Brought my daughter's car in for an oil change and they inspected the car and gave me recommend repairs. I really appreciated that as my daughter just purchased the car. We had them do several repairs and decided to wait on a couple. The work was done well. I would recommend them and will be using them in the future

9,936 stars. Phenomenal customer service, work, and cat based business model with immaculate vibes. Also, a godsend for someone who has no idea what they’re doing around cars. They will give you a detailed breakdown with photos of each issue for your estimate- even down to dirty filters for regular maintenance. Four sweet kitties guard the office so make sure to stop in for scritches. I will never bring my car anywhere else for service.

Turbo Tim’s is the real deal. I needed a battery that I had purchased at AutoZone installed in my BMW 328i and they were able to schedule me in right away, install, and register the battery (req’d on BMWs). Although this was not any major repair or maintenance work, here’s why I am so impressed with TT’s: I offered to let them purchase the battery so they could make a margin and they refused, saying I would get a better deal if I purchased myself; secondly, they were able to schedule me in right away, despite being fully booked; third, they also found a burned-out bulb and offered to replace it, and; fourth the guys in the shop were so friendly, professional, and straightforward, I felt like my best friend was doing the work! On top of all that, we had some really fun banter while I was waiting for my car. I am so glad I found this shop and there is no question that I’ll be going to TT’s to get future work done on our vehicles. Thanks guys!

I was in the market for a new (used) truck and came across one with a price that seemed too good to be true, so I took it to the team at Turbo Tim's in Mounds View for a pre-purchase inspection. They did a thorough inspection and fully documented everything that the truck needed with photos/videos and quotes. Long story short, they recommended not purchasing the truck unless I could get it for the right price (which I did not). A less reputable shop could've undersold the problems and then made some good money off of me with a ballooning repair bill, but instead Turbo Tim's was focused on gaining my trust and provided a true and honest assessment of the vehicle for a very reasonable price. My Dad had me turning wrenches and ratchets on the farm since I was 4 or 5 years old (kids can fit into much tighter spaces) and I've been wrenching on my own vehicles for 30 years doing everything from brakes and oil changes to engine rebuilds and transmission swaps. I will continue to do so whenever possible (I'm weird like that) so I can teach my son the way my Dad taught me...but Darius and the team at Turbo Tim's will be my first call for anything that is beyond what my schedule, ability or tool collection will allow. BTW...if you like cats you will love Turbo Tim's. I'm a dog person, but even I can appreciate a few good shop cats roaming around. 👌✌️

Turbo Tim’s did me a huge favor!! I needed a TON of work done on my car involving warranty coverage. The total price was just out of the question due to the amount of work needed. Jack handled the very difficult warranty company for me for 2 weeks and went back and forth and eventually made sure they covered a majority of the cost of the work. I truly feel like they went above and beyond for me even when it was made difficult for them. Without this I would have had to scrap the car. They worked so hard for me and did the work well and kept me informed. Turbo Tim’s has always been super honest with me about what actually needs to be fixed vs what could wait. You can tell they want your business and not just your money. They also provide a great breakdown of the work with prices and reasoning. They made me feel very supported and I will trust them with my business as long as I live in Minnesota!! I would recommend to anyone!! Thank you Jack and Darius!!

Went for a simple oil change. They had some very cute staff members, who were quite soft and loving. The not quite as cute staff members had solid customer service however. They provided me a time window, and it was done earlier than they initially said. They provided pictures and explanations of the additional concern, but didn't press me to get it done right away. They also made sure I understood what was happening, and didn't make me feel like an idiot for knowing jack all about vehicles.

