Nice guys decent yard but seem to drop the ball sometimes and this seems to be the only way anything gets done is leaving a review so the owner gets on the employees at the yard
do not deal with this place, rude, and this is not my worst thing, the worst thing is that they say the part costs $150, I say great, I'm ready to pay, but they say no, you have to pay another $430 to remove the part for you, I'm ready to remove it myself, I don't need to remove it, I told them, and then they started behaving rudely, I just show no respect, as if I'm not there at all. They're not doing business, they're trying to get money out of you, considering that a lot is written here about how they offer terrible service and are scammers, I agree with everyone who writes this. don't waste your time and save your money
If you want to save money, this is the place to go! You won’t regret it. Customer service is a solid 10/10, very helpful and professional. I’d personally recommend this place to anyone I know.
Called 2 days ago to get a wiper transmission for a friend. Was told they would call me when it's pulled the next day. Did not receive a call so I called to check the status and they have no order placed and the part was sold yesterday, the day I was supposed to get a call after it was pulled. No help trying to get the part or a solution to help me out. Usually things go pretty smoothly here but today I've been screwed and my friend is screwed with rain in the forecast. Not cool. At all.
Wow. We called to ask about a part (called 2 times didn’t pick up) and when someone did answer, the staff member was INCREDIBLY rude. We were trying to explain the part and the circumstances a bit and he kept interrupting and then he YELLED and said that WE weren’t listening !!?? Treating the caller like a child who doesn’t understand? All we did was ask if they had a part in stock?! Who does that in a professional setting?? Absolutely ridiculous, would not recommend this company and we will never give our business again. I should’ve gotten his name and reported it to the manager or owner of this place. Ridiculous
I bought a used motor low miles warrantied 90 days ...well they don't return calls ...they really don't warranty ....and what they do to fix this issue is so far nothing ....and my 90 days are coming to an end fast ....what a joke this company is coming out to be ... People trust me !!!! Don't spend your money here with this company
Bought a transmission for my truck for 1200$ I brought it home they guaranteed it for 60 days. the tranny is no good. They said the tranny I got ISNT the tranny I purchased!! They are OUTRIGHT CROOKS at highway 101 auto in SAVAGE

Found a white one with 2 quite deep gouges that could have been touched up.. Rust on hinge, 300k mile van .. look at my phone and see how much new ones are and there $22 amazon, showed her a pic and she says, great there ya go!!!
yes I would have to spray a coat of white paint on the new one. So would you take $15-20? Nope .. even the gentleman behind her I believe in employees that you're not going to work with him on that? Nope.. and you know it's going to get crushed with the van..
so if you're looking for convenience that's what it's all about not saving the customer money.. which is why you go to the salvage yard? They're used parts prices are the same as my business discount at O'Reilly for new ones.
That's why u pull r parts probably does three times the revenue.. yes a nice one was there for $10.93 after tax
One Star - Avoid at All Costs! Terrible Experience!
This company deserves zero stars. I ordered a used engine for my 1993 Ford Ranger on January 30th from a sales agent named Chris and paid $800. Eight days later, Chris called to tell me the engine was "no good" and that he was cancelling the order. Fine, I said, just refund my money. That's when the nightmare began.
Chris completely ghosted me. He stopped answering my calls. When I finally called their toll-free number, the owner, a man named Kent, answered. After I explained the situation, he incredibly told me it wasn't his responsibility! Unbelievable!
These people are completely unprofessional, rude, and unresponsive. They took my money, cancelled the order, and now refuse to refund me. I'm left with no engine and no money. This has been an absolute disaster.
We have left with no other option, so I am getting this payment stopped from my bank.

