Tom read my poor review and very professionally reached out to me to see if he could make things right. He got my car in immediately and looked things over to correct any issues.
I was too quick to post a review while frustrated and should have reached out to him first.
I'm from South Dakota and we were traveling through to go to a wedding in Wisconsin. I started having car issues and pulled into Tom's. I was greeted right away and even though they were busy, Tom had us in and out within fifteen minutes. Great service, friendly, and knowledgeable!!
Brought in my vehicle to replace the AC unit. They messed with wires that were hooked up to my auto start. Once I received my vehicle back my auto start did not work. What amazes me is that Tom himself blamed the incident on me. On top of that, my back up camera and head unit does not work either. I will make certain I never come back. I suggest going to a honest mechanic shop, because this one isn’t.
My husband dropped off his car Thursday night, it's now 6:40p.m Friday night. Not a call yet. Now closed for the weekend. . No rental car. No sorry. And another missed day of work. It would have been nice to let him know it couldn't be fixed , so he could have have gotten it in to another place to get fix....ed. He already had it here and spent at the lest $399 - $500
They got me in and did the repairs very quickly. I thought the problem was a somewhat expensive issue, but it turned out to be a less expensive one. They were honest with me and didn't charge for the more expensive issue. Their honesty says a lot to me.
I was traveling and had a serpentine belt break caused by a idler pulley that froze up It was Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM They got me right in and back on the road I highly recommend Tom's service They care about customers
Very reputable honest and gets your vehicle in and out right away and doesn't just add parts he seeks the problem and addresses it to the owner and then takes care of your needs very professionally ...

I had an extremely positive experience with Tom's Service. I became stranded near Benson, MN on a trip about 4 hours from home with brake issues that prevented me from driving the car. I called 3 other shops in the area who all said they were too busy to help me. Tom was very busy but said he would be willing to take a look. When I got to the shop, they diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes. Unfortunately because of my less common car, the parts wouldn't be able to come until the next day. Tom helped me find a place to stay the night and even offered to help me get there since my car was out of commission. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. They got me on my way quickly and the fix was successful. I wish I lived closer so I could always have my car serviced here.
I was 190 miles from home. After I called them they found me a towing service and worked on my car right away. Was back on the road in a very short period.
Very polite and hardworking team I was passing through on my way to work in northern MN and had tire issues. The team here got me back on the road quickly and the pricing was great. Huge thank you to Tom and his team for the help.
I had a good experience with Tom. Nice but straightforward guy, gave him $20 to look at my car and see what was wrong with it. He gave me the rundown, future advice, and answered all the questions I had. I didn't actually need him to do any work on my vehicle but I'll definitely be taking it to him when that inevitable time comes.
A gentlemen scanned my computer (no trouble codes were shown). Tom and the gentlemen told me my MAF sensor was on backwards and that was the problem for loss of power in my car. They unplugged it. Charged $20. Nothing changed so I brought it to Monte Tire in Montevideo, Mn. They took the time to diagnose the problem. NO CHARGE. My catalytic converter was plugged. They replaced and all my power came back. My MAF sensor was installed the correct way. Not happy with this place.
We have our vehicles serviced at Tom's and have been very happy with their expertise and professionalism. Sometimes all we've needed is an oil change and other times we've had major issues that needed fixing. No matter what the situation, the results have been great. I highly recommend Tom's and will continue to use them for all my vehicle needs.
