Lynn answered and she was the most helpful person that you could find. She told me what I needed. What to do? She saved me a trip to go to the deputy register.

Lynn is such a sweetheart. She was so helpful and explained the reason my car was picked up. Got the car out even tho it was past close. No one likes the impound lot- let’s be real. But this experience was as positive as it could
I called to ask I if they were the ones that towed my business truck and they said yes. I asked them for the address to go the next day and take out and they start yelling at me with no reason. They said that was none of my business, in order for me to go and pay the towing I need to know the address. This people aren’t even professional, this are the ones government should be watching and take a look at their illegal business or weird stuff they do in order to get money. They are not even respectful and I will make sure BBB knows about this situation.
This place pulled my GMC on 3/19/2025 and my license plates light end up broken but they tried tell me it was tape on it and I know it don’t have no tape on my truck period I just buy it ; but they never have to worry about me doing business with them ever again. $395 and they still don’t put in my out my place. They park the front but the back is not park

Lyn was working the front desk and she was the most helpful and friendly person I’ve worked with at a towing service. We got there right before close and she stayed open late for us and even gave us a ride to get cash from the gas station nearby. She was amazing! I hope the company recognizes her skills and compassion for others.
What an absolute disgrace to charge $450 cash to pick up a vehicle - and to send us on a goose chase trying to find the lot because the company can’t bother to update their address online.
I hope both sides of your pillow are always too warm. I hope every restaurant meal you order is served incorrectly. I hope you always find crumbs when you climb into bed.
New staff, management and location. Lynn helped us make an unfortunate situation better, by being friendly, cheerful and amazing at what she does. Management even came out and helped air up my tires and Jumpstart my truck.

Called them in the morning (730am) got a quote for a tow for 19 miles. Rate was cheap so we gave them the pick up and drop off addresses, was told it would be a couple hours before they could get to it- understandable. I hadn't heard from them at 2pm, they told me they had "more important tows to deal with" and it would still be a couple more hours.
Call Midwest Towing out of Shakopee instead!
Took a friends car out of my driveway that was rgeistered and up to date on everything. So had no reason to tow. Happened over night between 8/17/24-8/18/24. the reason given behind towing was that the car was "half on the grass" i know it wasnt because i helped them park. PRS even tore up my yard to tow the car. I have picture proof.
This place is a mess and deserves to be shut down! I was targeted by neighbors in my neighborhood to have my guest car towed from the parking space whiles other tenants in the neighborhood park there. It says that tenants are not allow to park at the guest parking and never towed their car but when I follow the rules my car gets towed! I have to drive an hour to pick up the car and pay a big amount of money! And when I call to report they never show up.
There needs to be a zero star. They are the most evil evil people that you can come across. Who tows someone’s moving truck full of their stuff and on top of that talks to you like you’re an animal while you’re being vulnerable. They are rude and trash. Their business is horrible and someone needs to look at it and shut it down seriously
Truck and boat towed from my neighborhood without any “no overnight parking” signs displayed anywhere in the development. The tow driver hit a deer that also damaged my truck and the owner Kurk Nelson swore up and down that he would make it right and pay for damages. Now a month later he refuses to return any of my calls and I’m forced to make a claim on my own insurance or pay thousands of dollars out of my own pocket. I would give 0 out of 5 stars if I could.

We purchased a vehicle from his tow yard & when our local DMV was not okay with his paperwork, he completely blocked us & would not help us get the vehicle titled.

