Right when I'm about to go down to see my brother, my battery dies. My extended warranty hooked me up with these guys and that's when everything changed. Not only were they very knowledgeable about my vehicle that I was driving, they also helped confirm my suspicion of it being truly a dead battery and not an alternator or something else. The towing service i payed for was just to tow my vehicle back to my place for me to fix on my own. Little did I know I came across some very genuine and caring people. Guy payed for my battery and installed it himself in less than 15 minutes. All while him entrusting i pay him back at a later time. Words truly can't express how grateful I am for their services. I made it back to see my brother in a faster time than I expected! Thank you brother!
I had to get a tow when my car broke down today, and these guys were amazing! They showed up quicker than the ETA said and had me back home with my car sooner than I thought as well. They actually towed me out of some snow a couple years ago too, and they were also fantastic back then. :^) Overall, they're personable guys who provide great service, and I'll be coming back to them any time I end up needing to be towed again.
Says they're open 24/7, we inquired about an oil change and he goes "you need one that bad?" So we asked about the 24/7 part and he said only for towing. While that's understandable, he was rude from the start so a little confused if that's the customer service rep they're choosing!
These guys are literally top notch people, EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Guy goes above and beyond for his customers! Can't say enough good things about this tow company... Guy stepped in where other tow companies in the area stepped out. He got the job done with a roll off where other local companies quoted exaggerated quotes with ridiculous equipment (Rotators & Semi Tow), just for a simple transfer of a camper onto my flatbed. DEFINITELY MY GO TO TOW IN THE DULUTH MN AREA!!!!!

Jenna and Guy came out to the RV Park very promptly and changed a bad tire on our 5th wheel. We called them after hours (7pm) and they still came quickly. They were both so courteous and professional. The price was quite reasonable for the excellent service. Blessings to Guy and Jenna!!
We where on a road trip to Michigan when our truck blew a transmission cooler line. We called Jimmy's and they had us picked up in no time. They took us to the motel after showing us where their shop was. The next day they had us up and running. They are good honest people I would definitely go back.
August 2023. I'm from Canada and was on a road trip to Minneapolis for a concert with a friend. We were driving in the August heat at 9pm and my transmission blew half way from Duluth to Minneapolis. We tried calling every Minni towing company and were told no or received no answer. We were desperate and then tried basically every Duluth towing company, with many failed attempts. We saw "Jimmy's Nuts and Bolts" and in the midst of trying not to have a crying meltdown thought "oh that's a fun name... maybe Jimmy can help." Guy answered the phone and we explained our situation. Guy and Jenna said "sure no problem" and they were going to come help us. They were at the car races enjoying their evening, but were kind enough to come to our aid. Once they arrived they loaded up my car and brought us back to Duluth. We had a nice conversation and sharing stories about life and other things for the hour ride back to town. They brought us straight to the hotel we last minute had to book while on the road. By the time we arrived back to Duluth and got settled into our hotel it was around 2am. They even let us settle payment the next day and said "you girls had a long night we'll settle tomorrow." And were very kind on the pricing I thought it'd be way more (and take into consideration the conversion rate. $1 usd is $1.40 cad. So I was expecting quite extensive damage to my bank account (but to be fair I also don't know much about towing prices in general.. but considering they had to come all that way to get us I thought it was gonna be more than that). They were unbelievably kind and let me keep my car at their lot for a few days as I tried to figure out next steps of how am I gonna get my broken car all the way back to Canada. If it wasn't for them I think I would've had a complete breakdown. Especially since we weren't in our own country and were limited to the typical assistance and help that we could've set up being at home. Both of their kindness and generosity made this entire overwhelming and stressful experience so much better. I am very grateful for everything they did to assist me through the entire process. I cannot recommend them enough. When I came back home and was telling coworkers, friends, and family about this nightmare road trip, I couldn't praise Jimmy's enough. One of my coworkers daughters was going on a road trip to Minneapolis a week later and she even told her daughter "if something happens to your car call Jimmy's." So in conclusion, thank you so much to the both of you for all your help through everything. I cannot thank you enough. And I apologize for the 9 month wait on the review. But here it finally is haha. And my Impreza is working good. Got a new transmission and it's driving just fine. Although I'm skeptical when it comes to highway driving now.. I'm extra careful lol. Thank you so much guys :)
Jimmy's towing did an amazing job getting my family's old RV from a tight space. It took them 5 hours but never gave up. Truly incredible to watch it happen. Most affordable in town and will work with you if your on tight budget. I wouldn't suggest anywhere else other than Jimmy's nuts and bolts. Thanks guys!