TURBO TIM’S was quick to correspond on my initial visit. They seem to want to be transparent and open with their communications. I’ll need a little time with my vehicle to really feel comfortable with the work performed. I would not give TURBO TIM’S a “5” and a “4” may be a stretch at this time. One positive was that they were able to get my truck in quickly and communicated well for that initial visit. They did find a number of things that they recommended fixing that were not on my initial list of concerns. I had to get my truck back in after my second trip following the service, and this did not build confidence. In comparison, One local FORD dealer would not respond to or return calls, and a second FORD dealer would not confirm if they would begin work on a vehicle on the scheduled date. My initial reason for going here was to have an engine light diagnosed and squeaky brakes. The engine light ended up being a manifold issue, that I expected, and I’m okay with the manifold being replaced. I’ve never had one replaced, and it was very expensive. When changing the manifold, they apparently found a hose that was leaking. There has never been an indication of a leak or a low level of coolant, but the hoses were probably original to the truck, and with my approval they changed several hoses. MORE ON THIS TO COME. The brakes and rotors were replaced, and this was the most I’ve paid to get them replaced. There has been some squeaking still, but I’m hoping that goes away in a few days. They also suggested some tie rod, ball joint and sway bar repairs with an alignment, and I approved it. They suggested a tire rotation, although my nearly new tires barely had 3000 miles on them. I’ll have this done for free. The truck travels down the road OKAY now, but I’ll give it a little time and get the rotation soon. I was initially told my rear shocks were worn out, but the inspection notes said they were okay. We discussed this, twice, and I held off on it. I was without my truck initially for two days. Concern:I picked up my truck on a Friday and on my second trip with it, on Saturday, I had a “SEE MANUAL” with a “wrench light” illuminate on the dashboard for a moment. My code reader suggested this was from an Output Speed Sensor.. On Sunday, I received a text from the store checking on things. I shared my concern about the new warning. I received a phone call a short time later. This ended up with another day without my truck while it was at TURBO TIM’S. On my next visit I was told the truck was being looked at beginning around 10:00am. By 4:15pm, I still had not heard back. I texted the tech number and the manager. I was eventually told they had been “hung up with other customers.” I was told it was done around 4:30. I was told the engine light was caused by something in the history or was possibly triggered by the recent repairs. As noted earlier-I had a concern. The technician said he took the truck for a drive for more than twenty (20) miles. No engine lights illuminated but he said one of the hoses they replaced had a failure and they replaced them all again. I’m a little concerned, but I hope everything is fixed. As noted, TURBO TIM’S was quick to correspond on my initial visit. They seem to want to be transparent and open with their communications. I’ll need a little time with my vehicle to really feel comfortable with the work performed.

Turbo Tim's in Mounds View does such a good job of being respectful and attentive to their customers while addressing the needs of your car. Prices seem reasonable and the atmosphere is very welcoming. And the resident cats are quite friendly and sweet.

Great customer service. Very transparent and straightforward. They are willing to communicate with you about all possible solutions with your vehicle and are willing to work with you. Turbo Tim’s is very detail oriented, thorough and wants what is best for you and your situation. Mechanics are very well trained and knowledgeable to all different aspects of your vehicle. Also my kids and wife enjoy playing with the cats when we visit turbo Tim’s.

The people here are Amazing! I called in for advice about my 2014 Chevy Traverse suddenly sounding like a motorcycle! Darious provides great information that helped me relax and understand what was likely going on. During out time he suggested 2 other places that are smaller but do great work. He was right!! I took my car to Economy Muffler in St Paul and got Amazing service, awesome and knowledgeable staff, and they were fast to boot! I will be bringing both my cars here from now on for all out general maintenance needs! THANK YOU!!!

Friendly, engaging staff. Competent mechanic work. I took my Toyota Camry in to have the brake and clutch lines flushed. They competently advised not to flush the clutch lines until the clutch needs changing. I appreciated that. The only reason for four stars instead of five is the 50 point check and some recommended additional work that really doesn't need doing at present. Eg. new radiator-- it's not leaking, the car runs cool, I've flushed the coolant on schedule. Also a new battery-- this one is three years old. So on the additional service or parts they might recommend, I would have a thorough conversation with them as to whether it's really needed. Nice people, I'm sure they would talk it through.

When I dropped off my car, the manager texted me to make sure my needs were met, and gave me an honest update about the extent of what my car needs to be worked on. They were fast to get my car done on every visit I had. Even the next day asking how my car is running. I like the fact they take pictures of my car and shows you what parts needs to be worked on with priority attached. I was given a discount on my bill just being a customer. This garage is better than friendly chevrolet and I am sure better than other garages nearby in the surrounding cities. Plus the cats that walk to you to greet me makes my day. Definitely a place you want your car or truck worked on.

