Without caring, quality is impossible, and failing to serve customers well means they will take their money elsewhere. Every time you drop the ball, you're essentially handing customers to your competitors. And handed us over is just what they did. I took my car to North Bay Auto in Diamondhead on Monday for an estimate and was greeted with a dismissive rude receptionist/front desk lady. We were requesting a quote for struts and brakes. A job we knew would be costly but had hoped the close convenience to my work would be perfect for dropping off and picking up. The rude lady interrupted and cut my 85 year old grandfather off from speaking not once but twice when he was asking questions.
We promptly left and called In and Out in Kiln. I spoke with Katie, wonderfully polite and helpful. She gave me an over the phone quote whereas an in person quote at North Bay couldn't be bothered to be given. Took my car to In and Out this morning. I am extremely pleased with their work, professionalism and customer service. Customer Service got us in their door. We will continue to use In and Out and will never return to North Bay- completely 100% due to their lack of basic common courtesy and respect for their potential customers.
I'm new to the state. Working an hour from home and had a flat on the way to my wife's truck with a flat....
The gentlemen stopped what he was doing, clearly very busy at closing. Beaded my spare for me , that was so old, and I made it to my destination.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommend - honest and friendly. I was told by the dealership that I needed brake pads replaced. Dropped car off, fully expecting brake work to be done. Upon arriving to pick up my vehicle, I was informed that brake pads were absolutely not needed - brakes looked good and there was plenty of time before I would need to replace anything or need any work done on the brakes. Needless to say, I was blown away with their honesty and customer service. Thank you North Bay Auto!!!
They absolute are true angels! My son had an emergency yesterday, next my brake lights go completely out, and it was starting to get dark and maybe 30mins before they closed for the day. They got me back on the road in less than 5mins with smiles on their faces. When I tell you I will recommend this service to anyone I can! Thank you guys! If I even did, why in the world would I write a name that is not even mine? Like seriously? Unbelievable. Yes I did complain. A YEAR AGO. You like to delete reviews to make it look like you’re just always doing a good job. Mistakes are ok. The amount of lies you wrote is mind blowing. We never had any car work before we came to this auto shop. Never had anyone install anything! But thank you for apologizing.

I went here July 13th, 2023 to get my car 360 checked meaning to check the whole car for problems. I addressed the main concern was the A/C. They serviced the A/C which blew cold air on level 4 but any other level it just blew air. That only lasted TWO days. (when I picked it up it was already on level 4 so they had to have known it didn’t run cold on any other level) I no longer had cold air running not on level 1 nor through level 4. Also when I picked it up, my car started having a “click click click” noise that NEVER happened before. I come back 2 weeks later, July 27th, 2023. I was not expecting to have to pay again cause they basically did nothing the first time I came. So I drop it off and go in let them know about the A/C again and about the “click click click” noise. I come back maybe 2 hours later & they said they put zipties on my compressor cause apparently the guy who changed it broke it. ZIPTIES… But my car ran fine when I went to the other mechanic. So I’m already pissed at this point and say nothing & let them run my card for the second time for doing nothing and for ZIPTIES. I go in my car and the “click click click” noise is still there. I go back inside to ask them if they did anything. The man has a rude attitude (probably cause I asked them why didn’t they check it when I asked for a 360 check) and he says “oh yeah that’s in the dash and i’m not taking that out” so I take my lost TWICE… I CAME HERE BECAUSE THEY HAD GOOD REVIEWS, BUT THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. They charge labor which I understand, but then in the “labor description” it’s short. And I never told them my name nor did they ask & they assumed it was “Kim” because I was Asian. My name is not Kim. RACIST. Sadly Disappointed. Please go somewhere else where they truly care about your concerns about your car!
This place has great customer service. My battery randomly died at a nearby gas station on my way to Nola. The mechanic walked over with the equipment and diagnosed the issue. I purchased a battery and was on my way rather quickly. Three words that describe this place: integrity, friendly service, convenience. I would absolutely return, and recommend them if you live in the area.
Absolutely wonderful experience!!! Did not try to up charge or sell me anything I didn’t need. Prices were very fair, courteous and pleasant staff. Had a brake job and oil change…..couldn’t be happier with the service and prices!
I was far from home when I broke down on the interstate and had my car towed here. The customer service was top notch and the friendly staff got me back on the road in no time! Thanx again, everyone!
This crook changed a battery in my car remote, but it did not work. He told me to take it to toyota. Before he touched the remote it worked sporadically but after it wouldn’t work at all! I took the remote to the key shop in Slidell. When they opened the remote it was broken in three places and they showed it to me. The prongs holding the battery in place were broken off and there was another piece broken off completely loose. The key shop advised e to notify the business that replaced my battery that they broke the remote and should pay for a replacement. I called Bill at this business and told him the situation but he denied fault. (Of course!) he claimed the remote was broken before he replaced the battery. Well why would a reputable business charge me $22.00 to replace a battery in a BROKEN remote???
Note: the Slidell key shop and AutoZone only charge $7.55 and $7.95 respectively. But they both admit if the inside of a remote was in pieces they would NOT replace the battery! They would recommend replacing the remote.
