It should be illegal to take another persons property simply because they don't have the income to get their property out! It should go into collections! The money they owe! And property returned! Or company has to put a lean on car once it sells they are paid! Something!
Our driver Nick was great… although I don’t like the huge price increases from the last time I used Twin Cities Towing. Was doubled. Tow went smoothly though! Good job Nick!!
Driver Chase hands down is one of the best drivers I have seen in awhile. Quick and professional and made sure our equipment was taken care of. He had one of our school buses loaded in record time with everything secured down.
After seeing what you do to people who have their vehicles stolen and charge the owner I decided to give you a one star change your damn policy and put the charge on the criminals!
Needed an inoperable RV towed and they were quick and courteous and had it towed about 80 miles on the same morning I called. Great driver and everyone zi talked to was polite.
Timely. Great communication. Got the car out of the ditch and towed to requested destination. Going off the road is an expensive adventure. Drive carefully.
This place is foul! If you’re ever in an accident whereas your car isn’t totaled, “Do Not Let Them Tow” your vehicle or you’ll regret it! All they care about is money and that’s exactly what they’ll get when they hook your car up to tow it. If I were stranded and I needed help, I wouldn’t call them, I would wait on another towing, this is how much this company suck!
So far all they've done is tow my car. But it was filled with stuff that I was moving and new speakers, amps and suspension parts. I'm betting they give me a hard time about getting my belongings. They can keep the car. 2011 VW Passat Sportwagen for their troubles. I'll edit this if necessary. Never allowed me to get my stuff over $2000 ik parts
Wanted to share that this company is amazing. Was in my 1st accident and driver Mark Hamer was so helpful and efficient. He helped me figure out what would work for me and my insurance company. He did a wonderful job.
Obviously loyal customers mean nothing. I have used this company 10 times in the past. Had a tire come off of my truck and called them to help. They said it would be early the next day. After calling twice and getting pushed around i was forced to call another company and they were there in an hour. I will never call them for help again.
I had to get a personal tow at 1am from a dead street in Woodbury and I see these guys everyday on the way too work, So I made a call for tow and they said it'd be an hour or more because of police calls at that hour... I waited and they showed up an hour or so later on. The driver was a cool guy and went way beyond what I expected for a "third shift" tow truck driver, I paid cash and had a great experience. I think the tow truck company gets a lot of hate from peoples already bad situations/moods from their fresh accidents and so on. I got this company saved in speed dial from now on.
My vehicle was towed unexpectedly when it broke down on the shoulder of the highway. After finding out where it was towed I was told had closed for the night, they stated like it just closed not closed hours beforehand (closed even before my car was towed.) I was also not informed of the hours (only 12-2 on weekends vs 8:30-5:00 on weekdays) on Google it says 24 hours so it is safe to assume long hours. So now I have a even larger fee for what I believe was a unjust tow (which I know that isn't their fault but it is still unjust and will be contesting it)
Go with another towing service if you need it to be quick. I called four hours in advanced and I set up a time. 40 minutes past the scheduled time and no phone call was made to me. I called back and was told that it would take "however long the driver needs to drop off their current car" because they were assisting with a crash. Called another place instead and they came within 30 minutes.
Again, if you are in a rush, go with another place, as this company seems more focused on their own contracts and traffic accidents rather than folks who are stranded.
They are also pricier compared to other places. I highly suggest avoiding this towing service.
They were surprisingly helpful and friendly, so much so that, big man at the front desk went out and let us check to see if certain items were in there, and it was cold and snowey as all hell outside, big thank to you big guy!! And then the following day was a pretty African American woman and she was a pleasure to laugh and deal with...I'm sure at $1200
00 thier now more motivated to help you get the vehicle out to were as at $280(this is the starting amount owed 1st day)their likely more inclined to let er sit another day or 2 and let it add up a bit more. Either way appreciate the good folks down at ol Twin City Recovery:)
Horrible horrible place and people. My car was impounded there by police and I went there with the registered owner of the vehicle and because she didn't have a title due to it being a bounded title they would not allow me to get my belongings which continent mine and my daughters clothes and important papers. They gave me a copy of the police report which states the owners name and they still wouldn't allow me to get my things. She had a valid i.d and documents from the DMV also in her name and they still kept my things. People have no compassion and even though they knew she was the owner they kept my things.