Moundsview location. This was my 1st time to turbo tims. Customer service and atmosphere at this location was great. I had been going to another shop in Lexington for the last 25 years. But lately we have been having to return jobs for the last couple of years due to mishandled work. This is the 1st time we've had diagnostic work done with an email update with pictures and videos. Also new to us we were given a list of most important to least and we were able to pick which work we wanted done. It was quick and so far no problems with the work done. Overall this will be my new place to go. Also I did double check prices with my original shop with work that I was having done and turbo tims was under the price given to me by my original shop, so bonus points to TT's.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Turbo Tim’s is pure magic. I brought my Toyota Venza in for some much-needed upkeep and was met by the dynamic duo, Jack and Darius—equal parts automotive sages and absolute legends. I tried to stay focused on their expert guidance, but the irresistible feline supervisors roaming the shop kept demanding little nose boops. (Who am I to deny such royalty?) Jack walked me through every detail—in person and with video/text updates—making sure I understood exactly what my car needed and why. Together, he and Darius helped me build a realistic 90-day maintenance plan so I can keep driving my car like I stole it and still hit my fantasy goal of 300k miles. I love their devotion to truth, integrity, transparency… and animals. Turbo Tim’s is simply the best. Five stars and a nose boop! 🐾✨

Can't say enough about the caliber of service I received. From the communication to accommodating my timeline. Even when the repair became more than i initially thought, they walked me through the process and properly inspected my vehicle rather than repair what I thought. Saved my vehicle for the long term. The diagnostic was key, so I will have a better idea of what's might happen next, also the cost associated with it. Been some of the best experiences with an auto shop I've had in decades.

Great service with great prices! Plus, there are cats hanging out in the lobby!! Now that is a perfect combo if I've ever seen one! Another awesome "perk" they offer is a free ride to and from your appt if you don't have one. That was very helpful. All in all, the staff was personable, my car is running amazing, the prices are very reasonable, they were upfront about any work needed, but not pushy, and accepted my decisions without delay. I will be returning for future services and would definitely recommend Turbo Tim's to others.

Turbo Tim's is awesome!!! I will NOT be taking my vehicles anywhere else. The care that they gave my car is unmatched with any other garage around. They listened and took everything under consideration before proceeding (like a friend).. If your car's issue is a hidden one, Turbo Tim's won't take advantage and jack the price way up (if it's simple). Which is what happened to me. They made the repair quick and the price was more than fair.. I highly recommend Turbo Tim's for any repair. Oh yeah.. Their cats were adorable as well 😊

Great new shop in Mounds View. Come and visit the cats in the waiting room while the shop works on your car. I had an AC charge done for $200 which I thought was very reasonable. I'll be back. We have gone to their RC race events also which is fun for the whole family. Need to get the car painted next to hide the fact that my daughter crashed it. :/

Darius and Jack are fantastic!! I can’t recommend Turbo Tim’s and the Mounds View location enough! They went out of their way to troubleshoot my car with me, listened to my worries and understood that I wasn’t able to fix everything, gave me accurate and descriptive invoices, and communicated the entire process with me!! I love that you can text the number and call, and someone will answer within minutes! I’ve had some not so great experiences with people working on my Subaru in the past, but Jack was amazing and I felt reassured that they wouldn’t mess up my car. I’ve genuinely never had a better experience than here. The cats are adorable too! I also appreciate that the shop is wheelchair accessible! It can be difficult to find an auto shop that wheelchair users can roll on into. The one thing is that the counter is a bit too high for a wheelchair user and the people behind the accessible counter did not acknowledge this, making it awkward to pay and talk about my car while below eye level with the regular counter.