I attempted to resolve the pending refund issue by calling Highway 101's toll-free number. Instead of receiving assistance, I was verbally abused by Kent. He explicitly stated he was retaliating due to a negative review I had previously written. This abusive behavior is appalling.
All I wanted to say after getting such treatment from these people, that If I don't get my money back within 24 hours please be prepared for a Tsunami of negative reviews along with the call recording.
They had what I needed as they usually do! Been going here for over 40 years. I miss seeing Bob and Jim. The whole crew there now is awesome and very knowledgeable.
as of yet, i just got my engine today. it isnt the one i ordered. i was told id be getting a 150k mile engine from their yard. low and behold 3 weeks after i ordered and they took my money, i get an engine from another yard, which i would never have ordered my engine from being the ones they had had 100k miles more than the one i seemingly ordered from them. nobody contacted me throughout the process, i had to call 3 times and check in on it. i grew up in the business with eddy as my father. i know how shady junkyards get, and this order is a great example of that.
Very rude.didnt give us a receipt. But says bring the rims back u will get $20 each. What a liar. The only friendly people there were the Hispanic guys doing all the work. He says givee 15 minutes and then literally ignores me for overa half hour.
(Still haven't got called for my alternator and it's been 3 weeks) if you want your part pulled call them back after placing your order and tell them your going to a different yard to get the part then they will call you back within a minute and tell you your stuff is ready
This yard has fell apart completely since they shut Down there u-pull section of the yard, dont bother trying to get parts from this place, I called for a alternator 3 days ago and haven't got a call back.(alternator is on top of engine and took me 20 minutes to take mine out) They overcharge as well, upullit in Rosemount is your best bet instead of giving your money to these fools.
Like i said, this yard was great before the fire but now I wouldn't refer this to anybody even if they were the only yard that had the part I needed I'd buy it brand new instead
this place a joke. I waited outside there gate for my part and half there employees left 30 minutes before close when they could of been getting my alternator but I instead bought one new from oriellys.... u pull it is a must!!!
When you say Christmas Eve and Christmas Day hours may differ, could you be more specific and say just closed if you’re really closed so we don’t waste the time calling thank you
These guys are crooks. They sold me an engine that knocked. Then they dragged their feet on getting either a replacement engine or my money back that they won't honor the three month warranty. I would avoid these guys with everything you have.
Wow! I called because they advertised two parts as prefect quality parts. I asked to confirm they were good and not repaired before. They told me one was sold and the other has been there a long time and doesn't know. I asked can you look I'm interested. They said no and said not worth my time hung up on me!
Just had a bad experience with them they had told me that I could get a return and get my money back if the transmission did not work. Transmission did not work. I tried to return it but they would not allow me to do so. They had lied. The guy Tomas is very rude not professional at all. For anyone looking to buy parts from them Dont!
The service is really bad. Be careful when buying from here because if the product doesn’t work, they won’t accept any type of exchange or refund, even when the product has a warranty.
The first time I went, the guy working(Chris, I think) was very kind and super helpful. I just went back today to try find an alternator for my Bronco II and the other guy that was working was sooooo rude. I was shocked. I guess misery loves company. Well I’m not gonna let it ruin my day. He didnt seem to have much knowledge and I started to ask questions so that might have something to do with it. Oh well
Friendly, helpful, and courteous service. I needed a wheel for a spare tire, filled out the online request, and promptly received a call informing me they had what I was looking for. They pulled the wheel and had it ready for me the next day. I wholeheartedly recommend Hwy 101 Auto Salvage.

So much better than other salvage yards that charge a warranty fee without even asking you if you want a warranty, plus other yards you can't return without that warranty.
Just got told by the manager that he’d sell me any other door for cheaper except for the color I want. Same quality, same door, but because I want it, he’s going to charge me more because it’s worth more to me. That’s not customer service, that’s not good business practice, and whether he wants to admit it or not, that IS price gauging. Do what you want, but if you want to be treated right, look for your parts elsewhere.
I called before 4pm and asked if they had a part on hand. I talked to Chris who said they had it. I get here to find out they can’t get the part pulled until tomorrow. I even offered to go and pull the part myself which is two bolts. All I get is no, no and no. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and this is some of the worse customer service experiences I’ve ever had. If it wasn’t for the convenient location I wouldn’t have ever came here after my first visit. They overcharge, they can’t maintain the road or the parking lot. You’ll probably get a flat tire driving in and out. You’ve been warned.
Never in my life have I dealt with more unethical, terrible, scummy business. These guys sold me an engine with a bad head & head gasket, and refuse to work with me on the warranty after thousands of dollars worth of labor put into the car. If I can sort things out with these guys, I will 100% be filing a lawsuit.
I could not recommend AGAINST these guys more. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
Their warranty is garbage, and their sales guy I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude. Wouldn't let me get a word in, told me I was wasting my time, and told to try calling a week later to get someone else to "give them my sales pitch." His name was George, by the way. Absolutely terrible experience.
Getting a windshield from this place, I was just called and was told it was ready. Next day I call and let them know I was in my way. A good 2 hours before hand. Need to say it's a hour drive one way for me. I get there and they said it has not ready for me and it would take 40 minutes. Long story short this place sucks, costed me money to get there and I get nothing. Thanks
Is it possible to give 0 stars?! Not only has it been 1 time of bad service it’s been multiple times! Called to get a part pulled, they didn’t pull it cause we didn’t pay but when we called they didn’t explain to us that we needed to pay over the phone so we went to get the part, wasn’t ready. Never got apologized to just got blamed that it was our fault. So we call again a second time to pay and they advised the part would be ready next day, the next day we go and try to get the part, again not ready. Needed another part called and paid they advise we could pick up the same day and they would call us when it was ready, called them at 430 wondering if the part was ready, again not ready. Do not, unless really in desperate need of crappy customer service go here. Horrible customer service and you’ll just get lied to anyways.
These guys are great! Extremely helpful and helped me out of a real jam. I bought a used engine from these guys and some other parts. Everything works great! I'll be recommending Highway 101 to everyone. I didn't come across a single rude or unhelpful individual. They knew the answers to questions I had due to inexperience. Their place is a bit hard to find, but just trust the GPS. Really great experience, thank you!