I instructed the tow truck driver to tow my vehicle less than a mile to a local body shop that I know the owner of. Instead he towed it to their "IMPOUND" lot. When the body shop told me the car was not at their location I went to them to get my vehicle. They would not release it without paying CASH three times the amount the tow should have been to the location I instructed him to take it to. I asked the driver why he did this and his response was the owner of the company - Renee - told him to. The only option to get it to the body shop that I instructed them to tow it to in the first place is to pay them an inflated amount again to get it there. Appears this is a well crafted scam and Renee doesn't seem to care about any reputation they might have. She was very rude and only cared her outrageous price even though they were in error. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!!!!
Considering the reason I ended up going to the Oakdale location was not pleasant - due to a car crash, my car was towed there while I was taken to ER for x-rays.
The next day, a good friend of mine took me over to this location to settle up the cost of having it towed from the scene of the accident, storage charges per day and towing fees to tow my car to my house in St Paul.
The whole time, both the site dispatcher and the driver were professional, prompt and courteous.
My mom had her car towed here until the insurance company could come look at it. My brother got into an accident in her car and all of the change in the cup holder was thrown about the car. My mom went to get her valuables from the car and someone stole all the change except for the pennies! I would assume it was an employee unless people are just randomly hoping the fence and going in cars looking for items. My mom didn’t want to complain but i was more than willing to make this review.
Unbelievably TERRIBLE Service and mannerisms from Tara. My car was stolen/crashed and was placed here. I have two small children and needed their car seats out of my car. I called ahead, asked what I needed, and was told to bring the Application to Title, my Insurance information, and a valid ID. I worked with my insurance company and my dealership since I had only bought the car two weeks prior. This took 2 hours to get. I then drove from Elk River, MN to Oakdale, MN, and brought all documentation, only to be told by Tara that she was unable to locate my car on my insurance forms. I took a 2nd look, and showed her what she missed. She then told me that since there was no VIN # on the forms, it made the document invalid. I told her I could provide the VIN #, to which she replied that she already knows what the # is so I don't need to tell her, the documents need to. She also told me I needed a seal on the Title request that I was not told prior to coming. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME TO PROVIDE PROOF THAT MY CAR IS IN YOUR LOT!?? My ID shows my name, my insurance for my vehicle shows my name as the owner, the Title request shows my name as the owner. I broke down in tears asking for help. I just needed my children's car seats. I asked if I could have the police officer that assisted me the day prior help get my personal belongings, and she said law enforcement can not help me. I left in complete distress with NOT A SINGLE OUNCE OF EMPATHY from Tara. My car was not repossessed, it was stolen. This woman is the worst. Just kept telling me to call the owner with questions repeatedly.
Good customer service from Jon H #82 who helped me this morning. Very nice and positive attitude. Very accommodating and I felt like he actually wanted to help which is something you dont get often from towing services. Well at least for me. Most are grouchy and they seem to hate their jobs. Horrible. Unethical staff. My car was stolen and retrieve. Sent to the towing company at 8pm and they charged me for two nights as it hit 12am. 8pm to 12am is the same night! They say it's two calendar days so they are changing me $247.17 ! Wow. This is straight up unethical. They want everything in cash so that they don't have to pay lots of taxes on it. Need to bring your driver's license, title, and insurance.
Worst people ever. I was in an accident, local PD had my car brought there. My insurance called the next day to move my car to a body shop, was told I had to sign a release. Went to sign the release, was treated like I was trying to steal a car. Showed my license, my current insurance card with the Vin# and my name on it, was told I needed more proof to prove the car was mine. Wentr home, got the tabs letter from the state, with my name and VIN#, was told great, now we need the declaration page of your auto insurance... WHAT? I am just trying to move my car to a different place, have it towed out. A sign on their wall states no insurance needed to tow out of there. I mentioned that and she said your car doesn't fall under that. Making it up as they go along. This company is a POS. I will never allow them to touch another one of my vehicles for any reason, chances are they will hold onto it as long as the can to get storage fees
