guy out! A young fella, (can't remember his name :( ) showed up & got right to it! He hooked up the battery, but the electronics were wacky! He tried everything he could to release the parking break! He even slid under the car, only to discover it's sealed with a guard! So he basically had to drag it with chains up on the truck bed! He secured it excellently & delivered it with no issues whatsoever! I would use BiggBoyStatus Towing again!

I had a great experience in a bad situation. I'm an OTR semi 🚛 driver that happened to break down on I 10 over the Labor Day weekend. I couldn't run the truck and was sitting on the side of the road sweating like crazy. My company told me the tow was an hour away, they were wrong. Tyler showed up in 20 minutes did his thing, hooked me up on the lift and got me to the truck stop. I imagined the price would've been much higher than it actually was. Outstanding job Tyler and BiggBoy!!!!

These guys should be your last call. They will try to charge you double if not more than the other local companies. Save your money and call someone else.

Called and asked for a quote and the guy was very rude and just hung up on me. It’s a very unprofessional business. Edit: When my niece went to pick up her car he told her to tell me I was a “P.O.S.” because I left an honest review of my experience.

I would HIGHLY not recommend these people. VERY unprofessional. They will hang up on u when u ask questions. And tell u one price and CHARGE u way more then that price. I could literally go on and on about this place and not in one good way. DEFINITELY NOT A PLACE I WOULD RECOMMEND!!!!

I lost everything just about in hurricane helene in perry, fl. i had an emergency on side of I-10 and the amount of help and kindness this father and son team showed is absolutely amazing. thank you guys for everything, this company showed me today that there is still great people around that aren’t just in it for the money! highly recommend them!!

Last Friday was a hectic day made worse when I had a flat driving down Hwy 603. I barely made it to the next convenience store and it was basically on the rim. The timing was perfect for me bc as I was calling my son for help these great guys at Bigg Boy Status just happened to show up at the same store and offered to help me. They made my day! My tire was changed in no time and they were so friendly. They will have my business if I’m ever in need again and I will recommend them to everyone! It’s so nice to know there are still friendly, caring people out there! Thanks again guys!

A big thank you to Clarence for fixing our flat on the side of the highway. The truck got here in within 10 minutes. Tire was fixed within another 5-10 minutes. Really appreciate y’all and stay safe!

Super fast service 😃 barely an HOUR for the driver to arrive. He hooked it up quickly & we were on our way! He was professional, friendly & accommodating to my co-driver and I. We had zero issues. I couldn’t t be happier. (( price is unknown, I’m a company driver )) We will DEFINITELY use them again.

Very bad experience!! There is the old guy with name J.R or somthing like that with his son doing chiting, dirty business!! They towed my trailer from the Loves near by and when I called them to pay over the phone and send my driver around 4 pm they said it's too late to come and pu the trailer bc have to done with paperworks and.. ATENTION they will accept only cash! green bills! no zelle no EFS or anything only cash! Towing $950+6 days storege $85 per day (J.R gave me on the phone) when I ask where and how my driver can get $1500 from ATM he said he doesn't care. My driver has been rolling around all day from ATM to ATM trying to get that amount and when he bring it they said $1500 isn't enough bc there is another fees like Fuel Surcharge + towing tax and my driver spend another day to bring cash for more than $2000 They gave us hard purposely!! and they building and changing the bill how they like it. Stay away from this company! Hopelly IRS will close them!

Wish I could rate the company at 0 stars! The company will give you prices and up them after they accidentally forget about the tow!!! Multiple people talked to the girl in the office and was given a price and told our workers truck would be delivered same day and 2 days later it wasn’t and now the price was much higher! Get it together if you want local business.

Called to get a price on moving a shed. I thought his quote was a little hi and went in another direction. The price was given promptly, and the person I spoke to was very professional. I have no hang ups w/ Big Boy Status and may inquire about their services in the future if I have a need. The owner is very engaged about his business as I am about mine and I believe that is a good thing for the community.