My car died and they were the first towing company to pick up the phone. I was told they would look at my car the next day.
Thursday, two days later, I called to ask if they'd looked at it and was told not yet and they wouldn't be in for the weekend, only the mechanic is in on Fridays so they would look at my car on Monday. The next week rolled around and I waited for a call that didn't come so I called Wednesday, a week after I was told my car would be looked at and got their voicemail. I finally got a call the FOLLOWING Wednesday (two weeks later) saying they looked at my car and diagnosed the main issue and found some other things that desperately needed to be done. I told them to go ahead and fix everything. Another week later I finally got my car back. It was $1,400+ for everything which feels like a lot but I don't know much about cars so it was paid. I was told when I got my car that, verbatim, "the mechanic procrastinated looking at it because he thought it was a transmission issue and he doesn't like working on transmissions." I took it home and noticed my gas tank was POURING gas from below. I had filled the tank right after getting it back the first time and it was empty when I got it back another week and a half later. They at least towed it the second time for free; however, I was told it would be towed the next day and they didn't actually come get it until two days later. Of course the gas leak "wasn't anything they did" because they apparently didn't drop the tank to replace the fuel pump (original issue) but instead went through the back seat (even though they also replaced the tank straps?). The gas tank definitely did not have a hole before they kept my car for 4 weeks. So I paid another $580. $2,000 in and I waited for 5 weeks to get my car back when I was initially told it would be looked at the day after they towed it the first time.
If they were honest about the timeline that their schedule allowed, or the mechanic actually bothered to at least look at it to figure out if it was a transmission issue or not, or were professional in any way, I would probably recommend this company to others. But as it stands: over-charging, "procrastinating" and claiming they didn't cause the hole in my tank, when it's pretty clear they did considering my car sat in their lot for a month, I would not recommend their services to anyone.
Jimmys Nuts & Bolts deserves more stars than 5. I am greatful for this auto business with compassion and INTEGRITY.

They were there with a tow truck asap. Got my vehicle in right away that next day The mechanic stayed late until the job was completed and they brought my vehicle to my home that night on Jenna's BIRTHDAY .

Spare was flat. I tried filling it was gasoline and setting it off in hopes to expand the tire from the explosion... It pretty much just caught my car on fire. Thankfully was able to get the flames out. Gave in and called these guys. They showed up, helped seat the tire and got me going.
Be sure to call Jimmy's first! He was awesome. We had a very unusual situation... pulling a trailer out of the snow and moving it into the worst parking lot in Duluth that was not salted or cleaned, on a hill (of course). He worked like a trooper and we all helped to get it done! We so appreciate the prompt service.
Great experience. I had them put in an alternator for me and it went bad in a couple months not there fault, just a bad alternator. They had it under warranty and got a new one put in immediately. Great service and trustworthy guys. Highly recommend.
I was stuck waiting over 40 minutes from Dukes towing in 96 degree heat (quoted 20-30 minutes) when I cancelled that and called Jimmy's. Guy (driver) was over to me in under 10 minutes and provided 5 star service throughout! Thanks!!
The folks at Jimmy's are wonderful! I got in a fender bender and had to get my car towed, and they were so kind and polite. They even gave me a deal to have them tow my car back to my house a few miles away. Also, they had a car on their lot almost identical to mine and offered to sell it to me for cheap so I have the parts I need to fix my car. Highly recommend Jimmy's!!
Steven went above and beyond exceptional service to take care of me and my vehicle when my truck broke. I rode in the cab to drop off the vehicle, but he first stopped at my work place so I could retrieve my phone. Then, when he heard I did not have a ride home, he offered to drop me off at my house. You don't see service like that very often these days!
My car was stuck in the mud and they came and pulled me out. They were quick and efficient. It was nice that a woman was the one who helped me. Being a small woman myself it put me at ease since it was late at night. Would definitely reccomend!
Steven with Jimmy's Towing was great! I scheduled roadside assistance through my Progressive App and got a call from Steven when he was about 15 minutes out. He showed concern for what was going on with my car. He also called me when my car arrived at the service place and reassured me that I had scheduled maintenance at a reputable business. Above and beyond service and super easy to work with! Hopefully don't need to use again, but would be my first choice if my car needs a tow again!
I had some car troubles and was waiting for my insurance to send me a tow truck on the side of the highway when Stephen from Jimmys towing pulled over and asked if I had a tow on the way, and helped move traffic to the far lane of the highway so my car wasn’t hit. I learned that my insurance couldn’t get me a tow for another TWO HOURS. Stephen politely offered to take on the job himself and did a great job. Couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I was provided. I was also recommended a great auto shop and honestly this made the whole experience a whole lot easier for me. Would definitely recommend Jimmy’s towing, and props to Stephen for going above and beyond even when he didn’t have to.

These guys really helped me out when I needed a tow. We had just had a bad storm the other day and I was stuck waiting by a different service for 3 hours, finally canceled them and got in contact with this couple. They arrived in 15min. On a 30min ETA they Got to work right away and we were on our way in no time. Really friendly and made me feel cared for in a stressful situation.
Towing is SUPER expensive!!!! And they wanted us to follow them to the shop we wanted it dropped off at in HORRIBLE weather when my husbands car died. $179 for a tow from central entrance to 59th ave w. They finally allowed us to not have to follow them when I made a comment I didn't want to be driving around in the horrible weather. We had to pay with a card since we didn't have enough cash on us, and they charge an ADDITIONAL 4% just for having to pay with a card!!! Avoid towing from this company.
These guys were great! Locked my keys in my car. They showed up quickly and tried to unlock my car. Unfortunately, they couldn’t get it unlocked, so Guy drove me to my home (35 min away) so I could get my extra set of keys. Professional, friendly, and above and beyond service!
Jimmy is of an increasingly rare breed, honest as the day is long and wickedly smart in diagnosing problems and making repairs that last. His shop is tiny and you wouldn't even know it existed other than through word of mouth. As I recall, he's not in the phone book and does no advertising. He has 1 or 2 employees and that's it. The place is always insanely busy, and I'd imagine they turn away work. I do know that he specializes in certain vehicles, so I'm actually only able to bring him 2 of our cars. Otherwise, I'd gladly give him all of my business, and it's quite a lot with our family's oversized fleet of modern cars and classics. Overall, I am extremely happy with this gentleman and have found him to be top notch, reliable, honest, friendly, and just a great mechanic.