Super helpful staff, very friendly. Helped me when I was desperately needing some repairs on my car, they were able to fit me in and get things taken care of promptly. Will definitely be a life long customer. Thank you all for your help.
We needed to run a diagnostic on our car during our road trip to see why the check engine light was on. Not only were they able to do that within 15 min but they did it free when we realized we didn’t need an immediate repair! Great and honest mechanics! Thank you Sophie and Bill!
I was recently passing through the area and discovered low tire pressure and found these folks nearby. I read the reviews and headed that way. A very helpful woman helped us and took the tire off and replaced a stem valve stem cheap. Before I could tell my husband about the friendly reviews I read, he told me they were super nice and helpful. I’m glad we stopped here with these honest people.
My girlfriend and my sister were recently traveling with my pick up truck from Arizona to Florida and then the middle of the night they broke down with an alternator problem. They got a room and laid out for the night when the shop opened the next morning they had the truck in and out in a matter of an hour or so had my ladies back on the road safe and sound I can’t thank you enough five stars! Very fair and honest. My 05 Sentra has 117K and I was prepared to replace quite a bit of the suspension components due to normal wear and tear. They looked everything over and in the end recommended not replacing some things I was sure would need it. Kept me informed throughout the process. First time customer but will not be the last time. So glad I found an honest shop right here in DH.

I must say I loath getting my oil changed somewhere just as much as I hate going to get my tags renewed or the DMV. Feel like an all day event. I lived here for years and never attempted to use our auto service in town. But yesterday I finally did and I was not disappointed. I normally get my services at the Ford dealership and I don’t know if it’s because I’m female or they treat everyone like they have locus at the dealership but North Bay Auto is the place to go. They were so kind to me and my daughter. I came in the middle of the day on a Friday. I told them if they don’t have time it was fine. They took my car and changed the oil within 30 mins. I was shocked! The guy who changed my oil told me whoever did it last time didn’t tighten my drain plug. He made sure it was right this time and my experience overall was superb! I will return every time for their service. They treated me like they knew me and I’m so grateful.
They put a new throttle body on my Impala and it runs like a dream now and they did it in 2 days! They are friendly and helpful. I will definitely use them again for my car.
I don't if it was the area or season, but I took my vehicle there for an oil change and a day later my vehicle was swarming with spiders. However, the service guys are very pleasant and definitely provide a great service and when they say your vehicle is going to be ready by a certain time, they mean it.
After spending over $200 at Gene’s Tire Center in Picayune to have an oil leak fixed on a 2009 Camry, the problem was still not fixed.
Took it back to Gene’s just a few days later and was told now it was something else that needed to be fixed and they couldn’t do it. At this point, not only was was oil still leaking, but now it was pouring out.
Like I should’ve done to begin with, I contacted Bill at North Bay Auto and explained the situation to him. He immediately told me to bring it in and they would take care of whatever was going on and get it done right. Not only did Bill and the staff at North Bay Auto take pictures for me to provide proof that the original problem I paid to have fixed never got fixed, they also took the time to explain to me, in detail, exactly what was going on and how they would fix it.
The best part? They got the car in immediately and had it fixed and ready to go within just a few hours for HALF the price of Gene’s Tire Center in Picayune.
Thank you, Bill and staff at North Bay Auto, for treating me right, getting to the bottom of what was going on, charging a very fair price and offering the best customer service around. You gained a new customer today and I plan on telling everyone I know to give North Bay Auto a try the next time you need you and your car to be treated RIGHT!
Finding genuine caring helpful people are few and far between these days! These guys went above and beyond for us. Our car broke down on our drive home to South Florida from North Texas on I10 near this shop. We were towed there 6 hours before they opened and took a nap in the car until then, the second they opened they were out there ready to help. Turned out to be a major transmission issue these guys helped us all day long weighing out all the different options we had to get home. They gave us real and genuine advice with our safety clearly their concern regardless if that meant sending us elsewhere. We ended up renting a Uhaul from them and getting a car transport from a different Uhaul nearby. They ran a bunch of test and check and triple checked that we were hooked up properly after the other Uhaul had messed up our hookup. Thank you so much Bill and team for being genuine and getting us home safely!
Very nice people. I've never been a customer before, but that's going to change. One of the tires on my car was low on air so I simply asked if I could put air in the tire. But they had me pull my car in the shop and they put air in the tire and they also checked the air in the other tires. They were very nice and caring. They didn't have to do that and it definitely WAS NOT expected of them. I just got a overall good vibe about the shop. Just with the very little inter action with the people there I got the feeling that they're very professional.
My serpentine belt broke off and knocked off another belt while driving down the interstate, leaving me broke down between towns. I ended up calling North Bay Auto, not knowing where they quite were as I needed a place for the tow truck to go. The guy on the phone said he'd have a look at it and 2 hours later I was there and awaiting the diagnosis of my vehicle. He was extremely helpful and friendly, and I appreciate that he was able to put on new belts and also let me know about my power steering pump. It was less than I expected it to be as well, another plus. Highly recommended, a great place to get your vehicle fixed up!
My truck had issues during a long roadtrip from Houston to Florida as we passed through Diamondhead and we stopped here to get help. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Diagnosed as nothing more than low fluids, topped them off and sent us on our way. And they would not let me pay for their services! It is hard to find great help like this these days!
