Really disappointed, the part was fine, but the communication was not there. The part that I got had a different connector than the part that I needed. When I asked about the return or exchange policy (before leaving the property), I was told that I need to examine the product before paying. The problem is that they would not remove the part without me paying first, and customers are not allowed to go back and look at the parts before they are removed. Therefore, I must pay before I can see it, and yet it's my responsibility to check the product before paying. I was then told that I should have texted photos of my connector to the office phone before ordering.(Why am I supposed to assume that the office phone is a cell phone rather than a landline?) I was also told that next time I need to have my VIN number available so that they can make sure that it's the right part before I pay. The problem with that is that I had told them over the phone that I have the VIN number if they need it, and I was told that it wasn't necessary. When I showed them the photo of the connecter on my wire harness, they said, "I have no idea what that is."
It was a really confusing and frustrating situation, and I feel like I was tricked into paying for an un-returnable part before I was allowed to see it. In hindsight, I know that I should have been more proactive about questioning before I paid, but I was not. I will gladly admit that part is my fault.
Long story short, the product is probably good quality, but I will never know because it's not the right product for my car, and I can't afford to buy the correct product right now because I just spent all that money on an incorrect product that I'm not able to return or exchange.
If you order here, be VERY thorough with making sure that you and the staff member are on the same page about the product, because there is no leeway or grace in a miscommunication or lack of communication, and it's always the customer's fault.
I had an appointment (between 2-3pm) and a two hour drive one way. I was 10 minutes late, and the car I was scheduled to look at was driving off the lot sold as I pulled in. I saw other reviews about this, and apparently, the people get a kick out of selling vehicles from underneath you. The lady smiled when I asked if that was the car I was scheduled to see. Don't waste your time with these losers and find a better place to buy a vehicle.
Bought a car from them as a work beater and 2 months into driving it the trailing arm rusted away from the frame, now it's not able to be driven as it's not safe, didn't know you could sell a car with 50 percent of the frame rusted out and gone.
Found the parts I have been looking for as I return my 1994 Silverado to original condition.
Also remembered back to the 80's when I raced a Ford falcon.
Saw your tow truck on 94 today near Maple Grove almost run a truck off the road and then aggressively follow the truck recklessly until they turned onto 494. Not great advertising for the company. Not smart driving by the tow driver.
Extremely helpful waited for me because they were going to be closed and I needed the parts to get around so I want to thank them very much for all their help and the parts were great thank you.
*update* in response to the "owners" reply, that is a complete lie about my number being in that phone. A complete lie. Your employee has serious issues*
I was referred here by a friend to get a rear end for my f350 so I called and left a message to see if they had one. The next day I got a call back saying they don't have nothing for me there and to not call there again and they hung up. I didn't know what i did to make them say that so a few days later I went there in person and at first they were going to help me look at a rear end that they got but then one of them asked if I was the guy who called so I said yes and then they all stopped and long story short, an employee there claims I had an affair with his wife in 2017 so his boss, the owner, would not sell me a rear end because of the absurd accusation the employee said about me. I couldn't believe it. Luckily there is another junkyard called Larry's Auto just a few miles away that was able to help me. I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. Totally unprofessional and rude. All based on hear say.
I went here and bought two tires and woke up this morning and one is flat. I called to tell them so they can come fix it or whatever they need to do. They tell me that I have to bring it to them, even after I tell them that I have no other vehicles and still they tell me there's nothing they can do. FYI this shows that they do not Guarantee their service. I'm so angry and upset.
Great prices the gentlemen are always upfront about what needs to be fixed and the prices are budget friendly. Always have great service here and the staff are great. They are friendly and very hard workers.
The gentleman at the yard were very friendly and helpful to what I needed and how to get to the certain vehicle I needed to pull parts from. They do have a $20 minimum to use a credit or debit card so if it's a small or cheap part, I'd recommend bringing cash.
In the process of changing tires they cracked all my wheel rims. Suspect it was intentional. Unprofessional shady business. Make a deal and they change the price. Stay away.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. What a joke this place is. I called and asked if they had a part, they checked and said they do but would have to be taken off of the car. I said I would be there around 2:15, they said that was totally fine and would have it ready to go by then. I drive the half hour and arrive about 2:15, there’s a note on the door saying they will be back at 3. I was already annoyed, but hung out anyways until 3. Then 3:35 someone finally drove in. I told him who I was and he said we still have to take it off the car. Way to make the customer wait, clearly this place can’t give accurate times and they are super rude. I’ll never go back.
Excellent customer service. He brought me out to pull the part and he was very polite and helpful. The cost was cheap and its surprisingly organized and clean pursay for a junk yard
Wow, what horrible customer "service". Wonder how they stay in business when you can't return a part like every other salvage yard allows. On top of that being yelled at..... Icing on the cake. Do yourself a favor. Stay away.
i called for a part, they called right back and shipped it out the same day. i received it the next and it worked great! they even tested the part before they sent it like i asked them too. thank you clearwater auto
I bought a car from them and never had any problems with it had for 6 months and still runs and drives perfect I brought my car with 203,xxx miles and now have 215 xxx miles
I got the part I needed, but the service was HORRIBLE! Completely rude on the phone as well as when I came in. Was nothing but nice to the guy. Every question I had was met with a short response and rude attitude. Asked if they would swap a tire and they said they do. So I asked how long it would be before they could do mine and the guy said idk then went back to what he was doing then I asked for an actual time estimate and he again't said idk whenever they are done. I just left and called granite city tire and auto.
This place is disturbing. The people who work here are more then rude, unfriendly and very unpleasant to talk to on the phone and in even more in person. Watch out because they will charge high prices for used car parts that might not work and they do not take returns. Go figure. Why would they help the customer out??? Clearly their poor attitude explains it all. They just don't care.
Jerk who answered the phone. ASked about a part and had a list of prices from car-part a big auto exchange that lists the prices. They were the most expensive and when asked to deal a little on the part, they hung up the phone on me! Rude service, and the most expensive, not hard to make my choice to go elsewhere.