He shook my husband’s hand & told him he would help if the DMV gave us any issue & when we asked for help he blocked us & would not help us. We’re stuck with a truck we can not title & out the money we paid him for it. Be weary of Small businesses willing to harm other small businesses!! It shows their character. Would NOT buy from this tow lot!
Terrible business - they take cars that aren't violating any rules; rude, inconsiderate staff, cash only (no ATM nearby), inconvenient hours, shady practices (patrolling for cars to take without anybody asking them to), the whole nine yards. I'd give them zero stars if I could.
These guys were awesome. I ended up in a ditch during last nights snow storm. They were driving around looking for anyone needing help and pulled me out with ease and a great price. Super friendly and just wanting to help people out not gauge them with the cost or anything. I was in the ditch less than 15 min by the time they arrived! They will be my first call for sure
Am I upset that my car was towed? Yes. But I get it. Not the towing company’s fault- they’re just doing their job. The reason for the one star is that when I called to ask if my car was there, I asked if there was any additional info I’d need to come pick it up and the man on the phone said no. I got a ride to the place and upon entering I learned that it was CASH ONLY. The guy on the phone absolutely should have mentioned that. Had to get another ride to a gas station ATM and then back again. BE AWARE PAYMENT HAS TO BE IN EXACT CASH.
They towed a car of a neighbor of mine with their Children in the car. The driver backed up and grabbed the car without even checking. The driver took the car with children inside. Lucky they were able to stop the driver before they left the area. They are lucky to not of been charged with Kidnapping and Reckless Endangerment at a minimum.
People... They take cards. There's just an added 5% charge. Cash is, and always will be, king.
I got locked out of my car, with my phone inside, and got into my vehicle within 30 minutes of calling from a gas station phone.
I highly recommend using these guys for any emergency vehicle needs in Shakopee. The manager, Ryan, who came to help me, does incredible work and was super kind. Shout out to Kurk for also being super kind and understanding.
If you left a bad review because you got towed, maybe don't park in a towable spot... It's a much better option than tarnishing a business' name because you were put in a bad position. You don't have to like someone's personality. It's not "required" or guaranteed in the car business world. Get used to it.
Thank you guys so so much. You were a real-life saver on my road trip coming down from the cities. I know who I'm calling if I'm ever in a predicament near Shakopee again!
Absolutely terrible company. Tows cars in the middle of the night without a care in the world. Not concerned about the rules of your lease - they will tow for perceived slights at a moment's notice. They yell at you if you ask questions and escalate as an intimidation tactic. They will not tell you they are towing your car, they don't need to.
This is a cheap, scammy company owned by people who do not care about you and make up the rules as they go along. Unconscionable, unaffected cruelty, and there's nothing you can do about it, you're just out 400$. Good luck.
Got my car towed (yes it was my fault), but the people here are so rude and unfriendly. Tow truck driver laughed at me for getting my car towed. Lady inside is rude and won't actually give you any good information. Needed proof of ownership, but wouldn't let me go in my car to get it. After she finally does she then tells me it's cash only. How about get with the times, almost nobody carries over $200 cash on them anymore. Made me go wait on a dirt road inside of waiting inside the shop. Overall this place needs a complete overhaul and new staff. People do not deserve this treatment for mistakes.
I THOUGHT I WAS SCAMMED!
I didn't even want to click one star, this place is beyond horrible. My husband and I had our car towed out of our association lot at 10:30pm. He ran out because we didn't know what was happening - they said the car had been marked and it had been 24 hours, but we never saw the notice. Called the next morning, and they wouldn't identify their business, just answered as "Tow" and when we questioned who this was or where this was we were yelled at and told we needed to pay $200 cash, and to hand over the keys and title to the car if we wanted to retrieve any personal items out of the car. I then found their website and saw they don't even service the north metro where we are located, just the south metro, and there is no policy page or explanation of charges. We thought we were just totally scammed/ripped off. So, we talked to our local police station the next day who said as a company it is not legal to demand cash only. Also called another towing company who said they would NEVER request the keys to a car. The title yes, but not the keys. The kicker? Cars for Kids was scheduled to come and pick up the car for us that week as it had just broken down and is completely undrivable.
Now we got a legal notice since we have not claimed our car that if we don't pay (and again in CASH) then they will take legal action for the tow and storing charges. The cars value is $0, and we can't even drive it, so what are we supposed to do? I contacted the BBB this morning in hopes this company gets shut down.
Leaving a good review for a towing company is hard but this one deserves it! I have a company vehicle that got towed a couple times and they worked with me each time to make sure i got my vehicle back!!!