Would definitely recommend Turbo Tim’s to anyone looking to get work done on their vehicle! Their inspection was the most thorough I’ve ever had - and I’ve previously only been to dealerships for work. I was sent detailed photos and diagnostics for everything that needed to be done and this made it super convenient to decide what I wanted to prioritize. The employees are really friendly, super prompt with replying and giving updates/answering questions, and the cats are sooo cute. I love the fact that I can drop off my car overnight so I don’t have to worry about making a certain appointment time. My car was done really quickly and everything works great a week later - no issues. Love this place - thanks so much guys. :)

Great setvice and amazing communication. I got a screw in my tire on the way to work one day. I was able to schedule a same day appointment. I dropped off my car and they provided a lyft ride back to my work at no cost. They went over my entire vehicle with pictures and a few recommended services with good descriptions. The work was completed on my car in a few hours and I was able to pick it up quickly. Will definitely be bringing my car back for service.

Excellent communication. I decided to leave Subaru and Ford dealerships and brought 3 cars over to Turbo Tim's. Darius and Sean were incredibly communicative and helpful. I asked a lot of questions so I really understood why the recommended maintenance was necessary and a framework for a plan going forward. I gained a lot of confidence choosing what to proceed with and what to hold off on after Darius and Sean took the time to explain things in detail. Lastly, scheduling is really easy and next day appointments are often no problem. They provide Lyft car service to get you where you need to go and back to your car after maintenance is done. I will definitely be coming back.

First time at Turbo Tim’s, but absolutely won’t be my last! Really appreciate the staff’s helpful explanations of what they observed during my vehicle inspection, and the invoice system was very well-created as I was easily able to accept/decline any services recommended. I also loved the free Lyft drive to/from the shop, and it was so easy to coordinate a drop off time for my vehicle. Lastly… THE CATS. They were the best, and were so sweet to hang out with while waiting to pick up my vehicle. Thanks for a great experience!

A wonderful experience! They always give you a thourough breakdown with every car check-up with easy to follow explainations as well as recommendations from highest to lowest priority services!! They did wonderful work on my car and I could tell the difference before and after maintenance! The staff is super helpful and friendly, and the cats in the lobby are the cherry on top! Would HIGHLY recommend for your next car appointment :)

I brought my vehicle to Turbo Tim’s in Moundsview for a tricky head gasket repair, and the experience was excellent. The communication was top-notch, with detailed notes, pictures, and videos during the diagnosis that made everything clear. The workmanship on the repair itself was also top-notch, flawless results, and they even went above and beyond by wiping down all the engine components they had taken apart and reassembled, which really shows how proud they are of their work. While a few unexpected hiccups popped up (as can happen during complex repairs), the way Darius and Sean skillfully navigated them and kept me informed every step of the way impressed me and earned my trust. Head gasket repairs are some of the most technically demanding car repairs you can get, often requiring 20+ hours of labor and many parts. I left Turbo Tim’s having spent thousands of dollars on an advanced repair, and yet I walked out with a huge smile on my face. It was entirely my interactions with Darius, Sean, and Jack that transformed the experience. The staff are clearly passionate about what they do, and it shows in every interaction with customers. Lastly, and I do not say this lightly, Darius is the most skilled, empathetic, and passionate store manager of ANY store I’ve ever encountered, whether it’s a mechanic shop or any other type of business. He clearly takes full responsibility for everything happening in the store, and forget going an extra mile in customer service, he goes an extra twenty to ensure your questions and concerns are addressed. I’m genuinely impressed and will likely be a lifetime Turbo Tim’s customer because of my interactions with him.

Best auto shop EVER! First off, they have shop Cats!! Second, great service! Easy to use system to set an appointment, texts to confirm and remind you. Easy options to drop off your vehicle and they help with rides. Next, getting work done. Quick review of my brakes not working and find they have a simple $45 to look at the car, not just what I wanted but other stuff too. (don't worry, they don't over pressure you). So brakes. I thought I needed new pads, but they measured and sent pictures to show I still had plenty of pad space. They thought possibly brake fluid cause it had never been changed and was dirty. But they wanted some more time to double check. Turns out there was other stuff going on and fixed that instead! I have a nice long list of things to do to the car, that I can choose anytime I need via their site. They didn't pressure me or tell me my car would fall apart if I didn't do it. They gave me the costs and let me make the decisions. They have CATS!!! Also, check out all of the community stuff they will be doing! And not just here in Mounds View, but all of their shops! I'll be going to the auto shop for RC races and other stuff now too! Go check them out!