They’re scammers!!!They said me one price when whey towed me they charge me double prices.I have all pictures what they did and we will work with my lawyer!Don’t call this BiggBoystatus Towing.Came two same truck and worked one of them but they charged double .They saw my English not good I was deceived

Charged my company nearly $900 for a jump start on an RV in downtown New Orleans after making me wait nearly 3 hours for them to show up. Their website says they serve New Orleans but they're in an entirely different state and charged me for the mileage to come to New Orleans from Mississippi. They didn't tell me how much the service was until after they already did it which is completely unethical. Don't believe these hustlers.

Tyler and BiggBoy Status Towing did an exceptional job! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is in need of towing/recovery. But only if you want it done right!! So anyways, on EASTER SUNDAY- this company responded with just 1 phone call, came on time, did as said for quoted price. Nothing changed one bit, and did what they said they was going to do. Got my company excavator unstuck in 30 mins!! I will definitely know who to call when I need someone with the equipment to do any type of job! These guys are the real deal. Call them now!

Horrible experience DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They went back on their word and refused to accept credit card they originally agreed upon. Held my trailer hostage. Owner JR refused to talk to me had his office lady tell me he changed his mind about credit card. Blocked phone number so did not receive my phone calls in the evening. Called Sherriff to enter complaint and help with situation and was told we were not the first or second company to call with this matter. However they can not make them accept credit card. When we finally got payment to them it was a little bit more than the estimate due to a few added parts. When you have an issue with their productivity they begin to be very rude and arguementative. After work completed and leaving their shop driver had issues getting out and went in ditch. JR and crew got us out of ditch for a fee and wouldnt you know it they accepted the credit card. Their shop is not in a commercial area and very difficult to get big trucks and trailers in and out of their facility. BEWARE!!!

Truck broke down on I10, all 6 of us stranded. Called BiggBoy, not only did they arrive within 30 minutes, they arranged and paid for a taxi to take us home. (Added to our bill of course) Tow guy was awesome! The price including taxi was 1/2 what I thought it would be. Best experience being stranded I've ever had.

I was hauling relief to lousiana when my fuel pump went out on my C4500 hauler. I had 25k worth the supplies on a 40 foot gooseneck trailer. I was referred to JR and his son Tyler came to rescue me and my co driver and service dog. Talk about a darn good driver that kid drove us back to their shop got us a uber and got us to a rental car to get us back to south florida. This company went above and beyond all expectations to accomadate us and take care of us. I cant say enough how pleased I am with the service and the attention rendered. I left everything at their shop and will come back when they have me up and going. Over 10 hours from home I found a family business that treated me like family.

I can tell u they know what there doing for sure wife drove halfway off bridge i was sure we was losing sons truck but we didn't thanks to big boy status good family nice and was quick to tell me it isn't going off bridge cool dude met him and his wife before and he got it and well worth it gotta say thank u to u and your wife kid great job son made it football practice and work next day truck is fine look at pictures

Very very happy with my choice of towing company. They went above and beyond to make my experience the best. Had a tough job with my truck being without a transmission and was in a very muddy and tight spot. Made it look like child's play. Friendly,fairly pricing and genuine customer service. Quick service too might I add. If you need a towing service you will not be sorry you chose them.. Would recommend to any and everyone.

Great place to use for any towing needs! Customer service was beyond excellent. Was half the price of any competitor. Save your time calling anyone else. Towed my pontoon boat and trailer off a bridge in less than 30 minutes! Thanks Tyler and JR!

We are a very large company. We had a truck break down and called this company to come out and fix a tire that had broke us down. We had to have the wheel replaced and hub. They said they could fix it but would be in the am. They towed us with out us giving permission to long story short the bill was over $1100 and I did not have a problem paying that but they wanted to charge me another 5% just for use a credit card I refused to pay the extra 5% and said we would mail them a check instead of paying the 5% they said he would not release the truck until the bill was paid. the owner was not even man enough to get on the phone and talk with us and would not let our driver leave until the bill was paid. I will tell everyone I know about this company and hope you will not use them. If I could rate them lower than a one it would be a negitive number Please never use this company.