Which part of the experience would you like to know? The rudeness of the employees, or the fact that they're in the middle of nowhere on the other side of Shakopee, and only open until 5p, even if they stole your vehicle at 2p and you find out at 430p when you go to drive it, you will be charged for close to$400, because they will charge you for two days storage even tho you went to get it less than 24 hours after/the next morning(because they closed) (before you could get there-sad), oh... And they only take CASH! SHADY COMPANY! Put towing notice on our window AFTER they took it. We were at the SUV the night before it was towed.
Talk about your proverbial scammers. The place is littered with corruption. They own a piece of property in Lakeville that is often filled with semi trucks and in this very large lot there is 2 maybe 3 very small signs that say "paid parking after 5 pm" not a single informational sign regarding where to pay for the parking nor anything that states that if you don't pay that "you can and will be towed at your own expense". In my humble opinion this is theft, intimidation, bullying, swindling and about as unethical as it gets. The very direct purpose is to victimize, extort and swindle people out of their hard earned money. I have spoken with 20-25 people at different locations and every single 1 of them said the same thing...... that has to be illegal..... my friends truck was towed after 7 pm on a Thursday and I was there to pick it up by 1 pm on Friday approximately 14 hours later. The cost for the predatory tow was $1,460.00 and had to be paid in cash. So although the truck was there less than 12 hours they charged for 2 "calender days". I truly believe that I have seen exactly what is going to be the downfall of society.
Absolute scam of a company. 0 stars. They tow vehicles that don’t have any reason being towed. I was Towed for “snowbird” parking when it hadn’t snowed more than a dusting in 3 days and I hadn’t moved my car. No identification on the tow truck and no posted signs in the guest parking. Charged for 2 days of storage and I picked it up 12 hours after the incident. Had to bring EXACTLY $320 cash (most I’ve seen anywhere). They almost didn’t ask for proof of ownership - they just care about scamming people out of money. Reported to BBB. thanks for making the world a crappier place for everyone.
I feel like filing a lawsuit to get my $300 dollars back. My car was towed after 3 days where I live and now there’s a car that’s been there 4 doors. If the rule is 3 days this car should be gone. But it’s not. Why was my car the exception to the rule in this community? So I will be seeking the advise of an attorney and getting my money back from this company!
I am not disputing that I was parked where I was not suppose to be (painting my parking lot).
I was towed from Inver Grove Heights to Shakopee by PRS. When we called them, they were unprofessional and rude, the fee was $380 - cash only - this fee was the most expensive I found while inquiring (average around $180 to $200)!? I was informed that it was appointment only to releases your car. So, needing to get to work the next a.m. I had to find $380 cash, a ride to Shakopee to their extremely sketchy location, meet with a random person, give him all this cash and hope nothing bad happened in this remote location.
I set up an 8 a.m. appointment, had to call twice to verify with them and at no time the night before or in the morning did they ask my name or contact information for me. Consistent rude and unprofessional treatment with each exchange. Someone finally did show up to collect my money and release my car while he was in between tow jobs and I found it interesting he did not know how much I owed for the tow.
Why cash only how is that reported for tax purposes? Also, if you are taking people's lifelines (car) it would be nice if you had regular business hours and be there when you say you are. But they have all the power in the scenario and frankly, this towing company knows that and takes advantage of that. When a person is already frustrated and upset, being treated rudely and dismissed is not helpful. This business is run poorly and extremely disorganized by clearly they are making a huge profit!
Our court hasn't enforced the "no parking on the streets" rule in 5-6 years. They recently posted a warning sign stating that people parking on the grass would be towed but they still weren't enforcing the on street parking. Until today. Went from over a dozen cars parked on the street to zero, including my car that was parked on the street for 2 hours in front of my house while my girlfriend was visiting. Presumably others who were towed were visiting their families for Easter and are now scrambling to try and get their vehicles back.
I understand that technically street parking is against the rules but i haven't seen anyone get towed for it since our management changed half a decade ago. To start enforcing this rule the night before a holiday, i can't see it as anything but disgusting and predatory. I spoke with someone on the phone that confirmed they hadn't received specific orders from property management to tow today, so this was the decision of the towing company. Happy holiday to you too.
P. S. Looks like these guys have an "F" with the BBB. After reading the reviews here, on their Facebook page, and the BBB complaints, I'll be speaking to the management of our court on Monday to urge them to switch to a more ethical towing company.
Update: Went to pick up my car this morning and the man behind the counter was very rude and hostile to me. He especially did not like my review and chewed me out for it for over a minute. It would seem that the other reviews that mentioned this company having a nasty attitude were accurate.
Final update: I spoke to our management and apparently they were explicitly instructed not to tow around holidays and had ignored those instructions. They were also instructed only to tow vehicles between 10:00pm and Midnight and had violated those instructions as well. Our mobile home court no longer uses this towing service. Good riddance.
